WWE Fairfax 8/6
In the back: Miz, Chad Gable, and Chelsea Green.
Charlotte Flair v. Jacy Jayne w/ Fatal Influence.
Charlotte swiped their cowboy hat. Short match ended by DQ when Charlotte got the Figure-Four and the others ran in. Tiffany Stratton and Chelsea Green made the save and turned it into a six-woman tag.
Fatal Influence tried to bail and got hauled back. Tiffy hit her gymnastics and tagged in Chelsea, who got a huge pop. Chelsea was the face in peril. Charlotte got the hot tag and had a chop fest. In the end, Chelsea got the UnprettiHer for the win.
Danhausen on the video wall—he was doing the VIP signings.
Baron Corbin (c) vs. Trick Williams vs. Carmelo Hayes—US Title.
Melo out first to a good pop, folks are ready for him to get his shot. Trick’s already on Mt. Over. Huge "whoop that" chants.
Melo and Trick teamed to dump Corbin, then went at it with mutual admiration. Trick did stomps to "whoop that Trick" chants. Trick was the focus early on with Melo and Corbin taking powders, then they went at it with Trick outside.
After a bit of Corbin beating on Melo, Trick started his comeback. Three-way SmackDown ensued with Trick hitting the spinning boot and Melo hit First 48 on Corbin, all down.
Melo and Trick dumped Corbin again and went hard like it was NXT. They kept blocking each other's moves until Trick hit the Trick Shot and Corbin picked the bones on Melo to win.
Tron video of Maxxine and Austin Theory.
Miz Open Challenge.
Miz did mic work against Fairfax denizens. He swears he’s not cursed, but the crowd disagrees. He called for anyone to come out and Danhausen answered to talk. Miz beat on Danhausen, Danhausen cursed Miz right into…
Miz vs. Oba Femi.
Miz tried to keep the ref from ringing the bell, but Danhausen handled it. Three corner elbows, Fall From Grace, and game over. Danhausen did the Oba pose with him, then they strutted out together.
Vision (c) vs. Usos—World Tag Titles.
Yes, the Usos are the faces. The crowd chanted to run it back, not obliged at the start. Theory and Jey started, Jey yeeted and got the ref to yeet, then the ring announcer. He started to run it back, but Theory finally had enough and took Jey’s glasses. Jey yeet-punched him and tagged Jimmy, who teased a dive on Theory. Maxxine caught Jimmy’s leg and Bron nailed him and tagged in.
Bron beat on Jimmy and distracted the ref for Maxxine to hit a slap. Bron backbreaker and tag. Another Bron distraction for Maxxine and Theory to hit forearms. Theory punked Jey who grabbed a chair, ref cut him off, and Theory beat on Jimmy more. Jimmy hit a suplex, Bron dashed over to nail Jey to cut it off. Theory tried his rolling clothesline, but ate a superkick. Hot tag to both.
Jey punched out Bron, kicked Theory, and hit the Umaga splash on Bron for two. Bron hit his gutbuster for two. Lots of dog chants for Bron as the straps came down. Tag to Theory, but Jey spear for two. Jey went for the Uso splash, but Maxxine grabbed him for the DQ. Jimmy superkick saved Jey from Bron’s warp spear and they hit 1D.
Intermission.
War Raiders (c) vs. Fraxiom—AAA Tag Titles.
Speed vs. power to start with power winning. Crowd a little quiet from intermission, but also not seeing these guys much. Frazer got beat down. Fraxiom finally made headway and Frazer tried a dive, got caught, Axiom hit a flip dive from the top rope. Axiom paid for it though, with the Raiders working heel and obliterating Axiom, including Erik slamming Ivar onto Axiom. Hot tag Frazer, hit a standing shooting star for two. Everyone traded offense and Fraxiom tried, but Ivar stopped them, but missed the moonsault. Fraxiom hit their finish, but Erik barely saved. Crowd gave a "this is awesome" chant. War Raiders hit a double chokeslam for the win.
Chad Gable (c) vs. Ethan Page—IC Title.
Big title intro for this one. Big boos and "USA" chants for Page and love and "you deserve it" chants for Gable. Gable does an escape sequence that reminds me of Owen Hart. Page is great at being the jerk heel. Page escaped an ankle lock to the outside, but Gable dove off the apron, then hit him inside with a top rope crossbody. Page distracted the ref to get the advantage. Gable took a Bret Hart corner buckle.
Gable came back with a diving headbutt. Boo/yay punches won by Gable, Russian leg sweep and rolling kick. Gable grabbed an armbar over the ropes. Page hit a top rope shoulder slam for two. Ankle lock to a small package by Page. Gable hits the Angle Slam and ankle lock grapevine for the tap.
CM Punk & Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther & Ricky Saints.
It was a 3-way for the title supposedly, but card subject to change! Punk I think got louder cheers than Cody. Saints and Punk started. Punk hit some arm drags and slams, then Cody with flip, flop, and fly. Saints finally tagged Gunther who traded chops with Punk and won. Punk got beaten around by the heels and ate some more Gunther chops… I don’t recommend them. Saints tagged in and seesaw punched Punk on the ropes, then Gunther beat him down outside 'til Cody threatened a chair. Hot tag to Cody.
Cody got some offense, but Saints hit his ropewalk tornado DDT. Gunther back in and told he sucks by the crowd. More chops to prove he doesn’t. Saints in and does a strutting Old School. Tried again and was crotched. Gunther tried the powerbomb, Cody tried Cross Rhodes, double down to hot tags.
Punk in, Gunther tried the sleeper, Cody saved with Cross Rhodes, Saints shoves to Punk who hit the GTS and then put Saints into the Funk spinning toehold for the tap!
Punk and Cody with mic work and mutual admiration society. Punk offers a rematch anytime. Cody raises his hand. Pics and autographs after, of course.
