CM Punk is among the many walkers at the start of the show, and while he is announced for later in the show, the champion decides to change up the format for the show.
CM Punk makes his way to the ring.
Punk sits down in the ring and that allows the crowd to chant for one of two people.
Punk says that Houston is a wrestling town. There is a lot of pro wrestling history. Punk says he has had some great moments in this ring and there are ghosts of things that should have happened. This is Paul Bosch Country. He loves to hear about the old timers. Can't help but to compare yourself and wonder how would they handle this things. What would Harley Race do. Dreams are nice, but it is when you are awake.
Punk says he is awake and he asks the question he always asks. Roman Reigns is not here tonight. Punk says two weeks ago, with help from his cousins, he put him through the announce table with a power bomb. He strolled out like he was the king of the world. Punk says he couldn't wait to get revenge. He showed up at MSG, cousin less, with his title belt and he got revenge. He put Roman through the announce table, alone. Roman says he hates him. He says good. If Roman hates him, he is exactly where he should be. He is fraud checking goofs. Being hated by losers in the price he pays for not being one of them.
Punk puts the title belt on the table and he tells the crowd to keep chanting for Roman and he might show up. Punk says he showed up and he is an old man. Old, not weak. Punk says Roman hates him and he knows why. Punk says he wanted to explain to everyone who bothered to show up tonight, why he hates Roman Reigns.
Punk gets on the announce table. Wrestlemania is the biggest show of the year. We both have the tools to climb to the top of the ladder in this sport. His tools are man made and sharpened through hard work and spite. Your tools are store bought and handed to you. They are plastic. Punk says he was too young and stupid to understand. Now he is too old and rich to bother. You are sent to Jimmy Fallon because you are safe, boring, and saccharine. Punk says he is dangerous because you don't know what he is going to say. Punk says he can film a dozen movies and not miss a day, but you use it as a crutch and then the people boo him because you aren't here.
When you bother to show up, you arrive late and leave early. You puff your chest out like you are The Rock. At least the Rock is a Hollywood superstar. Punk says Rock was a superstar. Punk says his bloated cousin isn't on the board of directors. I don't surround myself to keep me away from the truth. My daddy didn't give me a favored job because I sucked at football. I got everything by fighting for it and you are a buck toothed man who ate dog food for a weird old man.
That weird old man treated me like a dog and expected me to smile. I had F-You money and decided to leave. You cannot control me like you control your cousins.
Punk asks if we are having fun yet. Be careful what you wish for when you give him a pipe bomb without understanding what it means.
Punk says Roman can brag about how many times you can be in the main event, but if you had as many opportunities and sucked so bad for the first eight times, they would be fired or blackballed. Punk says he can stand on the bridge and blow it up because, bitch, I can swim.
Punk says he is giving it to everyone tonight. Pat McAfee. You buggy whipped no armed hillbilly. You think you can come to his business and talk trash. You cashed a check you couldn't cash. Call your fool agent to tell him to lower the ticket prices if you want to complain about ticket sales. He won't have someone who kicked a football for a living about putting asses in the seats.
Lower the ticket prices because he wants all of these families to stand on Roman's throat at Wrestlemania.
We take a look at what happened this week with IShowSpeed.
Speed asks Danhausen to end the curse. He mentions what happened.
Danhausen says he can cancel the curse if he gives him his house.
Pearce shows up and he asks what is he doing here.
Speed says he knows he cost the Usos, but he needs some advice.
Pearce tells Speed to go home.
Austin and Logan show up and tell Speed not to listen to Dr. Evil.
Logan says what Knight did was unforgivable.
Speed says he is going.
Logan says that the Usos, Knight, and everyone hate him. Logan says Speed is safe with them.
