5/23 NJPW BEST OF SUPER JUNIOR RESULTS FROM HYOGO, JAPAN

From Hyogo, Japan:

1 - Gedo and Daiki Nagai vs. Zane Jay and Francesco Akira

Akira pins Gedo with a Gedo Clutch.

2 - Tatsuya Matsumoto, Master Wato and Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Hartley Jackson, Ryohei Oiwa and Kosei Fujita

Jackson pins Matsumoto after a reverse plancha.

3 - Tiger Mask and Nick Wayne vs. Robbie X and Titan

Titan forces Tiger Mask to submit to Llave Inmortal.  

 Best of the Super Jr. 33  A Block Match:

4 - Valiente Jr. vs. Jun Kasai

Kasai sets up chairs outside the ring into a pyramid.  He hits a DDT on Valiente on the floor.    He pulls out a flat cart and puts Valiente on the cart.   He pushes Valiente on the cart like a bowling ball into the chairs.  Kasai pulls out bamboo sticks.  The referee stops Kasai.   Valiente recovers and tries for an attack but Kasai is arguing with the referee.   Valiente pushes the referee aside and grabs the bamboo sticks.   Valiente hammers the sticks into Kasai's head and Kasai runs around the ring like a crazy monkey.   They trade reversals.  Valiente rolls Kasai into cradle and gets the pin.

Valiente Jr. has 4 points.

Jun Kasai has 6 points.

Valiente rolls out of the ring quickly into the laps of the fans at ringside, he was breathing heavily and selling the idea that he just survived a match with the Death Match Legend.  

 Best of the Super Jr. 33  B Block Matches:

5 - KUSHIDA vs. Hyo

KUSHIDA avoids a Samson Driver and applies an ankle lock.  Hyo goes for the ropes, but KUSHIDA kicks him in the arm.   Hyo hits a leaping DDT.   Hyo hits The Hunting (a cutter off the ropes).   Hyo pins KUSHIDA.

Hyo has 4 points.

KUSHIDA has 2 points.

6 - Jakob Austin Young vs. Daisuke Sasaki

Zany Jay, at ringside, gets a chair in the ring.  Young hits Another One Bites the Dust on Sasaki, on the chair.   Young pins Sasaki.

Jakob Austin Young has 4 points.

Daisuke Sasaki has 6 points.

7 - Taiji Ishimori vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru

Ishimori pins Kanemaru with the Gedo Clutch, after avoiding the Suntory Surprise and a low blow.

Taiji Ishimori has 6 points.

Yoshinobu Kanemaru has 4 points.

8 -  El Desperado vs. SHO

Togo interferes and distracts the referee.   SHO attacks Desperado's left arm.  They trade submissions.  Desperado locks in Numero Dos.  Togo rings the bell and distracts everyone.  SHO gets his wrench and Desperado punches him in the jaw.   Desperado kicks Togo in the balls.      SHO locks in the crossarm breaker.   Desperado reverses into Numero Dos.  SHO gives up.

El Desperado has 6 points.

SHO has 6 points.

9  - YOH vs. Robbie Eagles

Good match.  Eagles attacks the left leg.   They trade strikes and chops.   Eagles hits a Turbo Backpack and a kick to the head.   Eagles with a 450 splash.  They trade near falls.   YOH hits a laritat.   Eagles reverses out of a Direct Driver, hits a snap DDT and a Hyperion.   Eagles pins YOH.

Robbie Eagles has 4 points.

YOH has 6 points.
