AEW Collision Summer Blockbuster was recorded Thursday from the Andrew J. Brady Music Center in Cincinnati, OH. Our commentary team is Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness.
Bad Dude Tito is from New Japan Pro Wrestling and the TMDK faction that has Zack Sabre Jr. as its leader.
Tito gets a big kick when they shake hands, and Tito fires shots in the ropes. Tito gets a scoop slam. They trade shots back and forth until Omega gets a hurricanrana. Tito rolls to the floor, and Omega dives onto him. Omega works over Tito on the floor. Tito is able to get a suplex on the floor and slams Omega’s head into the apron before rolling him into the ring.
Tito works over Omega in the corners and hits an exploder suplex for two. They trade blows in the middle of the ring, and Omega picks up Tito for You Can’t Escape, but Tito gets the knees up. Tito gets an enzuigiri, then a gutwrench into a German suplex for two. They trade chops after Tito escapes a full nelson. Omega gets a running knee strike and then a snap dragon suplex and another running knee for two. Omega gets a V-Trigger and follows with the One Winged Angel for the pin and the win.
Winner: Kenny Omega
Omega grabs a mic and says he asked himself what the next plan of action was to climb to the top. He said he couldn’t make it in time for the Owen, but Zack Sabre Jr. delivered him a package. He then goes over Sabre’s history by saying Bryan Danielson was the best technical wrestler of all time, but in the same breath, people say Zack’s name. He says their match will be a mutual agreement: if Zack wins, he can claim to be the greatest technician on Earth, and if Kenny wins, by beating somebody considered one of the best, he could test himself against one of the best in AEW.
He says he will see Zack at Forbidden Door, and to MJF, it’s just a matter of time.
We go to the back, where the Don Callis Family is speaking. Kyle Fletcher says that Mark Davis is not in the Owen Hart Final because of Konosuke Takeshita. Kyle says it is time for them to take some revenge and time to bring the International Championship to the Family. Kazuchika Okada joins them and agrees with Kyle, and they reform Protokada.
They charge at each other and throw hands. Shida gets a hair-pull takedown and then pounds Steel. They run the ropes, and Shida gets a shoulder tackle. Steel tries an arm drag, and Shida blocks it. Shida forces them to the corner, where she gets ten in the corner and a flurry more. Steel comes off the ropes with a tijeras, and Shida whips Steel to the corner. Steel dodges a charge and gets an uppercut, followed by a rising knee strike and a snapmare.
Shida is sent to the floor, and Steel tries a baseball slide, but Shida catches her and lays in blows and follows with a running knee strike and a hair pull as we go to picture-in-picture.
When we return to full screen, Shida kicks Steel down to the mat, and Steel comes off the ropes with a Thesz Press. Steel gets a roll-up for two. Steel hits an enzuigiri, and Shida rolls to the floor. Steel dives onto Shida and rolls her into the ring for two. Steel tries for a Killswitch, but Shida escapes and gets a big knee after whipping Steel into the ropes.
They fire blows back and forth, and Shida wins the exchange and gets a roundhouse kick. Steel grabs an octopus stretch, but Shida powers out and tries for a slam, but Steel turns it into a roll-up for two. Shida gets a running kick for two. Shida hits a Falcon Arrow and then grabs an ankle lock. Shida ties up the arm and head, and Steel has to tap out.
Winner and moving on to Survival of the Fittest: Hikaru Shida
Shida doesn’t relinquish the hold and then starts slapping Steel until Daniels berates her.
Lexi Nair is in the back with The Opps, and Anthony Bowens says he is feeling his best because of Samoa Joe because they are choosing violence. Hook cuts him off and says they only care about destroying everything in their path. He tells Bowens not to act like a leader; he’s the new guy and should know his place. Bowens asks what is up with Hook, and Hook says it is not about friends, it’s about violence. Hook tells Lexi if she talks to The Opps, she talks to Hook.
Nigel makes as many pot jokes as he can in the brief time the match goes on. They pin Aaron with the Hot Fire Flame.
Winners: The Rascalz
The Rascalz cut a quick promo after the match to bring out Myron Reed.
Don Callis joins commentary.
Myron calls for a handshake, and Knight slaps his hand. They lock up, and Knight forces them into the corner, then Reed reverses it. They break clean and then move to waistlocks. Reed gets a hip toss. Knight gets a big kick and then lays in blows on the mat. Reed goes to the apron, and Knight tries to attack. Reed gets a leg drop on the rope and then hits a dropkick in the ring.
