6/6 AEW COLLISION REPORT

AEW Collision is live from the Covelli Centre in Youngstown, OH. Our commentary team is Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness.

Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Kross) AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions vs TayJay (Tay Melo and Anna Jay)

Anna and Megan start the match and Megan pie faces Anna, and they quickly move to running the ropes where Megan gets a shoulder tackle. Anna throws forearms and then gets a kick in the corner. Anna tries for a bulldog, but Megan blocks it. Kross is tagged in and they go for Divine Intervention, but Anna fights her way free and tags in Tay. They double team Kross and Tay gets a running knee for two, broken up by Megan.

All four women fight in the ring and TayJay is able to send both of their opponents to the floor and then come off the top onto Divine Dominion as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Anna has been the babyface in peril through the break. Anna is able to get a rope based bulldog on Kross and tags in Tay just as Megan tags in. Tay avoids a charge from Megan and then a series of charges and kicks on Megan in the corner and then stomps down Megan. Tay gets a knee strike and a hammerlock spike takedown for two. 

Anna is tagged in and Megan fights them off and Kross is tagged in and all four women fight. TayJay gets a series of charges in the corner and then a double team DDT on Kross for two, broken up by Megan. Kross and Megan get a two-woman pump kick on Anna for two, broken up by Tay. Each woman takes out the last woman to hit a move until everyone is down.

Anna and Kross are up and throw hands and Anna gets a Queenslayer, but Megan breaks it up and tosses Tay to the floor where they brawl. Anna grabs the Queenslayer on Kross again. Kross backs into the turnbuckle to break the hold. Divine Dominion hit the Divine Interventionion for the pin and the win.

Winners and still AEW Women's Tag Team Champions: Divine Dominion.

We get a hype video for Swerve Strickland vs Brody King on Dynamite.

The Don Callis Family is beating up people in the back as Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero mock Konosuke Takeshita. 

Shane Taylor vs The Already In The Ring Allen Angels

Lee Moriarty has words with Nigel McGuinness before Taylor beats the crap out of Angels and pins him with a package powerbomb. 

Winner: Shane Taylor

Taylor says that the Death Riders have been the most violent group in AEW and they go further than anyone else is willing to go. That all changes right now and Shane Taylor Promotions will be the most violent group AEW has ever seen. Taylor says that Jon Moxley said if anyone wants what they have they can come take it and Taylor says he will take that bet. 

Taylor then joins commentary.

Shane Taylor Promotions (Carlie Bravo, Shawn Dean, and Lee Moriarty) vs Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Pac)  

Mox and Lee start the match. They lock up and move quickly to arm bars. Lee gets a cravate takedown and then holds Mox down with an arm bar. Mox gets to his feet and breaks the hold and nails Lee with a chop. Lee sends Mox into his corner where Mox gets beaten down and Bravo tags in and hits chops. Mox is able to reverse it in the corner and gets them in the corner and ends with a thumb to the eye.

Mox drags Bravo into the corner where Pac tags in. Pac gets a German suplex and then a charge into the corner. He gets a snapmare and pins Bravo for two. Pac chops Bravo to his corner where Claudio tags in and gets an uppercut. Claudio then gets a gut-wrench suplex for two. Claudio stands on Bravo’s hand and gets beat into the corner and then chopped down. Bravo charges Claudio into his corner and all six men start brawling in and around the ring as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Pac has been kept in the ring with quick tags. Pac is finally able to get a jawbreaker but STP pulls him back and stomped him down again. Mox has had enough and comes over to the STP corner and attacks the members not in the ring. Pac is able to get a German suplex on Lee and crawls for the tag to Claudio who runs wild.

Claudio gets the giant swing with Mox hitting the dropkick to Bravo’s head. Pac has tagged in and is set to come off the top, but Taylor distracts the ref so that Trish Adora can knock Pac off the top. Everyone is brawling around the ring and Trish brings a chair in the ring and Marina takes it from her and tosses her to the floor. As Pac argues with the ref, all of the Death Riders get the forearm charges in the corner. Pac nails Bravo with a clothesline and locks on the brutalizer and Bravo has to tap.

Winners: Death Riders.

We then get a recap of everything on Dynamite.

Tommaso Ciampa vs The Already In The Ring Beef

Beef gets a cartwheel and a clothesline. That was nice for him. Ciampa wins with a Walls of Jericho.

Winner: Tommaso Ciampa

Ciampa stomps down Beef before leaving the ring and tells Tony Schiavone to let Jericho know he is coming for him and then puts Beef in the Walls of Jericho on the floor Ciampa tells Tony that he has to say Tommaso Ciampa is better than Chris Jericho, which he does.

In the back, Shane Taylor asks Mox if he is in brother's keeper, as they have Wheeler Yuta beaten down at his feet and challenges Mox to fight next week.

The Dogs are threatening someone in the back before Clark Connors comes out.

Clark Connors w/Dave Finlay vs Juice Robinson w/Ace Austin and the Gunns

Connors charges into Juice and rips off his shirt and chokes him with it. Connors gets a Thesz press and beats down Juice. Juice is able to pick the legs and pummels Connors as well. Juice gets a headbutts and a hip toss. Juice gets a Manhattan drop followed by a leg sweep for two. Juice gets a series of jabs and Connors rolls to the floor. Juice nails Connors when he starts to get into the ring and then dives onto him from the apron. Connors pushes Juice into the ringpost and then into the apron.

Connors brings matches over to Juice, but the ref is able to take them away. Connors keeps working over Juice on the floor. Connors slams Juice’s head into the steel steps. He rolls Juice into the ring and throws hands in the corner. Juice is whipped into the turnbuckle as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, they are throwing hands. They run the ropes and Connors gets a pounce for two. Connors throws jabs, which fires up Juice who charges through Connors and then levels him with atomic elbows and a back senton. Juice hits a jab and a chop over and over into the corner. Juice gets a cannonball and hits a power bomb for two. 

