I saw Vince Russo said Sami Zayn winning the WWE was an "absolute joke" and the same as David Arquette winning the WCW title. So, is he admitting that was a joke too?
That's one way of looking at it. I look at it this way - when someone is desperate for attention, they say dumb things and act stupid for that attention. You can decide for yourself which it is, especially if said behavior is an attempt to get engagement to make money. I don't see Zayn's win as anything more than sort of an acknowledgement of what he's done over the course of his career, similar to when Mick Foley won the WWF title.
Regarding the Netflix/bleeding edits, did you ever report that WWE made the decision to do that, because Twitter seems to think so?
Well, if it's on Twitter....I never reported WWE made the decision to do the edit, just that they did the work. It could have been Netflix requested it. Why they did, I don't know but given the edits were not made on the ESPN Unlimited version of the show that streams in the United States, it's not hard to figure out it was a Netflix issue. My guess is some without reading comprehension took what I wrote out of context for themselves.
Last week, you wrote Road Dogg's deal with TNA was 99% done and this week you wrote the process wasn't far enough along for him to be in Albany, so which is it?
It's both. We are told there's a hiring process Anthem goes through and he's in the middle of that. The deal isn't done until it's done. He's not going to go to work before he's signed and sealed as an employee. Not sure why that's hard to understand.
Why should we, as viewers, care about announced stipulations on WWE anymore? Oba wins a tournament and then doesn't want the Summerslam title match? WHAT?
I think you are answering your own question and have made up your mind. I don't blame you for feeling let down, but in this instance, I think the idea here is that Oba wants to take down Brock Lesnar so bad, he's willing to forgo the title shot to get it done. I'd be shocked if he isn't challenging for the title by Wrestlemania.
