From the days of COVID up to this year's King of the Ring finals, WWE seems to consistently consider Jey Uso a top star. With that said, do you ever see the company doing anything with Jimmy? I don't believe they've given him a fair chance at singles focus even though the revived Bloodline storyline could be a great opportunity. I know he had injuries years ago when Jey became "Main Event", but they don't seem to be elevating Jimmy.
Jimmy has also had some out of the ring problems as well. That can make the company leery of a bigger push. With that said, he has been getting a bigger role lately but it’s understandable why he hasn’t gotten the singles run that Jey has.
Sheamus leaving WWE. Do you see him going to AEW, or maybe he hangs it up?
I hope that he goes to AEW and gets a nice run. The guy is a pro’s pro and has a lot to offer. I hope Tony Khan brings him in. I think if he wanted to retire he wouldn’t have left WWE, he would have just hung it up there.
I pay no attention to what other online wrestling fans say, because everybody always jumps to the most negative conclusion, for some unknown reason. However, I've been unable to escape the "hot take" that some are saying about "CM Hogan" this week. To me, that comparison is moronic, because unlike Hogan, Punk has no booking power (that we know of), HHH is the booker. It gives Sami a lot more fuel for his heel turn, as the best heels have legitimate reasons to be angry, they just take it out on the wrong people. It gave a great moment in Chicago, and it sets up a lot of programs for the future (Cody/Gunther, Cody/Punk, Sami/Punk, etc). On top of that, Punk is clearly no Hogan, because he has a long reputation of wanting to make sure the product is as good as it can be, wanting to work with the young talent in NXT, and generally wanting to leave the business better than he found it. I just don't know why online fans don't think for a second before posting. Your thoughts?
I have stopped reading social media because of imbeciles like the people that you mentioned. Any moron with something to say says it now, and I have no desire to hear what they have to say. You are, of course, correct. Punk didn’t book himself to win the Title. He also didn’t book himself to be off since WrestleMania. That is HHH’s call. And, what the morons don’t tend to understand is business. WWE is trying to sell out two nights at football stadium. Punk will sell more tickets than Sami. It’s just the facts but morons don’t let it get in the way of their insipid hot takes.
I like Kenny Omega. He seems like a nice young man and I understand he's doing what he loves but to me it seems dangerous and irresponsible to continue wrestling with his medical history...Same thing with that dinosaur guy and anyone that's broken their neck out back or even Samoa Joe with his concussion history...I know you can't answer this but do they but care about their long term health? Getting older is difficult as it is, I can't imagine dealing with extra aches and pains from a reckless lifestyle.
Wrestlers are a breed unlike no other. I am with you, if it were me I would have called it a career if I were Kenny. But, I would have never had that career to begin with because I don’t have the mindset to take bumps and get hurt for a living. Pro Wrestlers have that and it is part of their DNA, for better or worse. With that said, I think it was great that he got another Title win. He has worked his ass off to get back to this point and I am happy for him.
