SOLO’S CEILING, THE INTERIM TITLE (UGH), SOME FANS ARE SIMPLY DIM AND MORE

Mike's recent answer about Jerry Lawler's reaction to a fan admittedly popped me as I can mentally envision the laugh. Which reminds me, how much of an MVP talent was the King between 1995-96 WWF?

You would laugh even more if you knew the fan he was talking about!  If there was a Loser scale, he would be at the top of it.  He is the five star match of losers!  And yes, because "puppies" became a thing Lawler was fantastic.  He was still good after that, but he was great for it.  But, that is what the times called for.

Rhea Ripley had surgery on her knee.  I heavily questioned/criticized this "Interim" bullshit, and even asked you previously what happens if Rhea needs surgery?  As per Google, it spit out this info for me:  4 to 6 weeks for a partial meniscectomy and 3 to 6 months (sometimes up to 9 months) for a meniscus repair. Your exact healing time depends on whether your surgeon trims or stitches the damaged cartilage. So I guess the question is which surgery did Rhea have?  Because if it's the latter, having an interim champion over that long of a period is just stupid.  If it's a lengthy absence, do you have any hope that someone will just step and say" OK, Chelsea needs to be the champ, period." ?

I don’t know which kind she had.  That’s up to her to announce.   But I can say that I hated the interim tag from the start, which I have made clear.  What made it worse is that they had Liv Morgan bragging about not defending the Title in 100 days.  If she can do it, why can’t Rhea?  It’s just another example of HHH’s bad booking choices of late.  And given how they booked her on Smackdown, I am not sure she will even keep the Title that long.  So, the answer is I’ve Got Nothin’!

What is Solo's ceiling, in your opinion? Could he eventually enter the main event/title picture? He has been so great lately. I'm still laughing at him running it back at Summer Slam.

The personality that he has shown in the last month or two is awesome.  Personalities sell, that’s for sure.  History has shown us that.  So could he get there?  Absolutely.  It’s up to Creative to make it happen.

With it being announced that the Royal Rumble will be in February this year, a lot of people are sounding upset with it not being in January this year. Do most people forget that the Rumble is almost always the weekend prior to the Superbowl and that the Superbowl is on Feb 14th this year? So while there is no "official date" Feb 6th or 7th wouldn't really be that surprising based when the NFL scheduled things thing year. Why do you think people are so upset about it being maybe a week later than usual when it's probably still falling where it usually does compared to other major events?

Yes, the people who don’t realize that are just not bright.  They don’t deserve your attention.  Why do I think that they are upset?  Well, sadly I think in most cases they have nothing better going on in their life so they complain about minutia.

After reading the reactions to RAW on Monday, I'm wondering how much a hot crowd can change someone's perceptions? Because while there are legit booking questions to be asked—when aren't there, in any wrestling promotion, at any point in time—that Des Moines crowd was into everything (except maybe the first couple of minutes of Fatu/Keyes, until the weapons came out anyways.)  Perhaps there's just an internet fan vs. live audience disconnect happening?

You should never judge someone by one crowd’s reaction, especially when it’s in a place when WWE doesn’t run that much and the crowd is just happy and thankful that they are there.  As I said above, a lot of the people that complain just don’t have anything better to do with themselves.  Me, I judge how viewing patterns are when a talent is on the screen.  I look at merch sales.  I looked at who goes to their signings, or doesn’t,.  Crowd reactions are a barometer, but they are less reliable to me that the other factors.
