The City of Palo Alto, Califonia issued a proclamation honoring WWE Royce Keys, naming 7/23 as Royce Keys Day in that city, which is where Keys grew up. East Palo Alto Mayor Webster Lincoln commented, "William “Royce Keys” Hobson grew up in the Gardens, chased a dream all the way to the world’s biggest wrestling stages, and came right back home to spend the afternoon with our kids. Greatness comes from every neighborhood. Thank you for showing them what’s possible."
