This week’s episode of Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling Mayhem is from St Clair College in Windsor, Ontario. Our commentary team is Don Callis and Mauro Ranallo.
The show starts with a video of Johnny TV putting himself over as a Hollywood star and talking about the 4-way match later in the show.
Johnny TV vs Evil Uno vs TJP vs Jonathan Gresham
Gresham and TV lock up. They run the ropes with Uno standing by, and TJP is tossed to the floor. Gresham and Uno give TV a hip toss. Uno forces Gresham into the corner and delivers clotheslines to him. TJP gets in the ring and is put in the corner with Gresham for clotheslines from Uno. Uno gives TJP a short-arm clothesline. Gresham and Uno trade waistlocks. Gresham gets a clothesline on Uno, and when TV gets in the ring, TJP gets one on him.
TJP and Gresham trade chops, and he takes down TJP as Uno takes a pair of kicks from TV. TJP gets a series of kicks on TV and then a springboard tiger feint kick on Uno. Gresham and TV run into the ropes, which knocks TJP to the floor. TV dives onto TJP, and Gresham then dives onto TV and knocks TV into the steps as we go to commercial.
When we return, RV knocks TJP to the floor. TV goes to the top, and Gresham joins him there. Uno then grabs Gresham. TJP drives them both into the corner, and Uno is able to slam TJP, who suplexes TV as well, and TJP covers TV for two. Uno misses a charge in the corner on TJP, who stomps Uno on the mat. TV charges at the corner, and TJP gets a drop to hold on to him and start working on RTV as well as Uno.
Gresham charges at the corner, and TJP catches him and hits a springboard spinning DDT. Everyone is brawling until all four men are down. Gresham is up first. He pulls up the TV, and they throw hands. Gresham gets an insigiri and TV hits a kick to the midsection followed by Moonlight Drive. TV goes to the top, but TJP is able to stop him and kicks TV’s feet out from under him.
TV lands on Gresham and covers for two, broken up by TJP getting a double stomp from the top. Gresham is able to grab TJP for a small package for two. Uno returns to the ring, and TJP dodges his kick so that it hits Gresham. Uno gets a kick and a DDT on TJP. Uno hits Spinning Evil on TJP for the pin and the win.
Winner: Evil Uno.
We get an interview with Adam Copeland talking about going to Maple Leaf Gardens as a kid and wanting to perform there now.
Taylor Rising w/Chirs Chambers vs “Big Al” Alice Crowley
They lock up, and Taylor forces them to the corner and breaks clean. They lock up, and Alice gets a side headlock takeover, and Taylor reverses it and gets free. Alice sends Taylor to the corner and gets a big chop. Alice goes to run the ropes, and Taylor trips her. Alice gets a series of chops in the corner, and then whips Alice to the corner, where she gets a tip up. Alice gets a hip toss. Alice gets a kick, and then a basement drop kick for two.
Taylor rakes Alice’s eyes to block a suplex. And then slams Alice’s head into the top turnbuckle. Taylor gets a big kick in the corner and then drags her from the corner for ground and pound. Taylor gets a snap suplex for two. Taylor whips Alice to the corner and follows with a hip attack and a forearm strike. Alice gets a boot up,m but Taylor hits a snap mare into a front chinlock. They run the ropes, and Alice gets a lariat and a back elbow. Alice gets a Saito suplex for two.
Alice gets a casadora into a rollup for the pin and the win.0
Winner: “Big Al” Alice Crowley
Taylor attacks Alice after the match. Chris starts to get a sharpshooter on Alice, but the lights go out. Everything goes black and white, and a coffin is on the stage. Destro the Destroyer opens the office, and we see PCO, who Destro hits with an electric prod. PCO is on his way to the ring for the save. Chris tries to attack PCO with a chair, and PCO punches the chair into Chris’s face. Taylor pulls Chris out of the ring to safety.
We get the second part of the personality profile of Mo Jabari. These are great videos to make us care about him and his journey. Professional Wrestling Companies need to do more of these.
He discusses how he got into wrestling training with comments from Bret Hart.
Michael Allen Richard Clark vs. Luigi Primo.
Zach Gowen joins commentary. Primo’s gimmick is a pizza chef who brings pizza dough to the ring.
Clark gets an armbar, and Primo reverses. Clark picks the leg, and Primo kicks him off and grabs Clark’s arm and goes up the ropes for an arm drag. Primo tosses the dough at Clark, who tosses it out of the ring. Primo gets a drop kick and goes to the floor to get the dough.
Clark gets a drop kick to the floor and then drops Primo on the floor. Clark rolls Primo in the ring and tosses the dough away again. Clark gets a series of right hands and then gets a short-arm clothesline. Clark grabs the dough as he teases Primo with it. Clark gets an elbow drop, and then plays with the dough before stomping on it. Primo picks up the dough and attacks Clark with it. He lays it on Clark's back for a flipping neckbreaker for two.
Primo gets a big boot in the corner, tosses the dough at Clark, who dodges, and then leaps at Clark, who catches and hits a driver for the pin and the win.
Winner: Michael Allen Richard Clark.
We get a video package for Bhupinder Gujjar about the problems he has had in the ring recently.
The First Faction (Sheldon Jean & Brent Banks) w/Bryce Hansen, MLP Tag Team Champions, vs. Subculture (Flash Morgan Webster & Mark Andrews) w/Dani Luna
Banks and Andrews start the match with arm bars. They move to waistlocks and Webster tags in. He gets a basement drop kick on Banks; Jean is tagged in. They run the ropes, and Jean gets a shoulder tackle. Jean blocks a hip toss and gets a knee to the midsection on Banks. Webster tags in and they double team Jean. Webster gets a standing moonsault for two. Andrews tags in, and Jean backs him into his corner.
Jean and Andrews fight through the ropes, and Banks grabs Andrews’ arm to pull him into the turnbuckle from the outside. Jean kicks Andrew to the floor as we go to a commercial.
When we return, Andrews has been the babyface in peril. Andrews dodges a charge from Dean, and Webster tags in and runs wild. Webster gets a double underhook front slam for two on Banks. Webster and Banks go back and forth, and Banks is tagged in. Webster and Andrews hit a two-man Falcon Arrow on Jean for two, broken up by Banks.
Jean and Webster are sent to the floor, and Andrews gets to the top and leaps over Banks. They are in separate corners, and Jean holds on to Andrews’ foot so he can’t charge. Banks charges into Andrews, and Jean holds Andrews’s foot. Jean gets a side kick and then a power slam. Banks gets a frog splash from the top for two, and Jean falls into the pile and breaks the count.
Jean and Banks start hitting Subculture with dismissive slaps. This leads to all four men throwing hands, and 1st Faction is knocked from the ring, and Subculture dives onto them. Banks is rolled into the ring, and Andrews gets a Stun 21, and Andrews gets Shadows Over Malice and covers, but Hanen puts Banks’ foot on the ropes. Dani Lyba attacks Hansen, and then Gisela Shaw attacks Luna on the floor, and they fight to the back.
Jean slams Andrews’ face into the apron. In the ring, Banks gets a rollup on Williams for two. Williams lays in chops, but Jean gets into the ring and clotheslines him. Jean and Banks hit a neckbreaker power bomb double team for the pin and the win.
Winners and still MLP Tag Team Champions: 1st Faction.