Reed gets a monkey flip out of the corner, and Knight goes to the floor. Reed goes to the floor, and Knight gets into the ring for a dive, but Reed stops him with a cutter in the ropes, then a dropkick for two. They trade chops in the corner. Knight whips Reed into the corner and then gets a springboard forearm from the apron. Knight lays in blows on the mat. Knight gets a scoop slam and covers for two as we go to picture-in-picture.
When we return to full screen, Knight has Reed in an abdominal stretch. Reed is able to turn it into a hip toss. Knight gets a kick and follows with a suplex into a clothesline for two. Knight holds the wrist and drops Reed over and over with forearms. Reed is able to get a roll-up for two. Reed gets a slingshot slam, and both men are down.
Reed pops up first and gets a series of strikes and kicks. Reed gets a thrust kick and drops Knight on the top rope for a flatliner for two. Knight rolls to the floor, and as Reed starts for a dive, Knight returns to the ring via the steps. Reed goes to the top, and Knight gets a hurricanrana from the top and then a spinning backbreaker for two. Knight goes to the top, and Reed joins him. Knight knocks him to the ramp and grabs Reed in the ropes, and Reed gets a Stundog Millionaire in the ropes. Reed then gets a running cutter and follows with another from the apron to the floor.
Reed rolls Knight into the ring and hits a No Cap Splash for two, with Knight getting a foot on the ropes. They get to their feet and go back and forth. Reed gets an armbar roll-up for two. Knight gets a side suplex for the pin and the win after they both miss dropkicks.
Winner and still TNT Champion: Kevin Knight
We get a promo from Maya World about her brother passing and how she needed to wrestle to help get over it. She says Athena taught her everything she knows, and that will come back to bite Athena in the ass because she is the It Girl.
In the back, Athena says she is sorry about what happened to Maya World’s brother, but she will win the Owen. Just because she taught Maya everything she knows doesn’t mean she taught Maya everything Athena knows. Athena says just because Maya is the It Girl doesn’t mean she’s not living in Athena’s world.
Athena gets to do most of her big moves and finally wins the match with the Koji Clutch.
Winner: Athena
Athena attacks James after the match, and Maya World comes to the ring for the save. Athena heads to the back with her Ring of Honor title left in the ring. She goes to the back and then charges to the ring, drops Maya, and takes her title back.
In the back, Ricochet is with GOA and says for every success he has had a setback, and he says he will be returning to his quest for gold. He then says he is coming for Konosuke Takeshita.
The Dogs attack someone backstage on their way to the ring.
Finlay and Nick start. Nick gets a side headlock, and Connors gets a blind tag. They all run the ropes, and The Dogs collide. Nick tosses Finlay over the top onto Connors and then dives onto both of them. Connors is returned to the ring, and he tags in Finlay. The Bucks then start their double-team moves. Connors attacks the Bucks from behind when they take down Finlay, and all four men are fighting in the ring. The Bucks get double bulldogs on The Dogs, and The Dogs roll to the floor.
The Dogs go to the ramp, and Nick gets a flying crossbody from the top. Matt is put in the ring with a back body drop by Finlay, and then Nick takes a two-man clothesline. Nick is able to fight off and stop The Dogs’ double-team moves, and all four men fight on the ramp. Finlay is tossed to the floor, where Matt dives onto him. Finlay is able to get a stalling vertical suplex, with Connors getting the diving assist.
The Dogs go to the ring and call for the count. Matt is rolled into the ring at nine, and The Dogs hit him with a hi-low for two as we go to picture-in-picture.
When we return to full screen, Matt has been the babyface in peril through the break. Matt is finally able to get a double suplex and tags in Nick, so it’s time for Nick to run wild. Nick ends the sequence with a flying crossbody from the top onto Connors for two. Matt gets a blind tag, and it’s time for Young Buckery.
Nick is tagged in, and they call for a Superkick Party. But Connors is able to stop them and then pounces Matt into Nick. The Bucks start with superkicks again. All four men keep fighting with big moves and two-counts. The Bucks work over Connors with kicks and hit the BTE Trigger for two, and Finlay breaks it up.
The Bucks set for the Meltzer Driver, and Finlay breaks it up and nails Matt with the shillelagh, and Connors rolls him up for two. Nick fights with both of The Dogs, and Connors stops him with a spear. The Dogs hit the Full Clip on Matt for the pin and the win.

