UNDERSTANDING HOW TO USE DANHAUSEN, SELLING IS A LOST ART FOR TOO MANY, WHAT SOME PEOPLE WILL DO FOR MONEY AND MORE

A friend was telling me that AEW dropped the ball on Danhausen. Why did AEW not see the potential in him as WWE has used Danhausen greatly.

I think it comes down to what Tony Khan’s vision of pro wrestling is.  It’s more work rate, big spot and “five star match” oriented.  Danhausen is a unique comedy character that needed someone to understand how to use him and WWE gets that sort of pro wrestling.

I love the Q&A section and I have read it every day for years and years. I’ve even sent in a few questions over the years and had them answered,  which is cool. I figured I’d send in some feedback on the q&a lately because maybe others feel the same way. I’m not trying to tell you how to run the site or Q&A section of course, but I’ve started to completely skip over the Q&A’s that are  just recaps of Raw and Smackdown a reader is turning into questions.  I assume it’s the same person each time. I just don’t find them interesting. There’s recaps and commentary of each show already on the site.  Not trying to be negative to you, the site, or the question writer, just my honest opinion for whatever it’s worth.

He is asking my opinion on the shows, which I love to give.  Other people have told me that they love hearing my thoughts on the shows so it all depends.

I realize part of  your response might be “well, send in your own questions”, so here it goes:

Watching the Jeff Jarrett dark side of the ring made me wonder about the Jeff Hardy vs Sting match that was covered in it. I know there’s a lot they could have done differently to keep Jeff from even going out there, but assuming what’s done is done, why didn’t they send out another wrestler to have a match with Sting after he pinned Jeff to at least give the in person crowd and pay per view audience a full match?  Has anyone ever commented on why they didn’t do this? It seems like the minimum they could have done to help the situation.

That’s a good question, which I don’t have the answer to.

So, Jake Hager, Haley J, Marty the Moth Martinez, Zicky Dice, Mahabali Shera... there is any reason why so many wrestlers participate in Slapfight?

I would guess it’s for the money.  I can’t see any other reason that a sane person would do that.

Maybe this is more a complaint than a question, I’ve been watching a lot of WWWF from the late 70’s lately and wrestling was a lot easier to believe back then…If somebody got kicked in the head they stayed down, piledrivers ended matches, nobody is diving onto people loitering on the floor...Know what I mean?  What happened?  How did it evolve into wrestlers taking seven superkicks and two Canadian destroyers and then just standing there?  All these kids need to get off my lawn! I have a couple thought on the 7/15 dynamite

There are definitely a lot of wrestlers that need to learn the art of selling, no doubt.

Someone needs to be the adult in the room and stop Darby from taking stupid bumps that will one day paralyze or kill him. The press slam throw head first into post was stupid and dangerous.

Darby is beyond saving at this point.  He seems to have a death wish.

Omega needs to turn on osprey so we have a clear heel in this match. Osprey going to be super over in England so have Omega be the heel.

There are too many matches nowadays that don’t have defined baby face/heel set ups but in this case?  I don’t do that.  Let them have the classic that the fans in the UK want to see.
