Spotlight Match: Erik Chacha defeats Georgio Lawrence
Tonight, Bear Bronson was supposed to give BRG an epic beating. But Bear is hurt. So he has to be replaced. And if BRG beats the replacement? Oxx Adams gets to pick the stipulation for the title match at Summer Stunner. But the replacement? ALEC PRICE.
Match 1: BRG vs. Alec Price
Brett dismisses this with a “Is Bear scared to fight me?” He seems to have forgotten how Alec Price was the Northeast Beast around Open while BRG was playing Cowboy. Alec gives him a huge problem to start and the crowd is all about this. Brett manages to toss Price and drives after. He hits the sweet victory ripcord… Alec kicks out! Brett tries some gimmick infringement and Price ain’t having that. Brainbusssstah! Enzuigiri! One more time 'cause he’s trash! BRG tries to roll him up with some tights. Nah. Price with a slingshot lands solid on knees. Brett with a spear (more like an arrow). Kick out! He goes for the Unprettier… Price tosses him and hits a dive! He’s feeling froggy! Frog splash hits and Price hits the frog splash for three!!!
This is technically Price’s Open RI debut and he gets the mic and thanks everyone for being here for his introduction to Cranston.
Match 2: Devin Reno vs. Handyman Jake Gray
Reno is twice Jake’s size, but that don’t scare the handyman. He fights bigger and scarier all the time. We take alllllllllll the bullying we’ve done in Worcester out for Reno tonight. It doesn’t matter. Reno murders a brave Jake in under four minutes. Reno calls out Bobby Casale. He says there’s no amount of time Casale can have that would result in him beating Reno. So next week at Summer Stunner? NO TIME LIMIT.
Match 3: Anthony Vecchio vs. Rain Conway
Conway says the forecast is rain all night and rain all day. He might be digging a hole with “Lonely Tony” he won’t be able to get out of. Vecchio runs through Conway. Rain gets a chop in. Useless. Vecchio cuts him down. High crossbody for two! Rain fights out of a butterfly hold and hits a backbreaker. Rain's got moves (that get a two count)! The perfect plex isn’t quite perfect. Cranston has an especially cruel chant for Conway — “Raffle Tickets” — referring to his typical show assignment when he’s not wrestling. Vecchio makes the comeback and the butterfly corkscrew slam gets the win!
Vecchio on the mic. The Shooter Boys still have unfinished business with the Stetson Ranch. But next week, it’s the Ranch vs. Ichi Cinco for the Open tag titles… so he’ll be watching… and he WON'T be alone!
DJ Powers and Nick Battee are out here on the mic, but I can’t hear them 'cause they are getting the loudest boos this side of 2023 Ray Jaz.
Match 4: Nick Battee (w/ DJ Powers) vs. Jermaine Marbury
Jermaine has no Benny the Basketball tonight. Can’t risk another ambush. Battee tries to ambush him during his entrance, but he’s ready for it! Powers is an immediate distraction and Nick takes over. Marbury trying to fight back, but Nick is just swarming him. They even steal his jersey. Jermaine throws a punch to the gut and starts to fight back harder. Kobe!!!! Marbury trips up Battee in the corner and snatches him in a jackknife pin for the three! DJ & Nick are FURIOUS!
Match 5: Kylie Alexa & Sloan Jacobs vs. Liviyah & Ruthie Jay
Our inaugural Wrestling Open Women’s champion is here 7 days later to square off with one of her MANY longtime rivals. It’s been a minute since Sloan has been around and she’s definitely no longer an angel. Ruthie shows off some good skills, but she ends up taking the heat so Liv can come in super strong. She F5s Jacobs, but Kylie breaks up the pin! Jay with a Michinoku driver on Kylie and Liviyah hits a DDT on Sloan for the win!
Liviyah has words for Kylie. Next week, Liv wants a street fight with Kylie. She’s planning to leave with the Open Women’s championship.
Main Event: Dustin Waller vs. Flyin’ Ryan O’Neill
O’Neill took down Rex Lawless last week to get this match. Will he put Big Match Dusty down? Dustin has his Opportunity Knocks contract, but it’s more like a teddy bear to him. Or the One Ring. In the ring, Ryan shows Waller that he might just be faster and flippier. Waller uses a near-collision with Ref Scott to turn the tide and grind the pace to a halt. In many ways, this is like 2022 Dustin vs. 2026 Dustin. Dusty goes for the Lethal Injection, but has to settle for a falcon arrow. He’s playing to the crowd’s jeers too much and Ryan capitalizes! Waller tries to roll to the safety of the apron… O’Neill follows him out there and gets into a battle of chest attrition. Ryan DDTs Waller into the apron! Fisherman’s suplex! Waller kicks out! Lethal Injection connects! Kick out! Flash Splash connects! Kick out! O’Neill back up! Dustin with a slap! Ryan hits a Destroyer! Dive to the floor when Dustin tries to escape! Swanton bomb! Kick out! Waller rolls away and hits a Claymore! 1916! Waller pulls the pin. He blames Sammy Diaz for all this damage he’s doing to O’Neill… and then Ryan backslides him and gets the three!
Not to be upstaged, Waller attacks immediately and posts O’Neill repeatedly. He hits a tombstone on the apron and Ryan is wrecked on the floor as Waller walks away.