Match Number One: Austin Theory versus LA Knight
They lock up and Knight pushes Theory into the turnbuckles. They lock up again and Theory sends Knight to the mat. Knight with a hip toss and slam. Knight with another slam and Theory goes to the floor. Theory returns to the ring and they lock up. Theory punches Knight in the corner and then into the turnbuckles. Theory with back elbows. Theory with a suplex for a near fall. Theory with an Irish whip and Knight with a clothesline out of the corner. Theory goes to the floor and he hits a drop kick through the ropes. Knight clotheslines Theory over the ringside barrier and Knight poses. Knight sensd Theory back over the ringside barrier. Theory sends Knight into the ring post and then Theory poses on the ringside barrier. Theory sends Knight's head into the apron.
They return to the ring and Knight with punches. Theory with an Irish whip and clothesline into the corner. Theory with a punch. Theory chokes Knight in the ropes. Knight with punches and a shoulder tackles. Knight with a sunset flip for a near fall. Theory with a back elbow. Theory punches Knight a few times. Knight blocks a few suplex attempts. They go back and forth with suplex attempts and Knight lands on his feet and hits a neck breaker because you don't suplex Matt Cardona. Knight with punches and a flying clothesline. Knight with a side Russian leg sweep and he sends Theory into the turnbuckles and hits a leaping neck breaker for a near fall.
Theory with a punch and a rolling blockbuster for a near fall. Theory gets Knight on his shoulders but Knight escapes and he clotheslines Theory over the top rope to the floor. Knight goes to the floor and he looks at Logan. Knight sends Theory's head into the announce table a number of times. Logan distracts Knight and then he has some words for Speed. Knight sends Theory back into the ring and Logan pushes Speed into Knight against the apron.
Knight goes after Speed and chases him up the aisle.
The Usos' music plays and Speed is screwed.
Speed leaps over Knight and ges into th ring and Knight grabs Speed. Logan gets on the apron and Knight clotheslines him off the apron. Theory with a rollup and a handful of tights for the three count.
Winner: Austin Theory
After the match, Speed is alone in the ring with Knight and the Usos. Speed says he didn't do anything.
Jey grabs Speed and Jimmy tells him to do it and they set for 1D but Logan pulls Speed to safety.
Knight takes a mic.
He tells them not to go anywhere. He wants Pearce to come out as well.
He says you look at the men in the ring with him and they got screwed out of their titles by Speed. Then Speed costs him his match against Austin Theory. Knight says he has the perfect place for a match this big. He says he is talking about Wresetlemania. Logan Paul, Austin Theory, and IShowSpeed versus The Usos and him.
Pearce is on the stage and he looks around and he asks Knight if he wants a six man tag match a Wrestlemania. Pearce asks Logan if he is willing to do it. Pearce says Speed should have stayed home, but now you are going to Wrestlemania.
It is time to look at what happened with Pat McAfee. Cole says he was disappointed with what happened on Smackdown.
We take a look back at what happened with Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton on Smackdown.
We see Kofi Kingston and Grayson Waller arguing while Finn Balor walks.
Jackie Redmond is with the Americanos.
Rayo says no Americanos at Wrestlemania? You made a big mistake. Bravo talks about their opponents tonight. Grande says without a Grande Americano, the IC Title match is a disgrace. They should do something about it.
Match Number Two: Finn Balor versus JD McDonagh
Dominik Mysterio attacks Finn from behind and he does the Finn pose. Finn punches Dom and he kicks JD and sends JD into the ring post. Finn punches Dom and he sends Dom into the ring. Finn with a back elbow to Dom and he kicks Dom. Finn kicks JD and sends him over the top rope tot he floor. Dom hits Finn from behind with his title belt. JD hands Dom a chair and he hits Finn in the back with the chair. JD kicks Finn and then Dom puts the chair on Finn. Dom points to the Mania sign.
We have a video package for AJ Lee.
Michael says she is a trailblazer and says he cannot believe he is sitting across with her in her first Wrestlemania match in 12 years.
Becky interrupts and insults Cole for asking softball questions.
Cole tells Becky he doesn't need it and he leaves.
Becky says what he said that was right is that she can't believe she is sitting here.
Becky asks if AJ reminds her about the last Wrestlemania she saw her. You acted with your fakeness. You saw your replacement. You quit the next day because she knew Becky was coming. Becky says she won't have the home field advantage at Mania.
