Welcome to PWInsider.com's AAA Rey de Reyes Week Three Report from Puebla, Mexico.
JBL, Corey Graves and Rey Mysterio are the announcing team.
AAA Cruiserweight Champion Laredo Kid vs. TJ Perkins vs. Jack Cartwheel vs. Dragon Lee
The action broke down almost immediately, with Laredo getting knocked to the floor while Lee shoulder-blocked Cartwheel. TJP avoided a double dropkick, but both he and Lee ended up outside. Cartwheel made an early impression with a dragon rana on the floor, while Laredo answered with a dive onto TJP. Cartwheel followed with an asai moonsault. TJP cut off a dive from Lee, only to get dropped by Cartwheel’s top-rope dropkick. Laredo connected on a Michinoku Driver and a tornillo for a near fall, while Lee fired back with a German suplex for two. TJP tried to take control by stomping both opponents and briefly locking in a double octopus hold before Cartwheel broke it up and ran wild with kicks and counters. Cartwheel continued to shine, hitting a series of innovative spots including a hilo and a moonsault to the floor. Laredo answered with a DDT Destroyer. TJP was powerbombed by Lee for a near fall, and the action spilled in and out of the ring. The final stretch turned into a full-on sprint of big moves. Cartwheel soared again, TJP looked to steal it with opportunistic offense, and Lee connected with Operation Dragon. TJP followed with a Mamba Splash, but Laredo broke up the count. Laredo finally secured the win by hitting TJP with a curb stomp in the corner.
Your winner, Laredo Kid!
Rey Fenix came out after the match, congratulating Laredo.
Backstage, Flammer was congratulated by Hiedra and Maravilla for becoming the longest-reigning Reina de Reinas Champion. She will have a celebration on 4/11.
El Fiscal vs. Abismo Negro
Fiscal immediately took the fight to Abismo and knocked him to the outside before hitting a tope suicida. Fiscal controlled much of the early action with strikes and corner offense, but Abismo turned things around by trapping him in a Tree of Woe and dropkicking him. Abismo slowed the pace with a chinlock and continued to punish Fiscal. Fiscal rallied with clotheslines and a double-leg takedown, setting up for a martinete, but Abismo countered and targeted the shoulder. Abismo attempted the same, but Fiscal rolled through and scored the pinfall.
Your winner, El Fiscal!
Abismo attacked Fiscal after the match, sending him into the ring steps. Fiscal was carried off.
El Hijo del Vikingo came to the ring with Dorian Roldan and Omos. Dorian criticized the Puebla crowd and praised Vikingo as the best pound-for-pound wrestler in the world. Vikingo ripped on Mini Vikingo, then said he was calling out Penta and wanted to fight him for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania. Penta came out to a big pop. He agreed to face Vikingo on 4/11.
