This week’s episode of Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling Mayhem is from St Clair College in Windsor Ontario. Our commentary team is Don Callis and Mauro Ranallo.
The show starts with a video of Psycho Mike coming to the building.
The Lethal Twist (Jay Lethal, Lee Johnson, and Blake Christian) vs Billy Gunn, Zach Gowen, and Psycho Mike
Michael Allen Richard Clark is on commentary.
Lethal and Mike start the match, and Lethal freaks out when he turns around, and Mike IS RIGHT THERE STARING AT HIM. Lee is tagged in,n and they circle the ring. They lock up and move to running the ropes, and Mike gets a shoulder tackle. Mike grimaces at the camera and asks who wants to see a body slam (which is his signature move) as we go to commercial.
When we return, Gowen is in the ring with Lethal and gets chops. He fights off the rest of the Twist, and Lee is able to pull Gowen off the turnbuckles and Lethal's covers for two. Lee is tagged in and drops a knee on Gowan, and then lays in kicks and elbow strikes. Lee mocks Gowan and takes in Blake. Blake continues with the ground and pound and follows with a rear chinlock. Gowan gets a jawbreaker and goes to the wrong corner for a tag.
Lethal tags in and continues with the ground and point. Lethal slaps Gunn, and while the ref is distracted, Lethal Twist continues to work over Gowan. They move back to working over Gowan with quick tags. Gowan is able to kick Blake out of the ring, and Gunn gets the hot tag. Gunn cleans house. Blake avoids a Famouser and gets a super kick. Gunn gets a Famouser for two, and it’s broken up by Lethal Twist, which sounds the tag team alarm and everyone is brawling in the ring.
Gowan gets tagged in and misses a moonsault on Blake. Blake gets a springboard 450 food two. Mike is tagged in, and it’s time for body slams. After Blake is body slammed, Lethal gets the surprise roll up for the pin and the win.
Winners: The Lethal Twist
We get a personality profile for Mo Jabari, who grew up in a refugee camp. There is also an interview with Bret Hart about Mo.
Subculture (Flash Morgan Webster & Mark Andrews) w/Dani Luna vs Fight or Flight (Gabriel Fuerza & Vaughn Vertigo)
Webster and Fuerza start the match; Webster gets a quick takedown, and they are both up quickly. They trade arm bars, and Andrews gets a blind tag, and they hit a quick series of double team moves and cover for a two count. Vertigo tags in after Webster gets a boot up in the corner to nail Vertigo. They double-team Vertigo again, and Webster covers for two. Webster is kicked in the back by Fuerza when he tries to run the ropes, and Vertigo is able to get a torture rack. Vertigo gets a half and half suplex, and Fuerza gets a blind tag for a cutter for two.
Fuerza gets a backdrop driver for two. Webster is the babyface in peril, and Fuerza and Vertigo work him over with quick tags. Andrews is able to tag in and cleans house. Fuerza picks up Andrews, and Webster gets into the ring to catch him. They both headbutt Fuerza, and Subculture dives onto Flight or Flight.
Fuerza returns to the ring, and Andrews gets Stun 41 (a flipping stunner), and Webster gets Shadows over Malice (a version of a swanton dive) for the pin and the win.
Winners: Subculture.
Next is a video package for PCO.
Taylor Rising w/Chris Chambers vs Alexia Nicole
Gisele Shaw joins commentary.
They lock up, and Taylor takes down Nicole. They run the ropes, and they go back and forth before fighting in the corner, where Taylor slams Nicole’s head into the turnbuckle. Mocp; le gets a big boot, and Taylor gets a leaping back elbow in two corners before getting a snap mare. Nicole gets a rollup for two and then a lung blower. Taylor trips Nicole and then gets a tiger feint kick, followed by a pedigree for the pin and the win.
Winner: Taylor Rising.
Backstage, we see Shaw and Dani Luna have words.
Rohan Raja (PWA Champion's Grail Holder) w/Aurora Teves vs Evil Uno
They start shoving each other before the match. Uno gets a running takedown and then chops Raja in the corners. Uno misses in the third corner,r and Raja reverses for a chop of his own. Inop reverses again and gets a back body drop. Uno gets a charge into the corner and misses a leap from the top. Raja takes out Uno’s leg and then works it over. Uno is able to recover and clotheslines Raja over the top.
Uno starts for a dive, but Raja pulls Teves into the way. Uno goes to the floor, and Raja drives Uno into the ring steps as we go to commercial.
When we return, Uno gets a running clothesline. Uno hits a series of jabs, but when he goes for an elbow, Raja pulls the ref in the way. Raja tries a kick, and Uno does his bit where he catches the leg, gives it to the ref, and gets a neckbreaker. Uno covers for two. Raja escapes out the back when Uno picks him up and gets a chop block. Raja gets a forearm strike and a back stabber for two.
Raja grabs Uno’s leg, but Uno fights free. They trade blows back and forth. Uno powers up by hitting his head on the top turnbuckle and gets a series of unanswered blows, but Raja gets a Superman forearm. Raja takes off his elbow pad,d but Uno starts battering Raja, gets a frog face lock followed by a vertical shoulder breaker. Raja rolls to the floor.
Raja grabs his belt as the ref is checking on Uno’s leg. Uno goes to the floor, and Teves distracts the ref. The ref sees the belt and takes it from Raja. Uno gets a DDT for two. Uno gets a pile driver for two. Uno runs into a big punch, and Raja gets a swinging side slam for two. Raja gets a Liger bomb for two. Raja gets a single leg crab. Uno gets to the ropes for the break.
As Raja distracts the ref, Teves nails Uno with the belt. Raja grabs a Hunger Lock (a rear-naked choke), and Uno passes out.
Winner and still PWA Champion's Grail Holder: Rohan Raja
Raja attacks Uno after the match. Stu Grayson comes from the back to rescue Uno and drives Raja off. Stu says Raja is doing this to be the next Champion, and he will gladly give Raja an opportunity, but the next time they meet, the title is on the line, but so is Raja's Grail. The winner takes all.
We then get a video package from Adam Copeland, who asks if MLP is ready for one more unforgettable night.
