Wrestling Open

3/26/26 Worcester, MA

Spotlight Match: Will Keidis vs Pedro Dones

Solid match here. We love calling Will “Gomez” and serenading him with the Addams Family theme. Keidis stands out against Pedro’s solid fundamentals. But the power of WE prevails and a running headbutt sends Keidis on his way with a L.

Match 1: Star Struck (Anthony Greene & Channing Thomas) vs The Verdict (Bryce Donovan & Vinny Scalise)

Bryce hates us so he comes through the fire door like he used to. AG is wearing a protective face mask tonight so I expect this to be a mostly World Class affair. To my surprise, it’s AG who goes for a dive and eats a boot to the head. The Verdict swarms on Greene through multiple tags. Thomas gets the hot tag and he runs wild as AG tries to fix his mask. Greene gets the tag in the nick of time as Thomas flies over the top but they bully him and rip off the mask. AG ducks and causes a wipeout. Combo side slam for a near fall. Channing gets crotched on the top and Bryce KO’s Greene with his own face mask to get the three. Boooooooo!

Match 2: Ray Jaz vs Thiccy Riccy

Ric’s legs are called Thunder and Light ing and they ARE thicc. Riccy is awesome to watch. Lots of flips and awesome leg strength. A really cool handstand on Jaz’s back turns into a rollup up. But Jaz? He eats it. And he punishes Riccy. And he stretches those legs. And he slams him into the buckles and the mat. Riccy back with a corkscrew backbreaker and a running spinning splash… but Ray rolls over into the ropes. Riccy avoids the classic Jaz backslide pin but but Ray catches him with a burning hammer for the win. This match was really good.

Jaz calls out Tyree Taylor. He promises that he will break down Taylor the next time they meet.

Match 3: Dustin Waller vs LJ Cleary

Cleary is visiting us again from Ireland and unfortunately, his beautiful life has led him to Flash Waller. This match rules. It’s like a mirror match of crazy athletic dudes. Or it’s kind of like a match between 2026 Dustin and 2022 Dustin. This year edition knows when to slow it down and this year edition knows when to speed it up and this year’s edition tries to drag LJ into the molasses and then flies off the chain and hit a corkscrew brainbuster for the wind. awesome.

Dustin grabs the mic and calls out someone who has been starting to fire up but he doesn’t necessarily say who. I wonder who he’s talking about.

Match 4: The Haven (Shawn Knyte & Jay Onyx) vs Shooter Boys (Anthony Vecchio & Aaron Ortiz)

This is a delightfully fun match between a former mainstay in the younger, but also former wrestling tag champs. Haven gives the Shooter Boys a hell of a fight, almost putting Ortiz away several times. Vecchio finally gets in there and bowls Knyte over! They hit a chasing the dragon but Onyx makes the save! Knute posts Ortiz when they try the blockbuster. Ortiz is out on the floor as Knyte and Vecchio are going for the kill. And then the Verdict runs in. Vinny distracts the ref while Bryce chokeslams Vecchio and throws Knyte on top. Both teams are confused. The Shooter Boys accuse Haven of shenanigans but they plead innocence. Bryce and Vinny? They’re laughing at the stage they just set.

Match 5: Frankie B vs Allie Katch

Frankie is from Australia and demands we pledge allegiance to her. And Allie? We love Allie. Katch is controlling well until she gets hot shot into the top rope. Frankie dodges the piledriver and tries to blatantly hold the ropes for the pin. No, sez ref Tiger. Allie finally rages back with her signature hip attacks and cannonball. Frankie avoids the piledriver again with a reverse ddt. A one arm suplex into the buckles can’t get the job done but Frankie seems confident. Allie kicks her out of the corner and hits a dominator for the win!

Allie on the mic. She’s upset she didn’t earn the WWE ID contract on Sunday but she’s fired up for the next steps. She’s stoked about the level of women’s talent coming through the doors…and maybe it’s time to have a women’s championship? The crowd likes this.

Match 6: Krule(c) vs The Butcher Andy Williams (for the IWTV world Championship)

It’s a battle of two big bulls, itching to take a bite out of the other. Butcher takes some shots but Krule no sells everything. Butcher tries to fake Krule into the ropes but the Atrocity doesn’t DO mind games. They spill to the floor, eat the post, Butcher with an apron slam. He starts dropping bombs on the champ but Krule isn’t staying prone for long so the pressure has to stay on. And every time he kicks out? Krule sits right back up. He finally hits a big boot and springs back to life. The Butcher is looking spent after all that effort for seeming naught. Butch hits a snap German for a near fall. Krule back up and hits Scorched Earth…which opens up Butcher’s forehead and keeps him down for the three. This started slow but got where it needed to be.

It’s Stetson Ranch time. Brian Morris has a match but Stetson is walking with purpose. He’s upset that Danny Miles hasn’t returned his phone calls. I mean, after last week, it’s unsurprising. Stetson APOLOGIZES on camera. He admits Danny has been here since day 1 and has value. But Morris? How is he going to prove HIMSELF? Morris promises to destroy Aaron Rourke…you know…the WWE EVOLVE champion. Morris promises to hunt down all of Stetson’s enemies backstage. As for the match?

Match 7: Brian Morris (w/ Steven Stetson) vs Aaron Rourke

It’s going VERY poorly for Morris against the Dimepiece until Stetson interferes. And then Steve is just barking orders from ringside, which really seems to be throwing Morris further off his game. Rourke hits a codebreaker to set off the rally. Stetson is miserable watching this. Morris avoids the Molly Go Round. He catches a flying Brian into a fallaway slam. Morris sends Rourke to the floor, big dive…he hits an Impaler ddt for two! Stetson keeps flapping his gums and Morris has had enough. He tells Stetson that he’s the one in here doing the work. Rourke with a forearm drops Stetson off the apron and a discus boot puts Morris down for the three!

Stetson in the ring and in Morris face. It looks like Morris might take a shot…but then he folds and apologizes profusely to Steve for the loss. UGGGGGGH.

Main Event: Big Business (Love Doug & Brad Hollister)(c) vs Simply the Best (BRG & Oxx Adams) (for the Wrestling Open Tag Team Championships)

Oxx starts things off and has an easy time with Bacon. Doug wants this fight? And he’s WINNING?!? Oxx cuts off all this confusing tactic with a huge chokeslam. BRG in there and starts taking a beating until he crotches Doug on the top rope. Doug eats a LOT from Oxx and Brett but Bacon finally gets in there. Big slams to Gosselin but he refuses to stay down. Big Business 3D!!! BRG kicks out! Adams blindsides Doug on the apron and uses Brett to spear Bacon for two! Bacon hits the deadlift superplex! Doug recovers and looking for the tag…but Oxx is ready too. StB trying to stay in control but Doug crotches Brett on the buckles. Oxx trying to charge the corner as BRG runs for the tag title belt. Oxx wipes out ref Tiger with Doug…by accident? Oxx to the top…Doug hits him with flower petals! Top rope blockbuster! Brett hits bacon with the belt! He goes to get Doug too but Pedro Dones runs in and takes the belt! Business is Booming connects! Brett stays down for the three as Ref Tiger wakes up enough to make the count!
