Lockdown 2009: TNA Knockouts Title Match: TNA Knockout Champion Awesome Kong versus Angelina Love versus Taylor Wilde - Original report by Richard Trionfo
Love tries to climb out of the cage and Kong goes after her and she kicks Love. Meanwhile Taylor watches for a second and then Taylor attacks Angelina. Taylor sends Angelina into the cage and then Wilde Irish whips Love into Kong. Kong wants Wilde for a wheelbarrow move but she slams Wilde on the mat instead of Love. Kong with a chop against the ropes. Kong gets Love up for a power bomb, but Love tries for a sunset flip but Kong stays up. She tries to drop down but Love moves. Love and Wilde both work together on Kong and they get near fall. Love and Wilde get chest-to-chest and then Wilde gets a near fall but Love with a bridge and back slide for a near fall. Love with a clothesline. Love with an Irish whip and then Kong sends Taylor into the cage. Angelina tries for a rollup but that is not a smart thing to try because Kong does not budge. Kong grabs Angelina by the throat and tosses her across the ring. Kong with a giant swing on Love and then she pulls up Angelina while standing on Angelina's hair. Kong tosses Angelina across the ring by her hair and then she tosses Taylor across the ring.
Kong with a choke slam to Love and then Kong goes to the turnbuckles and she tries for a somersault splash but she misses Angelina. Taylor makes the save and she kicks Kong in the process. Love with a kick to Wilde and then Angelina ties Kong's hair into the cage. Saeed chases Velvet Sky around the ring. Wilde goes up top while Love mocks Kong. Wilde hits a cross body but she can only get a two count. Saeed tries to get Kong out of the cage while Wilde has Angelina in a reverse chin lock. Kong kicks Wilde away and Angelina Love gets the three count.
Winner: Angelina Love
Impaxt 8/13/26: TNA Champion Nic Nemeth vs. Jeff Hardy
After big-time ring introductions, they started shoving each other at the bell. They grappled with Nemeth working over Hardy's arm. Hardy countered but was hit with a big dropkick. Nemeth choked him against the ropes. Hardy battled back and ran Nemeth into the buckles. Nemeth drilled him with a right. Hardy went for his submission but Nemeth battled him off and worked over Hardy. Hardy made a comeback and sent the champ to the floor, then hit him with a flying clothesline off the apron to the floor.
Hardy sent Nemeth into the ring steps and tossed him back into the ring. Hardy nailed a dropkick to the back of the neck and scored a two count. Hardy was hit with a back elbow and smashed into the buckles over and over. Nemeth nailed a elbowdrop and scored a two count. Hardy came back with a series of body blows and drilled him into the corner. Hardy went to the top but was tripped and crotched himself. He fell backwards into the tree of woe. Nemeth worked over Hardy and pulled him down into the ring. Nemeth continued the assault and locked on a chinlock, riding Hardy down to the mat. Nemeth continued to work over Hardy, drilling him with another elbow before going back to the chinlock. He ripped at Hardy's eyes. Hardy made a comeback and nailed a series of elbows and an inverted atomic drop. He nailed the Kruncher legdrop and scored a two count.
Jeff went for Spinal Destination but Nemeth shoved him off into the corner. Nemeth nailed a DDT for a two count. He attacked Hardy's knee and went for The Famouser but Hardy caught him with a powerbomb for a two count. Hardy nailed a stunner, then went for The Twist of Fate. Nemeth shoved him off and nailed a superkick for a close two count.
Nemeth went for the Danger Zone but Hardy avoided and nailed a cutter. Hardy went to the top and went for a swanton but Nemeth pulled his knees up. Nemeth scored a two count. He went to superkick Hardy. Jeff caught it but was snapped into the Danger Zone and Nemeth scored the pin.

The first participant for Team Angle is Kurt Angle. The first member of Team Jarrett is Christopher Daniels.
Daniels and Angle go face-to-face. Angle pushes Daniels, and Daniels takes Angle down with a double leg and stands on Angle’s head. Angle responds with a kick and a forearm. Daniels takes Angle down again and works on the arm, transitioning from a hammerlock into a side headlock, holding on tightly when Angle tries for an Irish whip. Angle hits a belly-to-back suplex, but Daniels maintains the headlock. Angle sends Daniels into the turnbuckles and then into the cage. Daniels connects with a punch to stagger Angle, hits a leg lariat, and sends Angle into the turnbuckles. Angle charges into a boot, and Daniels hits a curb stomp from the top rope. Daniels sets Angle on top and connects with a palm thrust, following up with a cross-arm powerbomb to continue wearing down Angle. Angle fights back with an elbow and a punch followed by a suplex. Angle applies a side headlock, but Daniels escapes with clotheslines, then delivers a Flatliner into a Koji Clutch.
The next entrant for Team Angle is Booker T.
Booker enters the ring and breaks up the hold on Angle. Booker hits Daniels with chops, knees, and a punch to the midsection. Booker misses a side heel kick, allowing Daniels to hit a dropkick. Daniels runs Booker into the corner and connects with shoulder thrusts. Booker sends Daniels into a European uppercut from Angle. Angle kicks Daniels in the head, and Booker holds Daniels so Angle can land a punch.
