4/26 NJPW ROAD TO WRESTLING DONTAKU RESULTS FROM SAGA, JAPAN

1 - Taisei Nakahara, Master Wato, YOH and Shota Umino vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru, SHO, Yujiro Takahashi and Chase Owens

SHO forces Nakahara to submit to a Boston Crab.

Despite the loss, Umino still makes it a point to take photos with fans and greet children  in the crowd.

2 - Tomoaki Honma and Toru Yano vs. OSKAR and Yuto-Ice

Knockout Brothers hit the KOB on Honma and OSKAR gets the pin.

3 - Masatora Yasuda, Ryusuke Taguchi, Taichi and Yuya Uemura vs. Kosei Fujita, Robbie Eagles, Hartley Jackson and Ryohei Oiwa

Fujita pins Yasuda with a Bridging German Suplex.

4 - Tatsuya Matsumoto, YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto cs. Jakob Austin Young, Great O-Khan and HENARE

Young hits Another One Bites the Dust on Matsumoto and gets the pin.

Young has been picking up wins in tag matches, which gives him momentum going into the Best of the Super Jr.

5 - Mistico, Aaron Wolf and Boltin Oleg vs. Dick Togo, Don Fale and Ren Narita

Mistico takes down Togo with La Mistica and applies an arm bar.   Togo submits.

6 - Robbie X, Taiji Ishimori, Yota Tsuji and Shingo Takagi vs. Zane Jay, Francesco Akira, Jake Lee and Callum Newman

Newman hits Kiss the Crown on Robbie X and follows with Made in Essex (Japan).   Newman pins Robbie X.

After the match Newman lays out Takagi with an Oscutter 2.0.

7 - IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship - Lumberjack Deathmatch:  DOUKI vs. Tiger Mask

They played a nice video of the original Tiger Mask and the current Tiger Mask, who will be retiring on July 7, 2026.

All of Hontai come to the ring with Tiger Mask.    All of House of Torture come to the ring with DOUKI.  All will be lumberjacks in this match.  SHO and YOH join the Japanese commentary team.

DOUKI tries several times to take off Tiger Mask's mask.   DOUKI throws Tiger Mask to the House of Torture side of the ring where he gets beaten down.   Tiger Mask hits a tope suicida on DOUKI.  DOUKI tries to escape back to the locker room, but Boltin Oleg and Aaron Wolf stops him and throws him back in the ring.   House of Torture attacks Hontai.   The referee takes a bump.   House of Torture take turns hitting Tiger Mask.   The referee comes to, and the interference stops.  Tiger Mask threw a high kick but DOUKI pulls the referee in the way.  Referee takes a kick in the head and is taken to the back.    Everyone fights in the ring and spills to the floor.   Mistico hits a dive over the top rope on everyone. 

Tiger Mask applies a crossface chicken wing on DOUKI.    House of Torture distracts the referee.  Yujiro Takahashi hits Tiger Mask with his Pimp Stick.   DOUKI applies the Darkness Stretch.   Tiger Mask gets to the ropes.   Tiger Mask applies the crossface chicken wing.   House of Torture tries to get in the ring.   

Hiroshi Tanahashi demands that Hontai take House of Torture back to the locker to stop the interference.   On commentary, SHO hits YOH in the groin.   SHO jumps in the ring and Tiger Mask slaps him in the face.   Tiger Mask blocks a low blow by DOUKI and hits a Tombstone piledriver.  Tiger Mask hits a Tiger Suplex.   SHO pulls the referee out of the ring.   YOH takes SHO out of the ring.   Tiger Mask goes for a Tiger Suplex again but DOUKI reverses out and applies the Darkness Stretch.   Tiger Mask gets to the ropes.    SHO hits Tiger Mask in the head with a metal sheet.  SHO hits YOH with the metal sheet.   DOUKI applies the Darkness Stretch on Tiger Mask again, but Tiger Mask is out cold.   

DOUKI wins when the referee see Tiger Mask is out.

DOUKI retains the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship.

DOUKI demands that Hiroshi Tanahashi put the belt on him.   Tanahashi reluctantly puts the belt on his waist.  

DOUKI's next challenger will come from the Best of the Super Jr. starting later this month.

New Japan returns for a two night event, Wrestling Dontaku 2026 on May 3 and 4.
