Here’s the news for tonight. Lio Rush is here and he’s gonna murder DJ Powers. Onto the show!

Spotlight Match: Brett Mettro vs Cash McGuiness 

This match is fun. Cash is a perfect s***head and Mettro is doing good as an enthusiastic babyface. Metttro hits a high velocity airplane spin into a F5 for the win. Cash’s partner, Patrick Wheatman, watches from the merch table as his buddy gets crushed. 

Match 1: Rain Conway vs Eye Black Jack 

Conway says he’s coming for Jack’s “spot” after he cost Jack the match against DJ Powers last week. Jack charges in and pummels Conway. This is VERY one sided. Rain gets some shots in but this is mostly Jack ripping him apart. Rain finally dodges the Jack splash, Jack blocks the rainmaker, rain blocks the uranage…back and forth until Rain rams Jack into the post and rolls him up. Jack could have kicked out…but Rain uses the ropes and the ref misses it entirely. Rain….wins?!?

It’s time for Brett Ryan Gosselin to come and brag about how he ended Pedro Dones’ time at Open. He brags. We hate it. Jake Gray comes out to defend Dones’ honor and gets in BRG’s face. Brett’s laughs it off and says if Handyman wants a piece, he has to get through an opponent. Luckily, Oxx is off tonight so…it’s Nick Robles

Match 2: Jake Gray vs Nick Robles (w/ BRG)

BRG plays the cowbell outside the ring like a 13-year old who found his dad’s hidden magazines. It’s intense. Jake is doing great until Brett takes a break and yanks on Jake’s leg. Gray eats some damage, makes the comeback and taps out Robles with a guillotine. Brett is UNHAPPY. 

Match 3: Lauren St James vs Nessa Ferrari (w/ Amity Levay) 

If Lauren wins, she gets a match with Amity Levay to get payback on the attack endured last week. The match is back and forth as Amity snarls and yells from the outside. Lauren finally gets a roll on and hits a bulldog for the three! 

Unfortunately, that match with Amity is RIGHT NOW. Lauren celebrates and Levay immediately blindsides her. 

Match 4: Lauren St James vs Amity Levay

Amity puts a beating on Lauren for about a minute. She goes for the Widow’s peak but Lauren rolls through and gets the three!!! Lauren just won two matches in a row!!!

Match 5: TJ Crawford vs Danny Cabral

David has such a good chance that he didn’t even get a televised entrance. TJ quickly puts the lights out with a head kick. He grabs the kid by the hair and lays in kick after kick after kick until ref bill has to pull him off. TJ wins by stoppage in a rare pure squash at Open. 

Match 6: Sloane Jacobs vs Jordan Blade (Women’s Wrestling Open Title Tournament Opening Round)

It’s official. Notorious Mimi’s WWE name has transferred to the indies. Sloane trying to out work Blade but Jordan displays her superior groundwork early. Jacobs posts Jordan and twists up her arms in the ropes. Can’t grapple with trashed limbs.blade throws some Chops but they are already weaker than before. Sloane wearing Blade down further but completely whiffs a top rope splash. Blade with a German! Huuuge saito suplex for two! Mimi jacks the shoulder and goes for the armbar. Blade out! She snatches on an ankle lock and SLOANE JACOBS TAPS OUT!!!! Huge upset here! 

Match 7: Gabby Forza vs Tiara James (Women’s Wrestling Open Title Tournament Opening Round)

Tiara is all top tier confidence but Gabby is tearing her up. Tiara resorts to a back shot and hair pull to get the advantage. Gabby drags her into a rear naked choke. Tiara escapes and tries to take Gnomie’s legs out. Gabby trying to explode out of this but she can’t move fast enough. Gabby finally finds herself in the right position, steals a page out of Bear Bronson’s book and crushes Tiara with a seated senton! The knee almost gives away but Gabby powers her up with a huge fallaway slam! Vader bomb! Tiara kicks out! James stuck in a tree of woe…Gabby misses a dropkick! Tiara with a meteora! Gabby kicks out! Tiara tries another…Gabby spears her out of the air for the three!!!

Match 8: DJ Powers vs Lio Rush

Lio is full on 2026 Blackheart madness  and DJ is definitely NOT scared. Definitely not. Lio agrees that DJ is very moist. Powers doesn’t know what to do. Lio chases him around the ring. DJ finally blindsides him when the mad part gets distracted by stealing DJ’s ring shirt. Lio posted and choked…but Lio is gibbering and laughing as Powers unloads his biggest weapons. Quick bursts from Rush could put DJ down if he kept them up. Rush chomping at the digits as DJ tries to hold him down. Rush misses the Frogsplash and eats a claymore. Powers hits the top rope splash! Kick out! Lio hits a rolling headkick…spear….the Frogsplash connects! DJ kicks out! Rush grabs a cravat…a pair of neck breakers from the cravat! Lio with a giant claw! A capo kick shoots DJ off the apron and he leaps through the ropes at him! Lio drags him back, hits a stunner and puts on a cattle mutilation until Powers goes to sleep! This ruled. 

We’re gearing up for our main event but here’s Dustin Waller. He’s one half of Monday’s tournament final for the Wrestling Open. “What happened to Wrestling Open?” He rips into the Worcester crowd for  drinking and talking and otherwise disrespecting him. He promises that when he wins on Monday, the title will NEVER grace the White Eagle again. Sammy Diaz comes out. He asks why Dustin is so grumpy. He’s WORRIED about Dustin right now. This ain’t the Flash he knows. Waller says he appreciates Sammy checking him like this. And then he takes a verbal shot at Sammy’s father and they go right into the pull apart brawl! The lockerroom pull them apart, Waller runs away, Sammy grabs the mic and says that Mani Ariez isn’t cleared to wrestle right now but he has some tag titles to win and a real brother is stepping up to help: ICHIBAN!

Main Event: Stetson Ranch (Steven Stetson & Brian Morris) vs Ichiban & Sammy Diaz (for the Wrestling Open tag team championships)

Well, Worcester got a lot of good results tonight so here comes the Stetson Ranch to wreck our vibe. Ichiban & Sammy fly out of the ring! They throw in Morris for the kill shot but Stetson pulls Him out before the three count! Sammy takes it right to the Jersey cowboy! Morris recovers and pulls the leg from the outside and the Ranch takes right over. This is a super fast pace we started at. Diaz takes a beating but Ichi gets the hot tag. The 111 connects but Diaz is rekt on the floor…the numbers game overtakes Ichi with a midnight special. Stetson taunts the crowd as the ranch puts the boots to number one. Morris accidentally posts Stetson! Tornadoes to the cowboy! Tag to Sammy! Pele kicks to the ranch! Enziguri after enziguri! They try to double team Sammy but Morris is driven into Stetson again! Ichiban flies at Stetson as Sammy hits the Frogsplash on Morris for the…TWO! NOOOOOO! Stetson wipes out Ichiban on the floor. The ranch hits a snake eyes cutter on Diaz. Kickout! Ichiban head kicks Stetson and sends him flying again! Morris eats a rana off the top! Sammy goes for the kill but Dustin Waller runs down and trips him up, letting Morris hit Diaz with a spike Butterfly facebuster. Morris gets the three and the ranch retains. f***. 

Dustin in Sammy’s face. “You think you can put your hands on me and get away with it?” Dustin hits the lethal injection and says “when you wake up, come find me and I’ll slap you around like your father should have”. 

Denver Colorado is MAD about how Diaz just got treated so next week: Sammy teams with Ichiban AND Mani Ariez to face Miracle Generation and THEY can find a partner. Next week we have the other half of the opening round of the women’s title tournament as well! But before that? See you Monday!
