We look back at Night of Champions.
The 2026 King of the Ring, Oba Femi, makes his way to the ring.
Oba says that is good and fine. That is a reaction, a reception befitting a ruler. Now you have to give him a reception befitting of a King. Oba likes the ovation. He says he told Jey Uso that destiny was on his side. Jey did not believe until he stepped in the ring. Now he is a believer. Destiny is still kind to him. Oba says a choice has to be made.
Brock Lesnar's music plays and he makes his way to the ring and he is joined by Paul Heyman. Brock does the Brock Bounce.
Brock applauds Oba, likely for winning King of the Ring.
Brock takes the mic from Paul and Brock announces Oba as King of the Ring. He offers his hand to Oba and Oba refuses. Brock says he hasn't watched the show and everyone knows he doesn't watch the show. That is a hell of a feat. Brock says he was King of the Ring before. He says he relies on Paul for information about the show. He was told that Oba has a big decision. He also said that you like to call him names. You called him a coward. You called him a bitch. He says you cut a great promo, but Brock says he has Paul to cut his promos.
Brock says talk s***, get hit.
Brock kicks Oba in the ding ding and he gets Oba up for an F5.
Oba gets up and he says that is what Brock does. He hits an F5 and then leaves. You were told he said stuff to you behind your back. You are a bitch. We can do the run around or we can settle it at SummerSlam.
Brock takes the mic and he accepts. Brock says he has one condition. He wants it in Hell in a Cell.
Paul is with Pearce and Pearce wants to know what is going on.
Paul says the match of all time is set for SummerSlam.
Austin Theory shows up and he is surprised Paul is here. He asks Paul to come out with him for his match.
Paul tells Austin that now he knows that Paul is here.
Pearce stops Oba in the back and he wants to make sure he heard Oba right.
Oba says the title will be there. He will take it when he wants it.
Pearce asks if Hell in a Cell is what Oba wants.
Oba says it needs to happen. He will put an end to it and it needs to end.
Match Number One: Ethan Page versus Rey Mysterio
Rey with a side head lock and Page with a shoulder tackle and punch. Rey goes through the legs but Page with a kick. Rey with a head scissors take down. Rey with a shoulder in the corner and then Page with Snake Eyes. Page with shoulders in the corner. Page runs into a drop kick from Rwy and Page goes into the ropes. Page sends Rey to the apron when Rey tries for a 619. Rey with a kick. Page crotches Rey when Rey goes for a moonsault. Page with kicks. Page goes tot he turnbuckles and he gestures he is going after the mask but Rey with elbows. Page punches Rey and Page with a side slam on the top turnbuckle. Page runs Rey into the apron a few times. Page gets a near fall and then he applies a waist lock. Rey with elbows to escape but Page with a tilt-a-whirl back breaker for a near fall.
Page with forearms to the lower back. Page with shoulders to the lower back in the corner. Page with a hard Irish whip. Rey with elbows but Page with a splash and he sends Rey into the turnbuckles. Page with a running side slam for a near fall. Rey with a kick and Rey goes for a sunset flip but Page stays on his feet and he punches the mat when Rey moves. Rey sends Page to the floor and Rey with a sliding splash to the floor. Rey goes up top and hits a seated splash and a springboard cross body for a near fall. Rey with a shoulder in the corner and punches from the turnbuckles. Page with an Irish whip and Rey with a back elbow but Page counters a wheelbarrow into a sit out gourd buster for a near fall. Page gets Rey on his shoulder sbut Rey escapes and hits an enzuigiri. Page is sent into the ropes.
Rey sets for the 619 but Page with a boot to the head. Page with a power slam for a near fall. Page gets Rey on his shoulders and he climbs the turnbuckles but Rey with elbows to escape and Rey with a rana off the turnbuckles. Rey with a drop toe hold into the ropes for a 619 and he connects. Rey goes up top for a frog splash and he hits it for the three count.
Winner: Rey Mysterio
We go to Danhausen's lab and Dom and JD want their money. JD says he needs to get uncursed before his match.
Dom takes something of Danhausen's to send him a message.
