THE FIRST EVER WICKED GARDEN MATCH & MORE: TNA THURSDAY NIGHT IMPACT ON AMC REPORT

By Mike Johnson on 2026-06-04 23:03:00

Welcome to PWInsider.com's TNA Thursday Night Impact coverage from Sacramento, CA!

The announcers, as always, are Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt.

The System came to the ring.

Eddie Edwards with The System vs. BDE

BDE looked strong early, hitting a high cross bodyblock  and a dive to the outside.  Edwards was dumped back into the ring.  BDE went for a moonsault but was crotched on the top. Edwards hit a belly to back superplex for a two count.  BDE tried to fight back but was taken down in the corner.  BDE came back with a pair of clotheslines and a splash in the corner.  He nailed an inverted DDT for a two count on Edwards.  Alisha Edwards tried to distract BDE so Eddie could attack but the couple almost crashed into each other.  BDE hit a sit out bomb for a two count.  He went to the top but the rest of the System got involved and distracted him and the referee.  By the time BDE soared off the top, Edwards was able to pull the knees up and hit the Boston Knee Party for the pin.

Your winner, Eddie Edwards!

This was solid with the story being BDE getting a little offense in to showcase his potential before falling prey to the veteran.

Fabian Aichner hit the ring to make the save with a springboard dive into the ring.  Bear Bronson cut him off with a big Uranage and they swarmed BDE and Aichner.  Leon Slater hit the scene and made the save, taking The Sytem down one by one.  He nailed a big soaring dive over the ring post, taking down The System.

I feel like they needed a strong promo from the babyfaces after this but it didn't happen.

They aired a promo from The Righteous.  They claimed to have freed the Hardys and said the Wicked Garden will be the next step to evolution.  They promised The Hardys won't leave the same way they entered.  They produced the hell out of this and it was really well done.

AJ Francis made his way to the ring.  He praised that he's lost tons of weight since losing Rich Swann and KC Navarro.  He put over legendary musical acts that played the venue before saying he was going to perform his own song.  He began performing a song called Walk and it was a play off Elijah.  Out came Elijah.  He said he heard people talking about walking and that's thing, so he wanted to come and see for himself.  Francis said it was his intellectual property.  Elijah said Francis put his face over Elijah's body on the album cover.  Elijah told him to not take it personally he didn't want to have a collab.  He said the fun was over and to let it go.  Francis said that he wanted him to hold something.  It was a cease and desist.  He claimed he bought the music and rights to Elias, Elijah and Ezekiel.  He said he owns the music catalog, so that means he owns Elijah.  Elijah mocked him by calling him "Uncle Phil" and was going to perform but Francis nailed him with the ring mic and laid out Elijah in the ring before walking off.  Elijah was bleeding from what appeared to be his ear or the side of his head.

The angle was fine but anyone who believes Francis bought the rights also believes someone stole the "T" from Booker T in WCW.   Francis has gotten into real good shape and his mic work is really good.

Santino Marella and Indi Hartwell were preparing.  Daria Rae showed up and said she had nothing to do with Hartwell getting a new deal.

Elayna Black said last week, she out-performed every woman in the ring and said she's better than everyone in the Knockouts division.  She said Hartwell is concerned about Marella's family drama because she's desperate to kiss up to the boss because she can't survive on her own.  Black said she's going to be the next champion whether anyone likes it or not.

Santino Marella & Indi Hartwell vs. Stacks & Arianna Grace

Frankie Kazarian is on commentary.  Marella and Stacks kicked things off but Stacks tagged out to Grace, Marella's daughter.  She dared her father to strike her.  Marella couldn't do it, even after she slapped him.  Hartwell hit the ring and speared Grace but since she wasn't legal, she was backed off.  Stacks tagged in and jumped Marella from behind.  Marella was worked over but grabbed a rear naked choke in the center of the ring,  Stacks was able to escape and drilled Marella.  Marella came back and grabbed a cross armbreaker but Grace stomped her own father to break it up.  Everyone battled in the ring.  Birthright whipped their opponents at each other but Santino and Hartwell whipped each other back and hit their opponents, then rained down punches in the corner.  Stacks drilled Marella with punches and chops.  Marella fired back with his own.  He used a Judo takedown to bring Stacks to the mat and went back to the rear naked choke.

