Rob Schamberger's latest AEW painting is Swerve Strickland.
Schamberger noted, "Sometimes a very simple and straightforward composition can pay off, and I feel like that’s what happened with my new Kazuchika Okada painting. Inspired by his entrance, I set out to give a sense of scope and movement while limiting myself to a solitary figure against a sweeping background. It may seem easier than a complicated maximalist approach, but with minimalism the struggle comes from having to get right the little bits of details left. Thanks to a strong color palette and some well-directed splatters of masking fluid, it looks like that worked out!"
