ALL TIME GREAT TAG TEAM GONE FROM WWE

WWE has released The New Day, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston, PWInsider.com has learned, effectively ending the run of one of the company's greatest tag team acts of all time.  They have already been moved to the Alumni section of WWE

Kingston, a former WWE Champion, signed with the company for in 2006 after being scouted by Mike Bucci.  He had a long run as a singles time before the team even formed and was one of the longest running talents for the company.

Xavier Woods, who had been out rehabbing a shoulder issue, signed in 2010 after a run in TNA as Consequences Creed.

One of the most popular and decorated teams in WWE history, New Day holds the record with seven Smackdown Tag Team title reigns and were also, at 483 days, the longest reigning Raw Tag Team Champions ever.  They held 13 WWE titles overall between the main roster and NXT.

There is zero doubt they had a Hall of Fame worthy run.  Out of all of the recent WWE exits, this may be the most shocking.
