4/26 NJPW ROAD TO WRESTLING DONTAKU RESULTS FROM YAMAGUCHI, JAPAN

From Yamaguchi, Japan:

The arena is dark.   I am not sure if it is a full house or not.

1 - Daiki Nagai vs. Taisei Nakahara

Nagai forces Nakahara to submit to a Boston Crab.

2 - Toru Yano and Togi Makabe vs. OSKAR and Yuto-Ice

Knockout Brothers hit The Rumbling on Makabe.    OSKAR pins Makabe.

3 - YOH, Tomoaki Honma and Shota Umino vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Yujiro Takahashi and Chase Owens

Takahashi pins Honma after hitting Pimp Juice.

Owens and Umino brawl into the crowd after the match.

Chase Owens is the next challenger for the Konosuke Takeshita's NJPW TV Title.   However, Takeshita does not appear on tours with the rest of the New Japan roster.   When the Champion does not appear, it does diminish the importance of the belt.

4 - Tatsuya Matsumoto, YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto vs. Jakob Austin Young, Great O-Khan and HENARE

Young hits Another One Bites the Dust on Matsumoto and gets the pin.

5 - Masatora Yasuda, Ryusuke Taguchi, Taichi and Yuya Uemura vs. Kosei Fujita, Robbie Eagles, Hartley Jackson and Ryohei Oiwa

Eagles and Fujita hit a Sweet Buster on Yasuda.  Eagles pins Yasuda.

6 - Master Wato, Tiger Mask, Aaron Wolf and Boltin Oleg vs. SHO, DOUKI, Don Fale and Ren Narita

Another wild brawl.  All of House of Torture interferes.  DOUKI rips off Tiger Mask's mask again.  Hontai comes out to make the save.   They protect Tiger Mask and give him another mask to protect his face.  The referee disqualifies both teams.

New Japan is doing well to build up Tiger Mask vs. DOUKI for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship.

7 - Robbie X, Taiji Ishimori, Yota Tsuji and Shingo Takagi vs. Zane Jay, Francesco Akira, Jake Lee and Callum Newman

Takagi hits the Prince's Curse on Jay, then follows with Made in Japan.  Takagi pins Jay.

Newman and Takagi have words after the match.   They will meet for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship in about a week.