Joe Hendry makes his way to the ring to perform for the Street Profits celebration.
Joe says he has appeared. He asks who is ready for a Joe Hendry concert. We cannot get started until we introduce his special guests. He brings out The Street Profits.
Ford thanks everyone for the love over the last week. Ford says that is why they have a few people to thank. He thanks the WWE Universe. Ford thanks them for believing in them. Next, he wants to thank Seth Rollins. Angelo says all the karma got to THe Vision. Ford thanks Joe Hendry. He says it was like a beautiful song last week.
Joe plays his song.
Austin Theory's music interrupts Joe's performance.
Theory says the thieves who stole his tag titles last week are in the ring. Theory says Joe brought up John Cena, the man he beat at Wrestlemania. You are excited celebrating, but Theory says next week there will be a rematch for those titles.
Angelo says you can have that, but will Bron be healthy by then?
Theory says Bron will be off the leash. Theory says he appreciates Joe's last song being about him, but he will destroy Joe in the ring.
Joe says no to what Austin said. They could wait until later for the match, or they can do it right now.
Match Number Two: Joe Hendry versus Austin Theory
Theory attacks Joe before the bell rings. Joe with a sunset flip but Theory rolls through and Joe with a neck breaker. Joe with chops and he sends Theory into the turnbuckles. Joe with another chop and punches from the turnbuckles. Joe with a delayed vertical suplex for a near fall. Joe misses a discus clothesline and Theory with a slingshot rolling clothesline. Theory punches Joe. Joe with a European uppercut but Theory with a back elbow. Joe with European uppercuts and Theory with an Irish whip and back breaker. Theory with punches to the head. Theory gets a near fall. Theory with a reverse chin lock. Joe with a jaw breaker to escape. Theory stops short in the corner and Joe with a DDT. Joe with punches and a back elbow. Joe with a clothesline into the corner. Joe catches Theory on a cross body and he hits a fallaway slam followed by the MEME turn.
Joe with a discus clothesline for a near fall. Theory escapes from Joe and Joe is sent into the turnbuckles. Theory with a punch for a near fall. Theory with a shoulder breaker and he gets a near fall. Theory with a punch and Joe with a European uppercut. They exchange punches and European uppercuts. Theory with an elbow and Joe wiht a Side Effect for the three count.
Winner: Joe Hendry
Raquel is with Pearce and she wants to know why she hasn't gotten a shot at the IC title.
Pearce says Maxxine Dupri has asked for a title match.
Raquel asks why does Maxxine deserve a title match.
Pearce reminds everyone that she was IC champion.
Raquel says she will go through Maxxine for her title match.
Pearce makes the match for tonight.
Liv and Roxanne show up and Liv asks if she got the title match.
Liv says they have to deal with Iyo coming after her title and Danhausen.
Raquel says the boys will take care of Danhausen and she will deal with Iyo.
Cathy Kelley is with Ethan Page.
Cathy asks about losing to Rey.
Page says if you asked anyone else that question, they would say they are upset. Ethan says it is a minor setback. He mentions that Rey is a Hall of Famer. You have to crack a few eggs to make an omelet. You have to step on up and comers to keep their spot. Page reminds Cathy about his win last week over Dragon Lee. Rey asks for a match the next week and Ethan has no chance to prepare and be his best. Tonight was not his best and Page says he will keep his promise Page says he will be draped in gold.
The 2026 Queen of the Ring, Iyo Sky, makes her way to the ring.
Iyo says she is super duper grateful to come back to the US as Queen of the Ring, (and she actually puts it on). Iyo says she beat Liv on Saturday and she will beat her again and she will become the Women's World Champion.
Liv Morgan's music interrupts and she comes to the stage.
Liv says wow. She says she thought Iyo was better than this. Are you proud of yourself? You act like you beat her fair and square. Liv says it makes her sick. Iyo only won because she was cursed. Things will be different at SummerSlam. Now, she doesn't respect Iyo. You pissed her off. She will take this opportunity to tell you what happens when you get on her bad side. Finn Balor . . . Stephanie Vaquer.. . . Rhea Ripley. She took everything from Rhea and she hasn't been the same since.
