WWE RELEASES ECW ORIGINAL

World Wrestling Entertainment released ECW original Francine earlier today, so expect an official announcement at any time. No word yet on what led to the decision, although they had used her fleetingly on TV since the ECW brand was re-launched. 

ANOTHER WWE RELEASE

Gunner Scott (Brent Albright), who was one of the focal stars pushed in Ohio Valley Wrestling under Paul Heyman's regime as booker, and later appeared for several months on the Smackdown roster was released today by World Wrestling Entertainment. 

Scott had been sent back down to OVW for seasoning last June after being told that he wasn't connecting with the audience, although to be fair, he wasn't given much to work with creatively at the time. 

LEGENDARY BOOKER RETURNS TO WWE

Pat Patterson has returned to WWE as a "producer", which is what an agent used to be called.

PRE-SALE PASSWORD FOR SURVIVOR SERIES TICKETS, WHICH GO ON SALE TODAY

Pre-sale of tickets for next month's Survivor Series PPV went on sale today at 10 a.m. and continue until tomorrow night at 10 p.m.  Tickets for the show, which will take place at The Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, will be sold at www.comcasttix.com instead of Ticketmaster due to the fact that show is being held in a Comcast-owned building.

We have been told of two passwords to get your tickets early.  They are: WWESS and WWES.

WWE TIES IN WITH HIT NBC SERIES, NEWS ON RATINGS, JIM ROSS, JOHN CENA AND MORE

NBC’s Deal or No Deal game show has issued an open casting call for contestants on the show to WWE fans before Sunday's Supershow at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.  They will be screening people from 6:30 to 7:30.

Joe Leverence sent along the following "Guess who isn't a wrestling fan?" moment. ... Last night during the Oakland A's game, the announcers mentioned the fact that Jason Kendall's favorite wrestler was Stone Cold Steve Austin. One of the announcers went on to say their favorite wrestler was George "The Animal" Smith, whose son is Ohio State linebacker James Laurinaitis.

WWE NOTES ON HULK HOGAN, KING BOOKER, BIG SHOW AND MORE

Big Show also gives his take on the PPV, with Test and RVD adding their comments as well. They don't threaten to confront him if he loses, but they will be disappointed. Test adds he put his "career aspirations" on hold to be part of ECW and he is being groomed by Paul Heyman and Big Show to be the future champion of ECW..