We get a recap setting up the six-on-six cage match at Forbidden Door.
The Conglomeration is backstage and says Mark Briscoe has a path to a world title match, and on Wednesday they will reveal their six-man team. And yes, Kyle O’Reilly called him “Don Phallis.”
Tony then publicly apologizes for what Thekla did to Stardom, but Thekla interrupts him. Thekla says she will not apologize to Stardom, AEW, or any dumb bitches who think that joshi girls deserve any of her respect. She then tells Tony to shut his mouth. She gets on the announce table and says Stardom fired her, but look at her now. The crowd cheers for Thekla. She says spitting on Stardom’s logo got people talking about them.
She says the Stardom locker room wants a piece of her, so send their best girl and she will give them a title shot. She will buy the president of Stardom a first-class ticket to sit in the first row to see just how great Thekla is.
In the back, the Bang Bang Gang says that they took their money from beating them, they started a shop to spay and neuter pets, and while The Dogs are recovering, they won’t be able to clean themselves.
Persephone charges at Hart and misses. Hart slaps her, and Persephone takes Hart down with a double-leg takedown and lays in blows. They run the ropes, and Persephone gets a shoulder tackle, followed by a gator roll for one only. Hart gets a kick, and Persephone gets a springboard arm drag for two. Hart trips Persephone and nails her in the back. Persephone grabs Hart’s leg for a suplex with a bridge for two.
Hart goes to the floor, and Persephone joins her, puts Hart on her shoulders, and drops her onto the ring apron face-first as we go to picture-in-picture.
When we return to full screen, Hart has dominated through the break. Hart walks the rope into a hurricanrana. Hart goes to the corner and gives Persephone a stomp when she charges in. Hart goes to the top for a moonsault, but Persephone gets out of the way and hits rapid-fire chops on Hart in the corner. Persephone gets a running shoulder tackle. Persephone gets a forward roll and goes to the second turnbuckle for a shotgun dropkick for two.
Persephone picks up Hart, and Hart reverses a crucifix bomb for two. They trade two-counts. Persephone gets a shotgun dropkick, and both women are down. Persephone pulls Hart up, and Hart gouges the eyes. Persephone hits Hart with an angry spear. Again, both women are down. Hart rolls to the apron and then up the ramp. Persephone grabs her, and they fight on the stage. Persephone finally gets a powerslam.
Persephone brings Hart to the ring, and Hart snaps Persephone’s neck on the top rope. Persephone nails Hart, knocking the black mist from her mouth, and hits a crucifix bomb for the pin and the win.

We get a hype video for Starlight Kid being at Forbidden Door.
In the back, Thekla is with Lexi, and she says she despises everything about Starlight Kid and this will be good because the Kid has never been to AEW. She will make sure her first time in AEW will be her last time in AEW, and the blood in Stardom will be on the Kid’s hands.
They lock up, and Doyle shoves Bailey back. Bailey throws kicks, and Doyle hits a pump kick to drop Bailey. Bailey goes for a hurricanrana, and Doyle catches him. Bailey goes to the top for a leaping hurricanrana and a dropkick to send Doyle to the apron. Bailey sweeps Doyle’s legs and then hits a moonsault from inside the ring onto Doyle on the floor. Bailey lays in chops on Doyle and then kicks him into a chair on the floor.
Knight gets up and distracts Bailey, and Doyle rolls Bailey into the ring. Bailey tries for a hurricanrana from the ring, but Doyle rolls through and picks up Bailey to slam him onto the apron. Doyle pulls Bailey up by his hair and slams him down. Doyle clotheslines Bailey down. Doyle slams Bailey on the mat. Doyle chokes Bailey on the second rope and breaks at five. Bailey lays in chops, and Doyle slams him for two. Doyle then tosses Bailey across the ring.
Doyle stands on Bailey's head and then tries to charge into the turnbuckle, but Bailey is able to bring Doyle down. Bailey hits a series of kicks and misses a running shooting star press. They fight on the apron, and Bailey gets a backflip knee drop. Speedball rolls Doyle into the ring, and Doyle goozles Bailey. Doyle picks up Bailey, and Bailey gets a roll-up for two. Bailey gets a series of kicks, and Doyle hits a clothesline to Bailey’s back, and both men are down.
