After watching RAW last night, I had a few questions:
1. Brock Lesnar Open Challenge: Can anyone BUT Oba Femi answer this? I think Michael Cole kind of gave it away when he said Brock was the man who eliminated Femi at the Rumble.
If it’s me, it has to be Oba, though I could see a way to get Gunther if they didn’t want to go with Femi. But if it’s me, I go with Oba.
2. How long do you think they drag it out for? I think the matchup alone sells itself, so I suppose they could do it last minute and make the fans wait. But, would Oba not want to jump right on this to show he means business? Lesnar has a lot of appearances leading up to WM; so do they use them as a hook to get viewers to see who steps up, or does someone call their shot soon and they build for a few weeks?
I am with you. I do it sooner rather than later.
3. Jade's WM opponent: out of the Chamber entries, who do you WANT to get it and who do you THINK will get it? Your pick might be the same for both, but I wanted offer both options.
If they decide to go with an opponent for Jade and they don’t have Raquel win and pick Stephanie Vaquer and making it a three way, which was an interesting idea that Mike Eps posited on a recent show, I see them going with Tiffany Stratton and from booking standpoint that makes the most sense to me.
4. I'm of the opinion that AJ Styles speech put to bed any notion of him going to AEW that fans seem to be floating around. I know Tony Khan isn't shy about backing up the Brinks truck, but AJ seems to want to be there for his kids. Good on him. Do you see this retirement as final, or maybe a special appearance in a year or two?
I got that vibe from the speech and subsequent NFL style Hall Of Fame notification from The Undertaker. As I have said before, I don’t want to see him go to AEW, for a number of reasons. He had such a perfect retirement show, I hope that WWE remains his home from now on. I could definitely see him coming back in the right circumstance but I hope he is serious when he says that he is laying down the gloves.