Connors escapes a Killswitch and hits a powerslam for two. Juice leaps over a spear and clotheslines Connors to the floor. Juice dives onto him and rolls Connors back in the ring. Finlay tries to attack with the shillelagh, and Juice stops it with a jab. Juice returns to the ring with a leg lariat and a series of jabs. Juice hits the Left Hand of God and pulls up Connors. Juice runs the ropes and Finlay hits with the shillelagh from the floor and Connors hits the spear for the pin and the win.

Winner: Clark Connors

We get a video from Hikaru Shida explaining that she tried to be friends when she came back, but everyone acted as if they were all better than her, but they aren’t.

Kris Statlander says she found out who Shida was, but Shida now knows who she is.

Mina Shirakawa and Harley Cameron say they will be fighting for the TBS Title and if they come down to the last two, they are ready to fight each other.

Queen Aminata says her eyes are on the title and Zayda Steel says she was just in a Survival of the Fittest match and she’s ready for another one.

In the back, Jon Moxley says Shane Taylor has gone to great lengths to get what Mox has, but Mox says he wouldn’t have made the move unless he was completely sure. On Dynamite, he will give Shane Taylor exactly what he asked for. 

The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong) AEW Trios Champions vs LFI (Rush, Dralistico, and Sammy Guevara)

Cassidy and Sammy start the match. Sammy strikes the Tranquilo pose and Cassidy goes for pockets. They run the ropes, both miss shotgun dropkicks and both kip up. Sammy gets a kick and a headlock and Cassidy tags in Roddy and he gets a shoulder tackle for two. Kyle tags in and they all work over Sammy with quick tags. Cassidy does the slow comedown from the top elbow drop for two. Sammy gets a jab to Cassidy’s eyes, and Cassidy is worked to LFI’s corner and they triple team Cassidy.

Cassidy is able to get a back body drop on Sammy and Roddy is tagged in and gives Sammy a backbreaker, running Sammy into Dralistico. He then uses Cassidy to batter Dralistico and Sammy, but Rush breaks it up. Sammy gets a moonsault off the top onto Cassidy as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Roddy has been the babyface in peril through the break. Roddy is able to clothesline Rush and tags in Kyle, and Kyle cleans house. Kyle is able to get an ankle lock on Dralistico and Sammy breaks it up. Kyle gets a comebacker into superkicks but then a comebacker clothesline on Dralistico and Sammy. Cassidy hits the ring and takes out Sammy, but Dralistico gets a codebreaker for two.

Cassidy gets a Stundog Millionaire and Rush nails Cassidy. Cassidy rolls out of the way of Bull’s Horns and Roddy dives onto Rush when Rush follows Cassidy. Kyle dropkicks Rush over the barricade. Dralistico dives onto Kyle and Roddy and Cassidy dives into Dralistico. Sammy tries for GTS and he escapes it and shoves Sammy into Dralistico on top. Cassidy gets the orange punch on Dralistico and rolls him up for the pin and the win.

Winners and still AEW Trios Champions: The Conglomeration

The Dogs say that the Young Bucks have their attention, but the Bucks didn’t take out the AEW Tag Team Champions like the Dogs have. The Dogs tell the Bucks to meet them next week to get their beating.

In the back, the Conglomeration is with Lexi Nair, and they are interrupted by Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta and they challenge Cassidy to face Andrade El Idolo. Cassidy tells them to leave and when they do, he says he accepts.

Hazuki vs Persephone - Owen Hart Tournament Quarterfinal Match

This is our main event which is a big step for both women.

They start with waistlocks and headlocks with a quick takedown and a break. Persephone’s eye is bothering her as it was sprayed by Julia Hart with black mist a few weeks ago. Persephone gets a wristlock takeover and holds onto the wrist. Hazuki escapes and they run the ropes. Hazuki gets a rollthrough and Persephone is able to get a reversal into a bridge and they trade two counts back and forth.

They dodge attacks until Hazuki gets an arm bar takedown and Persephone gets to the ropes for a break. Hazuki gets a big boot and a sunset flip, but Persephone escapes and hits a shotgun dropkick for two. Persephone lays in blows on Hazuki on the mat and covers for two. Persephone slams Hazuki and leaps onto the ropes, but Hazuki blocks her and hits a backstabber. Persephone goes to the floor and Hazuki leaps but Persephone catches her as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Hazuki has a crossface and Persephone rolls back for two. Hazuki hits a series of kicks to Persephone’s head, but Persephone gets a clothesline. Persephone lays in chops and gets a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for two. Hazuki escapes a power bomb and charges, but Persephone puts her on top. Hazuki gets a hurricanrana and then hits a back elbow. Hazuki gets a shotgun dropkick after coming off the top rope for two. 

Hazuki gets a lungblower on Persephone in the corner and goes to the top. Persephone joins her there and gets a superplex and both women are down. Persephone gets a jackhammer for two. Persephone tries for a Gori bomb, but Hazuki escapes into a sunset flip for two. Persephone gets a German suplex with a bridge for two. Hazuki gets a lungblower and an inside cradle for the pin and the win.

Winner and advancing in the tournament: Hazuki

They shake hands and hug after the match.

As Hazuki goes up the ramp, Mercedes Mone attacks Persephone in the ring and grabs a Statement Maker. Mone leaves when Hazuki comes back for the save. Mone gets back in the ring when Hazuki checks on Persephone and security and referees pull Mone away. When Mone gets out of the ring, Hazuki dives on Mone. They are pulled apart and we are desperately out of time!