The next participant for Team Jarrett is A.J. Styles.
Styles hustles to the ring, punching Angle and Booker before hitting a dropkick on Angle. Booker punches Styles, but Styles sends Booker crashing into Daniels. Styles and Daniels execute a series of double-team moves on Booker. Styles punches and kicks Booker while Daniels works over Angle, hitting Angle with a gutwrench suplex. Angle punches Daniels, but Daniels responds with a clothesline. Styles and Booker trade simultaneous clotheslines, leaving both men down.
The third member of Team Angle is Scott Steiner.
Steiner rushes to the ring and lays out Styles and Daniels with clotheslines. Steiner sets Daniels on the top turnbuckle and executes a super overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Steiner punches Styles on top and hits a Frankensteiner. Steiner works on Styles while Booker kicks Daniels. Steiner hits a clothesline followed by his flexed elbow drop (without the push-ups). Angle delivers an elbow drop to Styles, Booker hits a back heel kick on Styles, and Steiner lands another clothesline and flexed elbow drop on Daniels—this time accompanied by push-ups from both Booker and Steiner.
The third member of Team Jarrett is Samoa Joe.
Joe’s music plays, but he doesn't come out right away. Steiner talks to someone while Booker kicks Daniels and Angle slams Styles. Joe finally emerges after giving himself a pep talk. Joe hits Steiner with a head-and-arm suplex and sends Booker into the cage. Joe delivers a clothesline to Angle, another head-and-arm suplex, and plants Booker with a powerslam. Joe chops Steiner, hits a senton splash, and then Daniels sends Angle into the cage wall. Daniels punches Angle while Styles punches Steiner.
The final member of Team Angle is Kevin Nash.
Joe slams the cage door into Nash on his way in and punches Nash on the floor. Nash counters with a knee and sends Joe into the ring post. Nash enters the cage, chokeslams Styles, and hits a side slam on Daniels. Joe lands punches on Nash. Booker accidentally strikes Angle, allowing Daniels to hit Booker with a jawbreaker. Styles hits Steiner with a Pele kick. Joe holds Nash in place for the Best Moonsault Ever (BME) from Daniels, and Angle drops Joe with a German suplex.
The final entrant in the match is Jeff Jarrett. It is time for Lethal Lockdown to officially begin as the roof lowers.
Jarrett enters with punches for Angle and Booker, followed by a double clothesline. Team Jarrett retrieves weapons and attacks Team Angle. As the match transitions to the Lethal Lockdown Channel split-screen, Joe throws a trash can at Steiner’s legs, Jarrett strikes Steiner with a trash can lid, Joe hits Steiner with the trash can, and Jarrett strikes Steiner across the back. Meanwhile, Styles and Angle climb to the top of the cage.
Angle and Styles square off on top of the cage and exchange punches. Angle sets up for a suplex to the floor, but Styles blocks it. Styles punches Angle near the edge, leaving Angle hanging over the side of the cage as action continues inside the ring.
Team Angle regains control inside the ring. Angle returns to the inside of the cage, giving Team Angle the advantage until Styles drops back into the ring. Angle hits an Olympic Slam on Jarrett, prompting the Main Event Mafia to celebrate. Styles delivers a massive dive through the top of the cage onto the members of Team Angle. Daniels gets a near-fall on Angle. Joe hits Steiner with a trash can. Daniels lands a kick on Angle followed by an STO. Steiner drops Daniels with a belly-to-belly suplex. Joe hits a reverse atomic drop and executes the Muscle Buster on Steiner, but Booker breaks it up with a jumping heel kick. Booker hits the Spinaroonie, but Styles catches him with a punch. Booker answers with a knee and sets up for the axe kick, but Jarrett swings a chair—Booker moves, causing Jarrett to accidentally strike Styles instead. Angle goes for a cover on Styles for a near-fall.
Joe yells at Jarrett. Angle hits an Olympic Slam on Joe, but Daniels breaks up the pinfall. Daniels lands the Angel’s Wings on Angle for a near-fall. Steiner hits a Flatliner on Daniels, leaving everyone down except Jarrett. Jarrett grabs his guitar and looks to hit Booker. Jarrett strikes Booker with the guitar, and Styles crawls over to cover Booker for the three-count.
Winners: Team Jarrett
Ray Jaz vs. Eli Isom
Isom offered a handshake before the bout but was blown off. Jaz took him to the mat and they had some nice back and forth grappling. Isom was taken down and hit with The Sicilian Slice legdrop to the back of the neck for a two count. Jaz locked on a side chinlock. Isom fought his way back to his feet. Jaz drilled Isom with right hands in the corner and took him down. He went for a belly to back suplex but Isom escaped and hit a big overhead throw suplex. Isom psyched himself up and charged with a leaping forearm. He nailed a knee strike and hit a big spinout slam for a two count.
Jaz came back with a big dropkick and a flying lariat for a two count. Jaz pulled him up for a fireman's carry. Isom escaped and went for a suplex but Jaz landed on the outside. He leapt into the ring for a backslide combination. Isom escaped and nailed a brainbuster for the pin.
