Spotlight Match: Rain Conway vs Cletus
Rain must be feeling confident after his first singles win last week. This big hillbilly is easily two of him! And the results speak for themselves early. Rain getting steamrolled but he hits a back elbow and gets some offense in. Cletus back up and looks to hit an End of Days but Rain avoids it…and then he hits a rainmaker and gets the win out of nowhere. Is Rain on a winning STREAK???
Match 1: Bryce Donovan & Vinny Scalise vs The Haven (Shawn Knyte & Jay Onyx)
Wow, it’s been a MINUTE since we’ve seen the Haven teamed up. Bryce cuts off their intro to say this is HIS show and he plans to make everything worse for all of us. Vinny gets beat up early but then Bryce blindtags in and just ends the momentum abruptly. The Haven tries to rally but Bryce just bombs one into the other. It’s not a A COMPLETE squash but the finish is VERY dominating as Onyx gets a chokeslam with a lariat chaser to keep him down for the win. Bryce and Vinny decide on a lost match beatdown and say this will happen every week.
HERE COME THE RETURNING SHOOTER BOYS to put a stop to this! They’ve missed Cranston…but they haven’t missed Bryce and his entourage of trash. “We’ll see you soon!” Says Bryce
Match 2: Shooter Boys (Anthony Vecchio & Aaron Ortiz) vs The Residency (RJ Rude & Rex Lawless)
Of course, The Residency attacks the Shooter Boys before their match. Ortiz gets beat on for a while. He tries to escape but Rex but grabs him and slams him down. RJ finally whiffs a splash off Rex’s shoulders and Vecchio gets the hot tag! Rex dropkicked into a German that sends him to the floor, leaving Rude to eat a Chasing the Dragon for the three!
Rich Palladino confirms that in two weeks, it’s gonna be Bryce & Scalise vs the Shooter Boys!
Match 3: Amity Lavey vs Shannon LaVangie
Amity LOOKS fierce but it’s Shannon who’s throwing some heavy forearms early. Amity losing focus and trying to deal with her opponent AND rattle Ref Gina. Big pull down bomb. Standing moonsault for two! Shannon comes back with some clotheslines and a German. She misses the sparkle splash! Amity rolls her up, handful of tights and gets the three! A much needed win for Lavey! Shannon looks disappointed and kicks the bottom rope before leaving.
Match 4: Dustin Waller vs Corey Duke
Dusty is another one who has a stick up his butt about how the crowd here treats him and how much he wants to beat up of people we like. Duke is proving to be a problem for Waller, offering up reversals and counters aplenty. Waller tries to capitalize on a rope slip and Duke spikes him with a ddt! Waller gets flattened and a moonsault pancakes him for two! Waller with the comeback and puts the lights out with a brain buster for the win!
Dustin says he’s sick of waiting at the back of the line. He’s going right to the front. Now we have an interview setting up…it’s Oxx Adams and BRG! BRG quickly kicks Rich out of the interview. BRG says he’s not injured anymore…and so it’s time to identify their next victim: Big Bacon Brad Hollister. In two weeks, they’re coming after Big Bacon and Big Business.
Fancy Ryan Clancy is out here. He’s the new #1 contender for the Wrestling Open. I thought he was supposed to be fighting Ichiban & Brando Lee tonight. Clancy says it’s best if he sits this one out. Again, he says his friendship with Ichiban means so much to him. Clancy is a Pacifist. He says he’ll only fight Ichiban if he’ll freeze over. Clancy says Ichiban gets to have the night off. But not Brando Lee.
Match 5: DJ Powers vs Brando Lee (w/ Ichiban)
Clancy heads over to commentary. Brando looks great early. DJ getting heat and everyone hates it. Lee manages to get some space just as Clancy starts getting in Ichiban’s face. As they start jawing, Lee rolls up DJ for the win. Powers tries attacking after the bell but Ichiban makes the save. Of course, Clancy takes exception to Ichiban stopping their “conversation” to make the save. If he didn’t have a big title match, he says he’d reconsider his friendship with Ichiban. This is some S-tier toxic friendship s***.
Main Event: Stetson Ranch(c) (Steven Stetson & Brian Morris w/ Bobby Casale) vs Mama Bears (Bear Bronson & Bobby Orlando) (for the Wrestling Open tag team titles)
I am prepared to boo this finish. Something tells me the Ranch is winning and so my expectations are low for the result…but I bet I will enjoy the match itself. The Ranch start beating on Bobby early. The tag to Bear results in quick change of fortune and the Ranch looks to bail out of the match. Bobby and Bear chase them down into a brawl through the crowd! Of course, Casale gets involved and Bear gets tripped up in the ropes. Bear takes the beating until Orlando can get in there…but there’s Casale again! He might be a “prospect” in the Ranch but he’s been the most effective member tonight. Ref Gina is trying to keep it fair but the Ranch is VERY practiced at this kind of warfare. Bobby finally with a double dropkick and a tag to Bear! Black hole slam to Morris but Stetson breaks up the pin! Stetson with a chop and that’s not smart. Bear eats chops and throws axes into Stetsons chest. A discus clothesline levels the cowboy and a sitout bomb….isnt enough! Bobby to the top…but Bear gets posted under him! Orlando fighting two on one! Tandem facebuster doesn’t keep Bobby down! Stetson’s nose is bleeding…Casale throws a chair in while Stetson has her attention….Gina sees it! She stomps the chair! Casale is ejected!!! Morris arguing and takes a shot! Gina ducks! Superkick and a sick trick cutter! Stetson pulls Bobby off from the outside! Mama Bears set up for the finish! Stetson complains about his nose again…Bear has Morris up for a Fire Thunder Driver…Dustin Waller rushes out, grabs the chair, smashes Bear and Morris falls into the pinning position as Gina turns around. She counts the three and…yup…the Ranch wins. Booooooooooo!
The Ranch heads to the back but Dustin stays in the aisle, giving the chair a smooch so Bear and Orlando KNOW it was him. As Bobby takes this in….here comes Fancy Ryan Clancy. He slides in but Bobby is RIGHT in his face. Clancy begs off immediately. He’s just here to…uh….stare at the belt?
