Spotlight Match: Amity Levay vs Vile
It’s a spooky s*** match! This is fun. Amity wins with a Widow’s Peak in about three min. Crowd was into this.
Rain Conway is out here for an open challenge. But he must have not checked who was in town. His challenger? IT’S GAL!
Match 1: Rain Conway vs It’s Gal
To his credit, Raine gives Gal way more of a fight than he expected. It’s enough that Gal has to rollup Rain to get the win instead of landing a big finish. Maybe Conway does have that dog in him?
Match 2: Bobby Casale vs Superfan John Austin
We cheer for Bobby. This is weird. But he has a dominant victory over Austin after he catches his opponent with a HARD chest kick and a Bobbinator puts him down.
Rich Palladino asks him after the match where he sides in the Stetson Ranch drama….”no comment”
Match 3: Valentina Rossi vs Liviyah (Women’s Title Tournament Wild Card Match)
Rossi puts a HURT on Liv and nearly taps here out several times…. but Cranston‘s finest guts through the pain and puts the lights out with a short DDT for the three count.
Match 4: DJ Powers vs Eye Black Jack (chain on a pole match)
There are good matches. There are bad matches. Then, there are CURSED matches. This was that. The structure of the match is kind of what you’d expect from an On A Pole match. They both try to prevent the other from going for the object in questions. This part is pretty good until they have a spot on the buckle and the clasp on the chain BREAKS. The chain lands on the ring apron much earlier than anticipated. To the story’s credit, they battle to the floor while Jake Gray runs into the ring to rehang the chain, to DJ’s dismay. But then it falls again, this time to the floor. DJ grabs the chain and says he COULD use it but opts too hang it back up and make Jack “earn” getting his chain back. And then it falls again. That chain may be a bigger heel than the Stetson Ranch. Jack finally picks up the chain off the ground and…puts it back on the pole and immediately takes it down again. At this point, they’ve just embraced the absurdity of the situation. Of course, then DJ low blows him. Jack recovers from that and returns the shot to Powers….but Rain Conway rushes in and attacks. He holds Jack up while DJ blasts him in the skull with the chain and gets the 1, 2, 3. The execution of this was kind of cursed but the crowd stayed with it and were ENTERTAINED. After the match, Rain gets on the mic and expresses his jealousy of all the treatment Jack has gotten as a graduate of BioPro. Rain is coming to take all of that away and claim his SPOT for himself.
Match 5: The Breadwinner (Cash McGuiness & Patrick Wheatman) vs Waves & Curls (Traevon Jordan & Jaelyn Brandyn)
The Breadwinners aren’t winning this but they took an eight minute thrashing from W&C. They gutted out the match but the Wave Check put them down for the three. I dunno. I like these kids…but mostly I love seeing them getting destroyed.
Match 6: Tiara James vs Lauren St James (Women’s Title Tournament Wild Card)
Before the match, we see LSJ get attacked backstage by Amity Levay. Lauren is clearly in pain but she marches to the ring for her first match in the White Eagle. Tiara is hyper confident and takes shots directly into that injured arm repeatedly. Lauren does start to fire back but Amity Levay runs down and distracts her, letting Tiara hit a double knee to the arm. A drive by split leg drop puts Lauren down for the three.
Amity on the mic says this is what Lauren gets for deciding to come back from injury. And then wrenches Lauren’s arm damn near out of the socket. Lauren is helped out of the room…but the crowd respects the hell out of her effort.
Match 7: Dustin Waller vs Marcus Mathers
Dustin has been putting on banger after banger this year and a clash with The Finest is no exception. They throw everything at each other but they know each other’s move set so well. Dustin finally hits the lethal injection after some shenanigans with the ref and the 1916 puts Marcus down after a 17 minute war. Crazy war. The crowd hates the result but they can’t deny Dustin stood tall.
Main Event: Big Business (Big Bacon Brad Hollister & ???) vs Stetson Ranch (Steven Stetson & Brian Morris) (for the Wrestling Open Tag Team Championships)
Love Doug is on the shelf so who is gonna help Bacon defend the belts??? Bacon is out here with BOTH belts. It seems like there IS a partner but the Ranch attacks Bacon and makes this a handicap match before they can reveal themselves. And…well…if they are there, they stay in the back? Bacon takes a beating but this is far less one sided than the beating the Breadwinners took. Brad shows why he’s held both the tag titles and the main Open championship. At one point, Brad has a half crab on Morris while he strangles Stetson. The ranch powers free and hits a hi-low for the ranch. Despite all of this, Stetson has to resort to raking the eyes to prevent Brad from hitting his tornado jackhammer. They try to nail Brad with the title belts but he turns the tables and blasts Steve out of the ring and hits a superplex for two! Danny Miles is out here looking like he might be here to be the mystery partner? Bobby Casale tries to stop him. But then TJ CRAWFORD comes out and tags in! The crowd pops hard as they make the Big Business pose…and TJ headkicks the lights out of Bacon. Brian Morris looks shocked as he makes the pin and the Stetson Ranch runs away with the titles they just “won”. After the match, TJ pummels Bacon in the ring and everyone boooooooooooos. I didn’t expect this. Especially after everything Big Business has been through.