Liv promises that she is going to destroy Iyo and reamin the greatest Women's Champion of all time.
Liv says, but until then, you are in for a whole lot of trouble.
Raquel and Roxanne show up on the apron and they surround Iyo. Iyo knocks Perez off the apron and sends Raquel over the top rope to the floor. Liv enters the ring and Iyo with a forearm to Raquel to knock her off the apron. Iyo avoids obLIViion and hits a German suplex and it causes her ear power level to explode. Iyo with a kick to Liv and Raquel grabs Iyo on the turnbuckles and puts her in the tree of woe. Perez kicks Iyo in the knee. Perez and Raquel pull Iyo to the mat. Liv hits obLIViion. Liv with a single leg crab and because it is not a sanctioned match, Iyo taps immediately.
Officials and referees come to the ring to pull Liv off Iyo.
We take a look at why we are getting Jimmy Uso and LA Knight one more time.
Jey joins commentary.
Match Number Three: LA Knight versus Jimmy Uso
The bell rings and Knight goes to the floor and he tells Jey to stay in his seat or he will regret it.
They lock up and go around the ring. The referee separates them in the corner. Knight with a side head lock take down. Knight with a wrist lock and arm wringers. Jimmy with a head butt and arm drag into a double wrist lock. Knight with a back elbow. Knight with a kick to the back followed by a punch. Knight kicks Jimmy in the corner. Knight with a running hip itno the corner and he gets a near fall. Jimmy with a kick and he punches Knight and follows with a thrust kick and uppercut. Jimmy with a dragon whip. Jimmy with a running hip into the corner and Jimmy goes to the turnbuckles. Jimmy with a cross body for a near fall.
Jimmy clotheslines Knight over the top rope and he hits a suicide dive on Knight. Jimmy with a chop and Knight chops back. Knight with punches and Jimmy with a punch. They return to the ring and Jimmy sets for a suplex and Knight lands on his feet and hits a neck breaker because you don't suplex Zack Ryder. Knight sends Jimmy to the floor. Knight follows to the announce table and Jimmy with a chop. Jimmy sends Knight into the announce table a few times. Jimmy looks at the script and he breaks the count and Knight avoids being sent into the table. Knight sends Jimmy into the announce table. Knight sends Jimmy into the announce table one more time.
Knight gets a near fall. Knight goes to the turnbuckles and he comes off but Jimmy with a punch to the midsection. Jimmy with a chop. Jimmy with a chop and Knight chops back. Knight with jabs. Jimmy with a Samoan drop. Jimmy sets for a running hip into the corner but Knight moves and Jimmy hits the turnbuckles. Knight with more jabs but Jimmy with a punch. Knight with a flying clothesline and a side Russian leg sweep. Knight with an Irish whip and a leaping neck breaker. Knight goes to the turnbuckles and leaps over Jimmy. Jimmy with a super kick and a spear for a near fall. Jimmy goes up top and Knight with a punch to stop Jimmy. Knight goes for a superplex but Jimmy pushes him off. Knight goes up again and hits a superplex for a near fall. Knigth with a drop kick through the ropes to Jimmy.
Jey complains about what Knight is doing and he almost sends Jimmy into Jey and makes him flinch. Knight sends Jimmy back into the ring and Knight hits Jey. Knight with a reverse DDT to Jimmy when they get back into the ring. Knight goes to the turnbuckles for the double jump catchphrase elbow drop and he hits it. Knight sets for the BFT but Jey gets on the apron and Knight punches hm to the floor. Jimmy with a rollup for the three count.
Winner: Jimmy Uso
After the match, Knight punches Jimmy. Jey with a double leg take down and he punches Knight. Jey with more punches.
Solo Skoa shows up and he hits Jimmy with a Samoan Spike and leaves through the crowd before Jey can do anything.
Knight with a BFT to Jey.
Knight sees Solo in the crowd.
We take a look at the confrontation between Gunther and Nick Aldis after Night of Champions.
