WWE will present Great American Bash this Sunday on CW and Netflix from Orlando, Florida with a 7:00 PM Eastern start time for the show. Here is what we think will happen on Sunday.
NXT Women's Championship Match: Lola Vice vs Kendal Grey
Dave: I could definitely see them pulling the trigger here. Grey has a ton of momentum (and is really good).
Mike: This is a big moment for Kendal, who is evolving before our eyes into one of the best women in the world. Is this her time? I don't know that is as important as her getting to have a kickass main event performance as its her first time in that position on a PPV level show. They made the right call making this the main event as I don't think anyone else will follow it. I can see a title change here, absolutely.
Richard: I hope they make this the main event of the show because I think this is going to be the best match of the show (Tavion/Myles is my pick for the silver). I have enjoyed Kendal's work since the first time I saw her on Level Up. Lola has been a worthy champion and has been a good representative wherever she has appeared. I would love for this to be the coronation for Kendal and to do it in front of Kevin Owens (the other highlight of the night). Sunday is going to be Kendal's night.
NXT Men's Championship Match: Tony D'Angelo vs Naraku
Dave: Tony probably keeps the belt here. It seems too soon to put it on Naraku.
Mike: I don't see a title change here unless they literally pull out another fireball.
Richard: The theatrics from this week's show took me more out of any match for a show this weekend. The fireball and the 'who will replace Tony in the match . . . but HE WAS NEVER OUT OF THE MATCH'. I have enjoyed Naraku so far in NXT, but if he veers into HoT EVIL, all bets are off. I haven't connected with any of Tony's gimmicks, but I enjoy his in ring work. There are too many heels to challenge for the title so I see Tony retaining.
Women's North American Championship Match: Zaria vs Tatum Paxley
Dave: Zaria gets fed her next victim.
Mike: No reason to change the title. Keep building the monster.
Richard: I don't know if there is a more miserable person on a positive roll than Zaria. She has been too obsessed with Sol and it takes away my interest in what she does. Tatum is the former champ so she has an entitlement to a rematch. This should be a good match, but I don't see Zaria losing the title.
Men's North American Championship Match: Myles Borne vs Tavion Heights
Dave: I think Mikes gets the win here. At this point in the Tip Sheet it really jumps out how much talent that they have lost to the main roster recently.
Mike: This will be fine but I don't see a title change here.
Richard: I like the idea of this match, but I don't like the execution of the build. Tavion comes off as the whiner who never got anything and Myles abandoned him to become successful. The wrestling will be good in this match, but if they try to sprinkle in too much storyline, it could take away from the match. I don't expect Myles to lose, but if Tavion is going to turn heel, I can see him win the match and become the new champion.
Women's Speed Championship Match: Wren Sinclair vs Arianna Grace
Dave: I am thinking that the champ retiains.
Mike: I like Grace but she's stronger as a character vs. an in-ring talent thus far. I don't see her winning the title.
Richard: We know this will go no more than five minutes and it is a shame because I think Wren has so much more to give us than a five minute match. Being in Kendal's shadow hurts a bit but Wren is still talented. With all of the potential for interference, I hope it doesn't happen. I would like to see Wren retain.
Dion Lennox vs Saquon Shugars
Dave: Pour some Shugars on me.
Mike: I expect Shugars to win here.
Richard: I have never been invested in the Dark State feud but I like Saquon's in ring work and Dion has had some of his best performances recently. Saquon has shown an edge by taking out Cutler and Osiris to make it one on one on Sunday. Saquon should win the match.
Tristan Angels vs Shiloh Hill
Dave: Keeping up the music theme, she talks to Angels....
Mike: This has been some, well, stuff. I will go with Angels but I hope we move on quick from this silliness.
Richard: After that exciting Mr. NXT Pageant, I have no expectations for this match. Hill has potential, but he comes off to me like a mix between ZZ and Duke Rotunda. Fighting over a sash is giving me Edge/Booker hair commercial in Japan vibes. Hill probably wins because I have no idea why.
