ROYCE ISAACS ANNOUNCES INJURY

By Mike Johnson on 2026-07-21 19:46:00

Royce Isaacs, who has wrestled for Ring of Honor, the NWA and UWN, among other promotions, announced:

"After meeting with a specialist, unfortunately I have to announce I will be out for the next 3 months recovering. MRI came back with a L5 disc desiccation thats also impeding S1.
Long story short I need an epidural shot and then extensive rehab and PT, at minimum. All things considered Im doing okay mentally, and it makes perfect sense given all of the back issues I've had over the past couple years. The last 4 months of sciatic pain were all related to my lumbar spine and the years of accumulated trauma. The plan is to take this time, build my spine back stronger than ever, and hit the ground running in November.  Im glad that my body warned me now before I really permanently messed myself up, and I'm grateful I was able to push and get through my ROH match with Kaun as my last match for now. Not a bad place to press the "pause" button so to speak. (Once again to be clear this is a chronic thing thats been getting worse, I did not get injured at ROH, and the current issue escalated while doing aggressive PT the week after returning)

Definitely not trying to turn this announcement into a pity party, but I do make my money wrestling and at the moment I'm bedridden most of the day. If youre a fan and want to buy merch to support please hit my DM, and if youre a wrestler thats interested in match critique I do that on my Cameo, link in bio.  Ive had an extremely blessed career these past 12 years, and while these next 3 months will be a challenge for sure, I am looking forward to coming back stronger than ever and ending the year with a bang to make up for lost time.

Your support means more than you know,

thank you,

Royce"