Cole says that Nick Aldis and Gunther have been sent home. Nick is on administrative leave so Adam Pearce runs both shows.
Jackie Redmond is with Rey Mysterio. in the Interstitial Interview Area.
Jackie asks about Ethan's comments.
Rey says one of the many challenges of being a Hall of Famer is being able to stay ready. Rey says Ethan will respect lucha libre.
Jackie asks about Rey being at SummerSlam.
Rey asks the fans if they want to see him at SummerSlam for a 12th time. He faced Penta before and he would do what it takes to get another shot at that title.
Jackie asks what would it take to beat Penta.
Rey says he loves and respects Penta. He says he knows what it takes to win if they get in the ring one more time. Rey says he cannot give away his strategy.
.Jimmy and Jey find Jacob Fatu and ask where was he.
Jacob says he only takes orders from Roman. Jacob says he got orders from Roman. He is going to Smackdown to finish Solo.
Jey says he is going to Smackdown too.
Lyra asks why is everyone on her back about what happened in London. It takes two to lose a tag match. She doesn't like that the anger got to her. It was one time, and people forget she has been the bigger person for over a year. Lyra says she has not lost any sleep over it. Lyra has sacrificed her success because she wanted Bayey with her. They know she can do it. She put her trust in someone who was supposed to be the best, but now there is a gap between who she is and who she could be. She never wanted to hurt Bayley, but it felt so good to close that gap.
Maxxine Dupri walks in the back and she walks past Chad Gable.
Maxxine says she meant everything she said last week.
Chad says Maxxine doesn't owe her an apology. She tells Maxxine to focus on what is in front of her and he wishes her luck.
Match Number Four: Maxxine Dupri versus Raquel Rodiriguez
Dupri with a punch and kick. Dupri with a head scissors to send Raquel to the floor. Dupri misses a baseball slide and Raquel with a clothesline. Raquel with a slingshot jackhammer for a near fall. Raquel sends Dupri into the turnbuckles . Raquel with elbows in the corner. Raquel gets Dupri up for a torture rack. Dupri with punches to get back to her feet. Dupri with a sunset flip attempt but Raquel pulls her up. Raquel misses a clothesline but doesn't miss the second time. Raquel gets a near fall. Dupri with a DDT and a boot to Raquel. Raquel runs into a back elbow in the corner. Dupri with clotheslines and Raquel stays on her feet. Dupri blocks a kick and Dupri with a spinning back heel kick. Dupri with a step up leg drop to the back for a near fall. Raquel blocks a suplex and Dupri escapes a suplex. Raquel with a Tejana Bomb for the three count.
Winner: Raquel Rodriguez
Danhausen returns to his lab and he looks for his stolen gift.
Liv enters and cackles. She says this is what Danhausen deserved.
Danhausen asks what did he do.
Liv reminds Danhausen and she tells him to make it right or they will make his life hell.
Match Number Five: Chad Gable versus JD McDonagh
They lock up and Chad with a waist lock and take down. JD rolls out of the hold and gets to the ropes. They lock up and Chad with a wrist lock. JD with a back drop into a reversal and arm bar. Chad with a drop toe hold into a La Magistral for a near fall. JD with a chop. Chad with a back body drop and a hip toss. Chad with chops. JD with a sunset flip for a near fall. Chad reverses and gets a near fall. They alternate near falls. Chad with a jackknife cover for a near fall. Chad rolls through into an ankle lock. Rey tries to pulls JD to the floor but he grabs the ring skirt instead. Chad goes after Dom and JD sends Chad into the ring steps.
JD with an atomic drop onto the ring step. JD with an elbow drop off the turnbuckles for a near fall. JD with elbow drops to the leg and he works on the leg. Chad with punches and JD with an Irish whip that sends Chad sternum first into the turnbuckles. Chad with chops and JD with a drop toe hold and leg drop to the back of the head. JD with a step over toe hold on Chad. Chad kicks JD and JD kicks Chad. JD with another step over toe hold and Chad with slaps. Chad sends JD to the floor and Chad with a German suplex when JD returns to the ring. Chad hols on for a second one. Chad holds on for the third River attempt but JD with elbows. Chad with elbows and Chad hits the third German suplex for a near fall. JD kicks Chad awy and Chad with a rolling kick into the corner. Chad with another rolling kick into the corner. JD with Spanish Fly for a near fall.
