5/1 TNA XPLOSION ON TNA+ REPORT

By Mike Johnson on 2026-05-03 00:53:00

Welcome to the PWInsider.com TNA Xplosion report!

Elayna Black vs. Sophia Rose

Rose was billed from Cleveland, Ohio.  They noted she suffered a stroke at 19 that cost her part of her hearing but she is still competing and fighting.  Rose, a black belt in karate, looked strong early, which sent Black to the floor.  She snapped Rose through the ropes, then choked her against them.  Black drilled her with an elbow to the back for a two count.  Black used the ropes to leap into a stomp for a two count.  Black locked in a side chinlock but Rose battled back, escaping before being caught with a kick to the gut and being hit with The Blackout for the pin.

Your winner, Elayna Black!

They showed highlights of Frankie Kazarian vs. Elijah from this past week's TNA Impact.

Slammiversary 2025: TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions Alisha Edwards & Masha Slamovich vs. Spitfire (Original recap by Matt ten-Hoeve)

Masha Slamovich and Jody Threat start things off. They get in each other’s faces until Masha brings Threat down. Jody reverses it, though, and grabs an arm lock. We get another couple of reversals until Threat kicks Masha off of her.

Alisha Edwards and Dana Luna are tagged in. They lock up, but Luna quickly throws Alisha down. Alisha tries to grab Luna from behind, but Luna disposes of her easily. Alisha goes for some strikes, but Luna shakes them off and is able to drive Alisha down to the mat. Jody Threat is tagged in.

Luna and Threat hit Alisha with a series of strikes and then lift her for a double subplex. Masha has seen enough and rushes in. Luna and Threat double team her, though, as well. The ref finally gets Threat out and Alisha is able to get a strike on Luna. Luna runs the ropes and Masha trips her.

Masha tags in and Luna is now double teamed by Alisha and Masha. Masha gets a two count. Masha gets some vicious kicks in on Luna - her back and chest - for a two count. Luna fights back and staggers Masha, but Masha gets a kick in with Luna on the ropes. Masha brings Alisha back in and Luna is in the opposing corner. It doesn’t look good for her, but she fights out of it and gets to Threat for the tag.

Threat comes in like a house on fire and lays out the tag champs. She trips up both opponents into the ropes and jumps onto their back. Threat then hits a German suplex on Masha and a big slam on Alisha. She tries to pin both at the same time and gets a two count.

Luna is tagged back in and Luna and Threat hit a Hart Attack, which Masha breaks up. Alisha attacks Threat’s eyes and Masha drives Threat down into the mat with a Snow Plow. Alisha gets a two count. Masha grabs the tag titles and tries to hit Threat with one of them. She misses and the ref tries to get the belt out of the ring. Threat then charges Masha in the corner and Alisha is able to use the second belt to connect with Threats face. Alisha then hits a Bulldog off the ropes for the win!

Winners and Still Champions: Masha Slamovich and Alisha Edwards

The number one Don West Trending Topic of the week was Broken Matt Hardy appearing on Impact.

John Skyler vs. Orion

Skyler was in control early but was nailed with several forearms and a dropkick to the face.  Skyler was covered but kicked out at one.  Skyer acted hurt but used that to attack Orion from behind.  Skyler choked him against the ropes, allowing Tasha Steelz to nail Orion from the floor.  Skyler nailed a short arm clothesline.  Skyler worked him over with a side headlock.  Orion came back with a jawbreaker.  He nailed several clotheslines and a kick to the Mid-section, then drill him with a Flatliner and a flying forearm for a two count.   Skyler caught him with a slingshot spear and scored the pin.

Your winner, John Skyler!
