By Mike Johnson on 2026-04-17 04:55:00

Welcome to PWInsider.com's live, ongoing coverage of GCW's MDK Fight Club event from The Horseshoe in Las Vegas!

Pre-Show Notes:

Emil Jay is the ring announcer.

Gotham Wrestling's Todd Kenely is in the house.

Ricky and Kerry Morton were visiting.

No Rope Barbed Wire Match: Slade vs. Dr. Redacted.

The guest ring announcer was Nick Gage, who got a MASSIVE reaction coming out.  He said he was here to bring fans death matches because he loves the fans and he wants to give them some real death match wrestling.  He then said to bring out the first motherf***er in this match, which may be the best ring introduction in the history of pro wrestling.

They went nose to nose and began slugging it out.  They then began nailing headbutts to each other.  Slade tried to throw Redacted into the barbed wire but Redacted saved himself.  He tossed Slade into the barbed wire.  Redacted grabbed a chair and smashed him across the back while he was caught in the barbed wire, then jumped off the chair to splash him while he was still caught up.  Redacted covered him for a two count.

Redacted was tossed into the wire again, then choked against it.  Slade picked up Redacted for a suplex and dropped him across the barbed wire.  He tossed several chairs into the ring.  They battled on the floor.  Redacted scored a two count, then placed Slade against the barbed wire.  He dove off a chair but Slade moved and Redacted crashed into the barbed wire.  Redacted was sent through the wire to the floor.  Ouch.

They returned to the ring, where Redacted drilled Slade with a Sabu chair toss to the face.  Redacted wrapped barbed wire around his arm and drilled him with it.  Slade came back to decimate Redacted over and over with chairs to the back.  He chokeslammed him out of the ring through a barbed wire door set up outside.  Slade brought him back in and scored the pin.

Your winner, Slade!

As you might imagine, it was pretty brutal.

They are taking apart the barbed wire as they played video features on all the main events for tomorrow's Spring Break Show.

Megumi Kudo was brought to the ring to be inducted into The Death Match Hall of Fame.  They aired a nice video with highlights of her career.  They noted after her All Japan Women run, she became a kindergarden teacher.  Atsushi Onita formed FMW and recruited her.  She became the face of the promotion, a recording artist and an actress.  They noted she inspired the veterebreaker with the Kudo Driver.  She competed in barbed wire electrified matches and retired in 1997 and remained retired still to this day.  Emil Jay thanked her on behalf of fans from around the world and inducted her into the Hall of Fame.

Kudo said hello to the fans and said it has been 30 years since she retired.  She never thought she'd be here with the fans today but she's so excited to be here and thanked the fans for having her.

Emil asked Kudo to remain as he introduced the next match's competitors

Vipress vs. Rina Yamashita vs. Charli Evans

All the competitors posed with Kido before the bell.

Everyone battled.  The crowd was super into Rina early.  She nailed some big forearm shots.  Rina and Vipress wielded chairs, attacking each other.  Rina got the better of the exchange as the audience chanted for her.  Charlie returned to the fray, attacking Vipress.  Rina faced off with each of them.  They all flung chairs at each other with Rina winning that war.   A door was brought into the battle.  Rina tried to put Charli through it.  She was knocked out of the ring.  Vipress put Charli through the door, drilled her with a running knee and hit a piledriver for the pin.

Your winner, Vipress!

GCW Utraviolent Champion Otis vs. Toby Klein

They threw down immediately.  Trash cans were brought into the equation.  They beat each other with one outside the ring on the floor.  You know, like a normal 1:20 AM in Vegas.  Otis drilled Klein with punches on the outisde and ripped at his face.  Klein returned to the ring.  Otis followed but was caught with an elbow as he entered.  Klein scored a two count.  Otis was drilled across the back with a steel chair.  He pulled out a weapon and carved Otis' forehead.  They sat in chairs and punched the hell out of each other.  Otis made a comeback and now it was Toby's turn to be mauled with a weapon.  Otis smashed Klein with a chair across the head and pinned him.

Your winner and still GCW Ultraviolent Champion, Otis!

Hayabusa & Masato Tanaka vs. Bear Bronson & Mr. Danger.

For the unaware, this is the new Hayabusa who has been wrestling in Japan recently.

Bear and Tanaka started out and exchanged power moves, testing each other.  Tanaka attempted a sunset flip but Bear dropped down and squashed him.  Hayabusa and Danger tagged in and the momentum sped up.  Hayabusa hit a flip dive to the outside.  Danger hit an Asai Moonsault to the floor.  Back in the ring, Bear smashed Hayabusa into the buckles and drilled him with chops.  He came off the ropes with an elbow for a two count.

Danger tagged in and worked over Hayabusa, locking in a side headlock.  Bear tagged in and drilled a boot to the face.  Bear nailed and over the shoulder powerslam for a two count.  He knocked Tanaka off the apron.   Hayabusa mounted a comeback but Bear drilled him down to the mat.  A table was set up in the corner.  He tried to send Hayabusa into the table but Hayabusa stopped himself and hit a rana, sending Beat into it.  Tanaka tagged in and started cleaning house.  He and Bear squared off, going nose to nose, then slugging it out.

They wielded chairs and faced off again.  Tanaka was hit with a chair and absorbed it, then nailed Bear with it.  He smashed Bear with a roaring forearm.  Hayabusa drilled him with a superkick.   They went into a series of moves culminating with a missile dropkick from Hayabusa on Bear.  The crowd chanted "GCW!"  Danger and Hayabusa battled with Hayabusa nailing a top rope bulldog.  Tanaka nailed Danger and put him on the top rope, then superplexed him into the ring.  Hayabusa came off the top but Bear broke up the pinfall attempt.  Bear nailed Hayabusa.  Danger nailed a springboard legdrop for a two count.

Everyone battled on the floor.  A table was set up outside but apparently broke prematurely (couldn't tell from my vantage point.)  Danger hit a 450 splash off the ropes through another table on the floor.  Danger drilled Hayabusa into the ring but Tanaka broke up the pinfall.  Tanaka and Hayabusa double-teamed Danger.  Danger was hit with a Blue Thunder Bomb.  Hayabusa nailed a phoenix splash and scored the pin.

Your winners, Hayabusa & Masato Tanaka!

A hard fought main event.

Thanks for logging in.  Off to bed for me!