AJ tells Becky to underestimate her. She says she is proud of Becky. She says she is proud of what Becky did for the locker room and industry. Nothing happens because of her becuase of the glass ceilings she broke. She is not replaceable. Ten years away, they kept callling. The fans didn't forget her. She knows who she is. She is the Intercontinental Champion. She tells Becky when she tucks her girl to bed and you ask her who her favorite wrestler is, she won't say your name. She will say AJ Lee.
AJ leaves and Becky acts angry.
Match Number Two: Bayley versus Lash Legend
They lock up and Lash sends Bayley tot he floor and Nia has some words for Bayley. Bayley gets back into the ring and she kicks Lash. Lash pushes Bayley away. Lash misses a splash into the corner and Bayley with punches. Lash sends Bayley tot he apron and Bayley with knee lifts. Bayley goes to the turnbuckles and is met with a chop when she comes off. Lash with a bicycle kick and Bayley goes to the floor. Lash sends Bayley into the announce table. Lash sends Bayley into the ring post. They return to the ring. Lash kicks Bayley and hits a splash for a near fall. Lash with forearms. Bayley with forearms and Lash with an Irish whip and Bayley goes for a rollup but Lash does not go over and Lash with a kick and she slams Bayley's head into the mat. Lash with a shoulder tackle or three.
Lash gets a near fall. Lash with a front face lock. Bayley with a cutter in the ropes followed by kicks. Bayley goes for the sunset flip power bomb but Lash blocks it and she sends Bayley into the turnbuckles and hits a uranage back breaker for a near fall. Bayley blocks a power bomb and counters with a rana. Lash gets a near fall. Lash misses a splash and Bayley with forearms. Lash misses a bicycle kick and gets caught in the ropes. Bayley with a kick and drop kick to send Lash into the corner. Bayley with a knee and then she hits an elbow drop to the back of the neck for a near fall. Nia trips Bayley when the referee wasn't looking. Lash goes for a shoulder in the corner but Bayley moves and Lash hits the ring post. Nia catches Lyra and runs her into the apron.
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss attack Nia.
Bayley with a cross body onto Nia, Charlotte, and Alexa.
Lash with a forearm to Bayley on the turnbuckles. Lash goes to the turnbuckles and sets for a superplex. Lyra grabs the ankle on the superplex and when Bayley floats over, Lyra holds the leg to allow Bayley to get the three count.
Winner: Bayley
We take a look back at what happened with Paul Heyman, Seth Rollins, and Gunther.
Michael Cole mentions this is the first Wrestlemania without Hulk Hogan. He mentions the Netflix documentary.
Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring.
Seth says he has been gone for six months and he has waited to come down that aisle to hear you sing his song.
Seth says he is back. In less than two weeks, he goes one on one with Gunther. He says he is trying to put the pieces together to figure out how they got here. There is no long history or personal issue between him and Gunther. Over the past week, he has been running through his head and the only logical conclusion is that Gunther entered into a business relationship with Paul Heyman. Seth says he has two missions in his head. One is to take back the title he never lost. The second is to kill The Vision. Logan and Austin are in some blood feud with the Samoans and that won't end well. Breakker and Reed on the shelf. Paul left to his own defense, he had to find someone to protect him. He put Brock on a silver platter for Oba Femi.
Seth says Oba is the future, but he doesn't want to talk about the future.
Gunther, if you are listening to him. if it is your purpose to maintain a business relationship with Paul Heyman and be a shield for Paul, this may be business for you, but you have made it personal for him.
Gunther comes up from behind and he tries to put Gunther in a sleeper but Seth reverses. Seth misses Black out but kicks Gunther to the floor. Gunther catches Seth on a suicide dive and Gunther sends him over the announce table. Seth goes after Gunther. Officials grab Seth and Gunther gets in a shot on Seth.
Gunther walks through the back and he stops to smile with Paul Heyman.
Paul says he doesn't know why you did what you did at Madison Square Garden because there is nothing personal between you and Seth so, Paul says he owes Gunther a very big thank you.