When they returned from commercial, Stacks was back in control.  Marella was able to backdrop him over the ropes to the floor.  Hartwell and Grace tagged in.  Hartwell nailed a spinebuster for a two count.  Stacks tried to trip Hartwell but she realized it.  That allowed Grace to drill her with a knee and work over Hartwell in the corner.  She nailed a spinning neckbreaker for a two count.  Hartwell finally battled free and made the tag.  Marella cleaned house on Stacks and pulled out The Cobra.  Grace pulled it away from him.  She put it on and was going to use it on Santino but Hartwel intervened and Grace nailed her own fiancée.  Marella pulled out a spare Cobra.  He and Hartwell put them on and nailed their opponents, scoring the pin.

Your winners, Santino Marella and Arianna Grace!

Solid, enjoyable soap opera match with the fans enjoying Santino.

Backstage, The Concierge and The Elegance Brand spoke with Mr. Elegance. The lights went out and Rosemary, Allie and Mara Sade appeared, scaring them away.

Eric Young came to the ring for a promo.  He said he warned everyone how sick the company was and he took out Joe Hendry, Ricky Sosa and EC3 and will do the same to Mike Santana.  He said Santana is addicted to ego and to pleasing the fans but Eric isn't and he's going to win the title.  Santana came to the ring.  He said Young is talking about relevance but he hasn't been relevant for 15 years.  He questioned Young thinking he'll be some savior if he takes out Santana.  Young said he's seen wrestlers, champions and management go and he's the constant watching the company rot from the inside.  Santana said what poisons the place is people like Young, thinking he deserves seniority or ownership because he's been here the longest.  All he's done is tried and failed.  Young asked him if he really thinks the fans care about him.  He said fans just want a shiny new toy and when the shine wears off, they are going to turn their backs, just like the fans did Young.  He's survived because he understand the place.  He's the only one who knows what to do to fix this place.  He's going to piledrive Santana, take the title and his power back.  Santana said he's a man of his word and said next week, he was going to break his foot off in Young's ass.  Santana said he's tired of listening to Young talk and suggested they just fight right now and not wait for next week.  Young kicked him low and nailed a piledriver.    Young dropped the TNA title belt down on Santana and stepped over him as they went to commercial.

Good promos from both.

The Injury Report: Elijah was treated for a cut ear.  Everyone is on alert to assist medically after the Wicked Garden match.

TNA International Champion Mustafa Ali said last week, somehow KC Navarro was able to beat him in a fluke last week and now has a title match for next week.  Ali wasn't happy.  John Skyler's facial expressions are very underrated.

They aired a recap of Young's attack of Santana.

TNA Knockouts Champion Lei Ying Lee vs. Mr. Elegance with The Concierge

Xia Brookside is at ringside for commentary.  She said she didn't know why she was there.  I've had that feeling at wrestling shows!  Brookside knocked Hannifan, saying her dad the legendary Robbie Brookside thought Tom sucked.  Ouch.  Tom doesn't suck.

Elegance tried to work over Lee's arm but she quickly got free and rained down with punches.  The Elegance Brand got on the apron, so the referee threw all of them out.    All of this allowed Mr. Elegance to nail Lee and do the Devil's Kiss.  He plays one hell of a hammy character and that's meant as a compliment.  Lee started to fire back with strikes and hit a sunset flip but he held on and dropped down.  He nailed her with a left handed punch.  He charged her and was sent into the buckles.  She drilled him with strikes and a big superkick.  She locked in an anklelock but he made it to the ropes.  She pulled him off the ropes into a powerbomb.  Hey, Mike Bucci created that move in 1996.  She went to elevate him for a Fireman's Carry but he escaped and nailed a punch after sending her into the air.  Elegance went to the top but took too much time, leaving Lee to crotch him on the top rope.  She went for an Airplane Spin but Xia Brookside got on the apron.  Lee nailed her but that allowed Elegance to nail her with his DDT variation for the pin.

