The following press release was issued:
16-time wrestling world champion Ric Flair’s Flair Spirits is jumping into the NASCAR scene this summer by sponsoring Josh Bilicki and Garage 66 in the Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 19.
Crafted as a toast to celebration, confidence, and living life to the fullest, Flair Spirits produces award-winning vodka, bourbon, and gin. The spirits are available now at retailers across Tennessee, expanding throughout Florida, and online for direct shipping in 41 states.
“Our partnership with Garage 66 and the No. 66 team gives Flair Spirits an incredible opportunity to connect with one of the most passionate fanbases in all of sports,” said Ric Flair, a global force in professional wrestling for five full decades.
“NASCAR continues to provide a powerful platform for us to introduce our brand to new audiences across the country, and there’s no bigger stage than the Bristol Night Race. We’re excited to be part of one of the sport’s most iconic events and continue growing Flair Spirits alongside Josh Bilicki and Garage 66. The energy, excitement, and loyalty of NASCAR fans are a perfect match for our brand. Bristol under the lights! Wooooo! It doesn’t get any better than that.”
Driving the Flair Spirits No. 66, Josh Bilicki is set to make his 15th NASCAR national series start at Bristol and sixth in the NASCAR Cup Series at this track. The Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin native will have more than 270 starts behind the wheel
of a NASCAR stock car at the drop of the green flag.
“The Bristol Night Race is one of my favorite races in NASCAR, so partnering with an iconic brand like Flair Spirits is a perfect fit,” said Bilicki. “Ric Flair is a legend whose influence spans generations, and it’s an honor to represent a brand that reflects that legacy on our No. 66 Ford Mustang.”
Garage 66 co-owner Carl Long is eager to have the brand of one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all-time join his team to experience the Bristol Night Race.
“I grew up watching Flair on Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling,” said Long. “Their show traveled to my hometown of Roxboro, N.C. and put on an outdoors event at the Optimist baseball park in the 1970s. I have watched Flair go from local hero to national icon.”
“His Flair Vodka has won many taste awards, beating the premium brands. Now we have to level up Garage 66 to beat the premium teams!”
NASCAR Cup Series practice and qualifying at Bristol Motor Speedway will take place Friday afternoon, September 18, beginning at 4:30 pm ET. The 500-lap Bass Pro Shops Night Race is scheduled for Saturday, September 19 at 7:30 pm ET and will be televised live on USA Network.
