OBA’S FUTURE, WWE APPEALING TO YOUNGER PEOPLE, NOT EVERYONE MAKES IT TO MANIA AND MORE

After that promo on Raw between Oba Femi and Paul Heyman, wouldn’t it be poetic to have Oba Femi’s (hopeful) win at this Wrestlemania kick off a new undefeated at Wrestlemania streak by beating the “one in twenty-one and one”?   Clearly he doesn’t have the mystique of the Undertaker - yet - but he seems to be on a good start down that path.   Let him get 5 or 6 years worth of wins, then start calling attention to it.

As long as we let it get to five or six years down the road, I am fine with it.  The Streak was a really special thing so I don’t want someone to start talking about their own streak until they have gotten to the point where their career warrants it.  I think it Oba is a strong bet to get there, but you don’t jump the gun when you don’t have to.

I get WWE putting guys like Bad Bunny, Jelly Roll, and even Travis Scott on their shows, because they are among the most successful and recognizable stars in the history of their respective industries.  But iShowSpeed and Lil' Yachty, not so much.  I wouldn't even know who they are if I haven't been watching WWE programming.  Do Speed and Yachty actually attract younger fans (who are clearly their target audience) or mainstream media attention to WWE in any significant or measurable way?

You said it yourself, you are older.  I wouldn’t know those two either but younger people do and TKO is all about connecting with social media, influencers, etc.  They love it and honestly, they know more about that stuff than I do!

Is Will Ospreay trying to cripple himself ? He just had neck surgery and takes a dragon suplex that landed him on top of his head and then a jumping like driver on the steps. Where is AEW management saying no to these spots ?

It does seem that way at times, doesn’t it?  I don’t think he is trying to maim himself, I just think that is the style of wrestling that he likes to do and taking chances is part of the deal.  I am with you though, if I were Tony Khan I would have a lot of the excess stuff cut back.  That doesn’t mean that talents can’t do it, but it should be saved for special occasions not done on every TV show.  The benefit would be twofold.  One, it saves wear and tear on the wrestlers and two, it would make the super big spots more special.  But, I don’t see them changing.

I'm surprised that WWE couldn't find time for Iyo vs. Asuka at WM, especially since the Kabuki Warriors won't be a part of the Tag Title 4-way. And couldn't they have Guilia defending the US title against Tiffany Stratton and/or Chelsea Green the other night? What's wrong with one more match each night?

Clearly, it’s not what Paul Levesque wants, and honestly, I agree with him.  Iyo and Asuka is Mania worthy, for sure.  It could have been that they kept that one in their back pocket in case of an injury and needing a replacement match.  Stratton and Guilia?  I like both but not everyone gets on Mania and they aren’t in big programs right now.
