5/9 MLW IN CHATTANOOGA, TN SPOILER RESULTS INCLUDING A TITLE CHANGE AND MORE

By JP "Jasper" Prince on 2026-05-11 09:31:00

I attended the MLW Fusion TV taping in Chattanooga this weekend.

The show opened with a 15-man battle royal featuring The Glasgow Boys (The Coffeys & Wolfgang), LaBron Kozone, Diego Hill, Andrew Everett, the debuting Jumbo, Ikuro Kwon, Okumura, Manny Lo, Jesus Rodriguez, the debuting CJ Gallows (son of Doc Gallows), and even Don Gato.  The Glasgow Boys relentlessly targeted CJ Gallows throughout the match, culminating in a brutal post-match beatdown. Jumbo picked up the victory after several impressive eliminations.

Killer Kross came out to welcome Chattanooga to MLW and fire up the crowd, asking who on the roster was ready to step up. He was quickly interrupted by The Skyscrapers, Dijak, Josh Bishop, and Bishop Dyer, leading to a heated confrontation, especially between Kross and Josh Bishop. Referees and Atlas Security had to separate the two sides. Kross then announced he’d face Josh Bishop at Kings of Colosseum.

Joe Coffey defeated LaBron Kozone in a strong back-and-forth contest after outside interference from The Glasgow Boys tipped the scales in Coffey’s favor.

The Good Brothers defeated The Skyscrapers (Dijak & Bishop Dyer) to become the new MLW Tag Team Champions.

ZAMAYA defeated Angélica Risk in a Lightning Match.

Trevor Lee retained the MLW Southern Crown Championship with a great win over Kushida. After the match, Lee dedicated the victory to his newborn daughter. The celebration was cut short when Contra Unit stormed out and assaulted Lee. The attack featured the debut of Brick Savage, who tore through referees, security, ringside staff, and anyone else in his way.

Austin Aries retained the MLW National Openweight Championship in a triple threat match against Averno and Mistico. Aries stole the victory after Mistico took out Averno.

Shotzi defeated Jazzy Yang in an exciting match. Afterward, Lady Frost appeared to confront Shotzi, teasing a future showdown.

Brick Savage defeated Flip Sequoyah in a dominant performance. Following the match, Josef Samael and Savage attacked backstage personnel and even an EMT who was checking on Sequoyah.

Matt Riddle defeated Bishop Dyer via disqualification after interference from Dijak. Killer Kross ran out to make the save but was blindsided by Josh Bishop. Furious, Kross grabbed a microphone and declared that their MLW World Championship match would now be contested under No Disqualification rules.

Templario defeated Diego Hill to retain the MLW Middleweight Championship in an incredible high-flying showcase. The athleticism on display had the crowd absolutely losing their minds.

Lady Frost defeated Corinne Joy. Frost continued the assault after the bell until Shotzi ran out to make the save. Frost backed away while staring down Shotzi from the aisle.

Big Damo defeated Andrew Everett.

In the main event, Killer Kross retained the MLW Championship by submitting Josh Bishop in an absolutely wild No DQ match. The brutal fight featured heavy strikes, fire extinguishers, both men bleeding, and destruction all around ringside, including the ring canvas being ripped up. After a vicious back-and-forth battle, Kross finally locked in the Kross Jacket rear naked choke, putting Bishop to sleep before the referee called for the bell.  Still covered in blood after the match, Kross thanked the crowd on the microphone as fans loudly chanted, “Please come back!”

Overall, it was an outstanding show with great wrestling, a hot crowd, and nonstop energy throughout the night.

The event was sold out.  Friends arriving at the venue were told there were no tickets left available at the door.

No word when they will return but this was an enjoyable night, so hopefully soon.
