WWE Hall of Famer Bill Golderg appeared as as special guest today in Long Island, NY at The Town of Hempstead Spring Dust-Off Car Show, signing for free as part of the event.
During the event, Goldberg was visited by a New York Firefighter he had met at Ground Zero while visiting the site in 2001 in the aftermath of 9/11.
When the firefighter showed Goldberg a photo of them together from Ground Zero, Goldberg was surprised and immediately embraced the firefighter for a long time, then told the crowd around them that the firefighter was one of the heroes from Ground Zero and to give him a standing ovation, which the audience did.
Goldberg spent several minutes speaking with the firefighter before exchanging phone numbers with him so they could stay in touch. It was the first time they had seen each other since that day in 2001. We were told it was a really nice, emotional moment.
Goldberg was brought in as a special guest for the event and promoted his Goldberg's Garage, bringing a special muscle car to display as well.