Your winner, Mr. Elegance!

Hated the finish.  No way should the Knockouts champ be losing to a comedy character in my opinion.

Brookside took the mic and said she pinned Lee in the Champions Challenge and she'll fight her at Slammiversary on 6/28 in Boston.

Wicked Garden Match: The Broken Hardys vs. The Righteous.

The Righteous came out with a huge mass of followers.  The followers surrounded the ring.  The ring had flowers all over with two terrace walls wrapped in barbed wire against the back corners.  The flowered ropes were wrapped in barbed wire.  Some other weapons as well.  The only way to win is pinfall or submission inside the ring.  No DQ or countouts.

The teams faced off and began brawling center ring.   They tried to send The Hardys into the barbed wire but Matt and Jeff saved themselves.  Dutch was thrown into the barbed wire board, upside down.  The crowd chanted, "This is awesome."  Vincent whipped Jeff into the barbed wire, then dug his arm into it.  Matt grabbed Vincent and drove him into the Matt.  He grabbed a garden weapon and ripped at Dutch's face.  The Hardys worked over The Righteous.  Vincent caught Matt with a side slam.  The crowd chanted for The Hardys as The Righteous regained control.  He wrapped barbed wire around Hardy's forehead.    The Hardys made a comeback and nailed a double elbow on Vincent as he rebounded off the ropes.  Matt was bleeding from the wire.  He and Vincent battled to the floor.  Vincent's face was smashed into the apron outside.  Jeff and Dutch battled on the other side.  Vincent drove Matt into the barbed wire.  Vincent then threw Jeff into the steel steps on the floor. Matt whipped Dutch into the steps, which he crashed over.

Everyone battled.  Vincent choked Jeff.  Dutch sent Matt into the ring steps.   They battled back into the ring.  Jeff tried to fight them off two to one.  Matt returned to the fray, sending Vincent into the ring steps.  Matt was sent into the ring post.  Dutch slammed Jeff into a barbed wire board.  Jeff was beaten down.  Jeff was thrown through the ropes but the barbed wire stuck to him as he went to the floor.  Matt tried to return but was taken down.  Dutch nailed a cutter for a two count on Matt.  The fans tried to rally The Hardys.

Vincent wrapped barbed wire around his fist and nailed Jeff with it.  Matt hit Dutch low with an arm wrapped in barbed wire.  Jeff got tangled in the barbed wire, bloody.  Matt nailed a Twist of Fate on Vincent but couldn't score the three count.  Jeff was able to return to the ring.  They wrapped Vincent's head in the barbed wire but Dutch made the save.  They battled Dutch and nailed a double suplex.  The crowd chanted, "This is awesome."  They wrapped barbed wire in Dutch's mouth and pulled it.  Vincent attacked.  Jeff sailed off Matt's back to drill him.  He nailed Dutch as well.

Matt hit the Side Effect on Dutch for a two count.  Jeff went to the top to use the barbed wire board and drive it down on Vincent but Dutch drilled Matt into it, with Jeff trapped in the chaos behind it.  They trapped Jeff in the barbed wire by his arms.  Vincent put on a black glove and pulled out some sort of flower.  They forced it into Jeff's mouth.  Jeff sort of collapsed.  Matt nailed both members of The Righteous and went to check on his brother.  Jeff fell to the mat.  Matt pulled him up but Jeff collapsed through the ropes to the floor, where medical staff attended to him.   The Righteous double-teamed Matt as Jeff foamed at the mouth on the floor and went unconscious.  Vincent said he wanted Brother Nero to meet Lilly.  Jeff was stretchered out but pulled himself off and charged back trying to make the save.  Dutch nailed a Bubbaslam on Matt Hardy.  They hit Orange Sunshine on Matt and scored the pin.

Your winners, The Righteous!

The lights go out as Vincent and Dutch celebrate and when they illuminate again, The Hardys are gone.  Cliffhanger city.
