PWInsider.com will have live, ongoing coverage tonight of Gotham Wrestling's first-ever Battle of New York from West Nyack, NY.
Gotham Wrestling head Dave Marquez is missing his first-ever taping tonight as he was unable to travel to NYC. In his absence, head of creative Nick Bonnano and Xcite Wrestling's Jonny Moose are running the logistical side of the tapings. Moose's ring and production equipment is used regularly by Gotham.
The main event will be the promotion's first ever Skyscraper match, which will have some scaffolding involved as part of the bout.
Gotham Wrestling's on-screen Commissioner Little Guido is also not here as the storyline is he is still out after being attacked by Chris Dickinson at the end of the last set of tapings. There will be fallout from the attack tonight. The irony is Guido actually lives about ten minutes away.
They will be taping four week's worth of episodes tonight.
LSG, Leon St. Giovanni is backstage visiting.
Ray Jaz, a regular here, is now also working with The Savannah Bananas.
AEW VP Pat Buck, who was slated for the taping, is no longer listed internally as wrestling.
Drew Gulak, Patrick Fitzpatrick of Queens Gets the Money and Papadon are working as producers at the taping.
The next taping is already locked in for Tuesday 7/28.
Coverage will commence around 7 PM Eastern.
