WXW announced the following:
wXw 16 Carat Gold Festival from March 6th to 8th
20 years after the first 16 Carat Gold wrestlers from all over the world come to the Turbinenhalle in Oberhausen, Germany to compete in the prestigious tournament. Tetsuya Naito will be competing in his first singles tournament outside of New Japan but also other Japanese promotions will be represented with Chihiro Hashimoto representing Sendai and Yamato for Dragongate. The full first round matches:
- Tetsuya Naito vs. Dieter Schwartz
- Chihiro Hashimoto vs. Thomas Shire
- Yamato vs. Axel Tischer
- Arez vs. Peter Tihanyi
- Titus Alexander vs. Alan Angels
- Ahura vs. Dennis Dullnig
- Bushi vs. Zoltan
- Erick Stevens vs. Bobby Gunns
The tournament will continue on Saturday night which is headlined by the wXw Unified World Wrestling Champion Match between Elijah Blum and 1 Called Manders but the tuurnament itself will conclude with the semi finals and finals on Sunday evening. Additionally the big shows are scheduled with the Independent Wrestling Summit on March 7th with matches represented by West Coast Pro Wrestling, New Wave Wrestling, CVW from Mexico, All Women Wrestling Fury Wrestling from Germany and RevPro from the UK. Right after that there will be the annual shoot style event “Ambition”. Minoru Suzuki is returning to his roots competing against Danny Jones as well as many skilled shoot style wrestlers from all over the world.
All events will be streamed live with English & Germany commentary on wXw YouTube channel for their members, to IWTV, to TrillertTV+ and selected cinemas all over Germany. Last few standing only tickets remain available at the door each night.
