Hope you had a good weekend, onto some questions from RAW.Overall, a very solid show with some really intriguing developments, some that I've wanted to happen for awhile. 1. LA Knight promo with Jey Uso; Knight came right to it and called out the recent behaviour of the Bloodline, specifically the 3 on 1 that you and I took issue with last week. I'm hoping with a top babyface making an issue of it that it plants the seeds of doubt for the fans who may have been cheering it before. It was a little thing that went a long way, at least for this viewer. You?
Honestly, I haven’t understood why anyone would see it any differently than Knight did. Roman and company are the heels here. Jacob isn’t. I laughed when Roman told Pearce that he has been trying to change. Really? That must have been done off camera. The whole program has been sideways thus far. I hope they start to right the ship this weekend.
2. And to follow up, there were some boos for Roman Reigns later when he spoke to Jacob. And telling Fatu he'd domesticate him and Fatu would have to serve him if he lost? Wow, nothing babyface about that. Someone saying that to another human being should have been booed on the spot. Is this more bad behaviour that the fans are just going to accept from Roman, or is a turn happening here?
I honestly don’t know but it wouldn’t be a turn for me since Roman HAS been a heel. I could see them having Roman cheat to win and Jacob shows honor and then falls in line since he actually agreed to do so this time. If that happens, they will probably have Jacob simmer until he breaks away, like Jey Uso did years ago.
As an aside, I don't think Jacob is winning this Sunday, but I think him having to be under Roman's boot will ultimately blow up at Summerslam and he takes the title there.
I could definitely see that happening.
3. Seth Rollins/Montez Ford; excellent match, and like Knight, Seth talking to Montez in the ring was well done to me. He said he's trying to change, so at least the TV viewers got to hear it if not the live audience. Seth needed to say that previously in a promo, but maybe he'll cover it soon. But, him saying it to Montez shows contrition, and that's a needed step in my eyes to help me root for him. I know most of the audience is happy to cheer and sing his song, so I'm likely in the minority wanting the little details looked after. Did you enjoy it?
I liked that too. Rollins is turning. He has acknowledged he was a dick and doesn’t deserve to have anyone help him. Then, he told Montez he is trying to change. Those are the seeds of admission and contrition. That’s what a babyface does.
4. Logan Paul injury; holy shit, is the Vision jinxed or what? It just never seems to end for them with injuries. And I know injuries can happen at any time to anyone, but Logan has been looking a LOT bigger to me in recent weeks, and my viewing experience has taught me that many injuries seem to occur to guys that are really well muscled.
The Vision is definitely jinxed at this point. It looks like they will try and use this as an opportunity to really push Austin Theory, which is a good thing to do given the situation. They can see if they can take him to the next level.
5. Oba Femi announced he is going to try and commit murder this weekend! I doubt Vince would have allowed Oba to say that, but it still surprised me a little just from a verbiage standpoint.
I loved it. It made the emotion feel real. Vince probably wouldn’t have allowed it.