Gunther says it is personal to Seth because it is personal to him as well. Gunther shakes Paul's hand and he pulls him close and he tells Paul that Paul owes him so much more than a very big thank you.
We take a look at what happened last week between Liv and Stephanie.
Stephanie Vaque says if you are stupid enough to make jokes about her mother. If you want to play dirty, she will play dirty. You are a brainless bitch who talks a lot and says nothing. You need to settle your daddy issues with Dom. She is here to inspire women every to forge their own path. You won't see it coming from her and that goes for Roxanne as well. You will never get your hands on the women's championship. She is taking Liv to where no one can follow.
Match Number Three: Penta, Je'Von Evans, and Dragon Lee versus El Grande Americano, Rayo Americano, and Bravo Americano
Bravo with a side head lock on Lee and they exchange shoulder tackles. Lee with a head scissors to Bravo. Lee gets Bravo up but Bravo gets back ot his feet. Lee avoids an O'Connor Roll and Rayo tags in and he kicks Lee and dances. Evans tags in and he hits a drop kick and a jumping cutter. Evans with a slingshot head scissors. Grande tags in and he sends Evans face first into the mat and kicks him. Rayo and Bravo pull Penta and Lee off the turnbuckles and it is time on Raw when we dance. Evans with a cross body. Lee and Penta with a double super kick. Evans with a plancha and Lee with a suicide dive. Penta with a flp dive.
Penta and Grande are the legal men in the match and they lock up. Grande with a clean break and then he goes for the leg and punches Penta and then gets on top of Penta for more punches. Penta with a kick and Lee and Rayo tag in. They exchange kicks and Lee escapes an X Plex attempt. Bravo tags in and so does Evans. Evans with jabs. Bravo sends Evans into the air and kicks him in the ribs. BRavo with punches and then Rayo tags in and they make a wish. Rayo with a chop and punch. Grande tags in and he kicks Evans in the corner. Grande with a short arm clothesline for a near fall. Evans and Grande are down and Rayo and Penta tag in. Penta with a kick and a wrap around bulldog. Penta with a back breaker to Bravo. Penta with a double DDT to Rayo and Bravo. Lee tags in and hits a hesitation drop kick on Rayo. Lee sets for a Styles Clash but Rayo makes the save. Grande with a head butt to Lee. Rayo tags in and hits a diving head butt. Bravo with a diving head butt for a near fall.
Grande with an enzuigiri to Penta. Evans with a rebound round kick on Grande. Rayo stops Evans on a cutter. Lee with a double stomp on Rayo and a Styles Clash on Bravo. Evans tags in and they hit super kicks on Rayo and Grande. Lee with the leaping rana over the top rope to the floor. Penta with a destroyer on the apron to Rayo. Evans with a double jump cutter on Bravo for the three count.
Winners: Penta, Je'Von Evans, and Dragon Lee
After the match, Rey Mysterio's music plays and he makes his way to the ring.
Rey asks how everyone is. He says he had to come out to say how cool it has been to see Penta's journey. He mentions the ladder match has the potential to be one of the greatest ladder matches. Last year he missed Wrestlemania due to an injury. He talked to Pearce and they talked about how the match is missing one person . . . Rey Mysterio.
Penta tells Rey let's make history.
We take a look back at what Cody had to say on Smackdown.
Iyo and Rhea are in the back and they hug while behind them, we see Maxxine Dupri talking to Austin Theory.
Cathy Kelley is in the Interstitial Platform Area with Bayley and Lyra.
She asks Bayley about the win tonight.
Lyra asks if they have everyone's attention. What you saw tonight is a taste of what is going to happen at Wrestlemania. They are the biggest threat in the division and they are going to win the titles.
Bayley says we know how much those titles mean to her. They will do whatever it takes. They are tired of sitting in the back and waiting their turn. They don't care who you are because you can call them the future tag team champions.
We take a look back at Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi from last week.