When they get up, Bailey gets a series of kicks. Doyle stands on Bailey’s foot, and Bailey tries to chop his way free, but Doyle drops him with a right hand. They fight to the corner, and Bailey is able to get a powerbomb out of the corner for two. Bailey goes to the top and hits a shooting star press for two. Doyle gets a huge rolling elbow strike and then hits a deadlift fallaway slam for two.
Bailey dodges a charge in the corner and hits the spinning kick. Bailey goes to the top and misses an Ultimo Weapon as Doyle rolls out of the way. Doyle hits the deadlift powerbomb for the pin and the win.

The Death Riders are jumped by STP as they enter the building. Everyone is brawling in the area around the arena. Castagnoli is put under a series of barricades by Bravo and Dean. The fight moves through the entranceway and into the crowd. One by one, they make their way to ringside, and chairs are introduced.
Mox and Taylor work over each other. Moriarty and Garcia are fighting in the ring. Garcia is sent to the floor after Moriarty twists his neck, and PAC takes Garcia’s place. They run the ropes until Moriarty gets a leaping arm drag and a dropkick. Mox goes to the floor, and Mox attacks Moriarty from behind. Taylor and Bravo pull Mox off Moriarty, and STP swarm Mox. Taylor uses brass knuckles on Mox as STP holds him. They keep stomping Mox down, and Castagnoli breaks it all up. Castagnoli is able to get a suplex on Taylor, and Adora gets between Castagnoli and Bravo.
Adora lays in chops on Castagnoli, and Taylor nails Castagnoli from behind. Castagnoli drops Taylor and gets ready for the giant swing, but Adora attacks him from behind. Castagnoli catches Adora’s fist, and Shafir nails Adora. Shafir tells Castagnoli to hit the giant swing, and Shafir dropkicks Adora during the spin as we go to picture-in-picture.
When we return to full screen, during the break, Moriarty tosses coffee at Nigel McGuinness and drops him, and Garcia runs into Nigel as well. Mox is busted open. In the ring, Adora uses a roller skate as a weapon on Shafir. Dean gives Shafir a bronco buster in the ring. As STP is bragging to the camera, Mox grabs Dean and puts him through a table the Death Riders have set up. Castagnoli dives onto everyone on the floor.
In the ring, Garcia and Moriarty are throwing hands in the middle of the ring. Moriarty grabs an armbar, and Garcia turns it into a roll-up for two. Moriarty then takes the Forever Clotheslines into the corner from the Death Riders and is dropkicked to the floor.
STP charges into the ring, and everyone is brawling again. As people spill to the floor, PAC pulls out another table. PAC is eventually laid out on the table, and Adora gets a vertical suplex on Shafir on the entryway. Dean leaps over the barricade into PAC on the table. Castagnoli runs Taylor into the steel steps. Moriarty grabs an octopus hold on Castagnoli, and Castagnoli walks up the stairs and puts Moriarty through the timekeeper’s table.
As Garcia and Bravo fight in the ring, Christian XO distracts Garcia. Bravo is given brass knuckles by XO, and he nails Garcia with them. A chair is put into the ring, and Bravo and Dean get a curb stomp on the chair for two, broken up by Mox. Mox gets a double DDT on Bravo and Dean. Mox grabs an actual turnbuckle hook, and Taylor attacks him from behind.
We see Garcia has been busted open. A table is set up at ringside, and all of the STP members come over to attack Mox. Mox slaps Taylor and flips him off, and Taylor powerslams him through the table. Shafir is in the ring alone. STP surrounds her. She starts throwing fists and feet, and Adora drops her hard. Shafir’s boots and socks are ripped off, and Adora brings out a black bag and pours out army men, tacks, and glass on the mat. Shafir is picked up and dropped feet-first into the plunder.
Shafir grinds the plunder under her feet. Castagnoli clotheslines everyone down. PAC gets into the ring, and Castagnoli tosses PAC onto everyone at ringside. Moriarty and Garcia are in the ring, and Moriarty gets a Border City Stretch. Garcia grabs a piece of glass and cuts Moriarty’s arm to get free and grabs a Dragon Tamer. Taylor breaks it up, and Shafir leaps onto his back for a choke. Taylor slams her down, and Mox gets a cutter on Taylor.
The Death Riders do the Forever Clotheslines into Taylor in the corner. PAC hits a knockout clothesline, and Mox hits a Paradigm Shift for the pin and the win.