Chad gets a near fall. Chad with a punch and JD with a head butt. Chad falls onto JD for a near fall. Chad with punches and JD fires back. JD with a power bomb for a near fall. JD with a brainbuster for a near fall. Chad avoids Devil Inside and Chad goes for Chaos Theory and he suplexes JD into the turnbuckles. Chad goes for a moonsault and JD gets his foot up. Chad with an ankle lock. JD finally gets Chad to release the hold. Dom gets on the apron to distract Chad on the turnbuckles. JD with a punch and JD hits Spanish Fly for a near fall. Danhausen shows up in the crowd with a briefcase. Dom chases after Danhusen and JD wants to know where Dom went. JD counters Chaos Theory into a victory roll for a near fall. Chad with an ankle lock and JD tags out.
Winner: Chad Gable
After the match, Dom and JD go to the briefcase that Danhausen brought to ringside.
They open it and powder goes off. Danhausen takes back his Knicks jersey from Dom and he leaves.
Raquel Rodriguez hits Danhausen from behind and she takes the shirt.
Maxxine is in the back and AUstin Theory asks what was that.
She says she thought she was ready for Raquel.
Austin says he means what she said to Chad.
Maxxine says Chad is complication.
Austin says if you want to go down that road, maybe this isn't working out.
Tozawa and Otis show up and they ask Maxxine if she is okay and she says she doesn't know.
Roman Reigns' music plays and he makes his way to the ring.
Roman asks for Atlantic City to acknowledge him.
Before Roman can say anything else . . .
Seth Rollins' music interrupts.
They stand across from each other in the ring.
They continue to stare at ach other.
They stare some more.
Seth says hello my brother to Roman. Fourteen years, you and I have been tied together from this moment all the way back to the formation of the Shield. You call it fate or destiny but it feels very fitting that they are in this moment in Atlantic City. You are in possession of a title that belongs to him. Seth says it is time to collect.
Roman asks what does Seth mean by collect. He says Seth must be confused. You are the back of the line. You hadn't done anything of late to earn a shot at him.
Seth says Roman can play that game with everyone else, but you cannot play it with him. Seth says he is always at the front of the line. For everything that you have done, you owe him. For everything that you have become and are, Seth says he owns Roman. He says he owns Roman's ass in the ring. He owns him in the head and in the heart. Do you want proof? He pinned Roman at Wrestlemania 41 and took his wise man. The year before, he sacrificed himself so Cody could end your reign of terror. For four years, you were unstoppable and beat everyone, but one person. Seth mentions Wrestllemania 31 and he says there was nothing Roman could do about it. He has owned Roman since he put a chair in Roman's back.
Seth says he is not here to ask Roman for anything. He says he is here to give Roman something. Seth says everything you say you are and what these people believe they are, you are that great. You have won every title. You have main evented every show. Your Wrestlemania main event record will never be broken. There is one thing you have not been able to do . . . beat him.
Seth says he is here to give Roman that opportunity. Seth says this may Roman's last chance to close that loop. They came into this company together and they came through that crowd. They knocked down the door. They kicked the old generation to the curb. They made it their own. They created the greatest generation in the history of this business. They are much closer to the end than the beginning. Like it was at the beginning, there is a new generation ready to do the same thing to them. Seth says this may be their last chance to do this dance. What do you want your legacy to be? You will go down as one of the greatest, maybe number one. Seth says Roman should get his own induction show and he might induct him. If you don't accept this challenge, you will never escape the ghost of Seth Rollins.
Roman tells Seth it has been a long time since he heard any truth come out of your mouth, little brother. You are right. He doesn't want to beat Seth. He needs to beat Seth. He needs his entire family to witness him beating you. At SummerSlam, that is what he is going to do.. Roman accepts.
Roman does the obligatory hold up the title belt pose.