Asuka tells Iyo they were family, but you tried to take everything from her. Your selfishness destroyed the family. Then you tried to rip Kairi apart. I came to WWE to pave the way for you and Kairi. She says she sacrificed everything to give you the best opportunities. She says she never expected Iyo to thank her. She did it for love, and she loved Iyo too much. You took advantage of my kindness. You used her. Now, you must pay. I will always be your senpai. I will teach you one final lesson in the ring. She says she will take everything away from her.
Match Number Four: Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley versus B-Fab and Michin
Rhea blocks a kick from Fab and Rhea with a clothesline and punches. Rhea with a face buster and a clothesline. Rhea brings Michin into the ring and connects with a thrust kick. Rhea sends Michin to the floor. Fab with a bicycle kick and she punches Rhea. Fab with elbows in the corner. Rhea with a forearm to Fab and Fab with a float over into a DDT for a near fall. Fab with a rear chin lock. Rhea with kicks and Iyo tags in and she hits a victory roll and double stomp on Michin. Michin with an Irish whip and Iyo goes to the apron and she kicks Michin. Iyo drops Fab on the top rope and Iyo goes up top and hits a double missile drop kick and then she flips around and shows her ears. Iyo with a suicide dive to Michin and Fab. Iyo and Michin return to the ring and Michin escapes a slam and she blocks a rana. Michin with a sit out power bomb for a near fall.
Michin with punches and she gets a near fall. Fab tags in and they hit a double suplex and Fab gets a near fall. Fab with an Irish whip and knee in the corner. Fb with an Irish whip and knee in the corner. Iyo avoids a knee in the corner and gets a near fall with a rollup. Fab gets another near fall. Michin tags in and Michin with a tarantula. Michin gets a near fall. Michin chokes Iyo in the ropes. Fab tags in and she chokes Iyo in the ropes. Fab with a sliding clothesline for a near fall. Iyo with a jaw breaker and Fab stops Iyo from making the tag. Fab with a clothesline and she has some words for Rhea. Fab punches Rhea on the apron and the referee has to hold Rhea back so Michin joins in the attack on Iyo. The referee sees Michin in the ring and while she argues with Fab and Michin, Jade pulls Rhea off the apron.
Michin runs into the ring post and Iyo with a victory roll on Fab for the three count.
Winners: Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley
After the match, Fab, Jade, and Michin attack Iyo. Michin gets a kendo stick and Rhea recovers and goes after Jade. Jade with a bicycle kick. Michin and Fab hold Rhea in the corner and Jade has some words for her.
Jade hits Iyo a few times with the kendo stick. Jade hits Jaded on Iyo.
Finn congratulates Dom and JD for that beating. He says maybe he brought it upon himself. He wanted to do this the easy way and play nice, but he taught them how to play dirty. Play time is over. You only know one side of him. There is a side that he buried a long time ago. A side that he thought was gone forever. You have awakened it and it is back. It is coming for you.
Dom asks everyone what did Finn mean.
JD says they need to worry about your deadbeat dad getting a title match. Dom says JD will bring the IC title back. Dom says he knows how to deal with his deadbeat dad.
Roxanne shows up and Liv needs to talk to her so she asks for Raquel to leave.
Liv thanks Roxanne for everything she did last week. There is an elephant in the room. Liv says she knows that Finn brought her into the group, but he turned his back on them.
Stephanie attacks Liv from behind and sends her into storage cases and a monitor.
Presiding over the contract signing will be Paul Levesque, along with Adam Pearce.
Adam says we have seen the birth of a true clash of the titans at Wrestlemania. It will be between Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi.
Paul Heyman interrupts. He introduces the Conqueror of the Ruler. A ruler who can't measure up to the real main event of Wrestlemania, Brock Lesnar.
Brock does the Brock Bounce.
Out next is Oba Femi.
Brock with a shoulder as Oba enters the ring. Oba sends Brock into the ring post. They go over the table and security comes in the ring to get thrown aside by Brock and Oba. Brock is the first to escape and attack Oba. Oba is free and he goes after Brock. Brock throws a chair at Oba and Oba throws it back.
