Where was Jesse Ventura at Summerslam given he's local?
I believe Ventura lives in Mexico full-time now.
It just occurred to me that given that SummerSlam is in Minneapolis, was there any outreach to, or indeed acknowledgement of, the “Trainer of Champions” Eddie Sharkey? I appreciate that he’s well up in years (90?) and may not have been able to attend, but surely there should have been at least some recognition of his contributions to the business while they’re there?
I did not hear of Eddie Sharkey being there.
Which Vince makes it into the hall of fame first? McMahon or Russo?
If either of them are ever inducted, it'll be McMahon, in my opinion.
Does WWE have a standing rule to not allow talent to appear as talking heads on Dark Side of the Ring? AEW, TNA, and other promotions' personalities regularly appear on the show, but I don't think I've ever seen a WWE talent appear on the show while they were contracted.
You answered your own question. WWE has zero relationship with the series.
What was the dumbest thing you ever saw a fan do at a show?
It's probably a tie for anyone who's ever tried to hop the rail. I once saw a fan hit the ring on Jerry Lawler because he was mad Lawler insulted his girlfriend on the mic. He entered the ring and challenged Lawler, who proceeded to laugh at him. The fan even tried to push past security before being pulled out. Another time, I saw a fan get so mad at The Dudleys in he dropped out of a balcony to get to the ring, never once considering he now had to try to get past Atlas Security and then, if he somehow got past those badasses, he now had to contend with an entire squadon of Dudleys...alone. Like I said, incidents like that tie for dumbest.
What do you think of fans being upset LeBron James didn't appear at TNA in Philly?
Well, given TNA didn't say he was going to be there, it's pretty silly. They "Invited" him but never advertised he would be there.
Is it me or is TNA suddenly pushing a lot of younger (cheaper) talents during a time period where they are making so much more money on AMC?
First, you are right and I believe they are absolutely signing younger (cheaper) talents to what I have heard are nightly deals. I have no way to prove anything, but I've yet to see anything that leads me to believe TNA is making a ,massive windfall on AMC. I hope they are, but thus far, this isn't the SpikeTV relationship of years ago where the Network is involved in PR, promotion, etc. I have zero insight into this but if you told me one day we'd learn they are on an agreement where they had a barter deal or an ad-split or something, I don't think I'd be shocked to find out that was the case - and not that the company is getting some great rights fee guaranteed for the content. But, unless one of the companies disclose what the deal is, there's no way to know anything officially.
