PWInsider.com is saddened to report the passing of California independent wrestler Evan Simonds, 28, who performed as Lars Luger following a shooting in Pleasonton, California. Simonds' mother, Lori Simonds was also shot and killed.
ABC 7 News in San Jose is reporting that the person believed to be responsible, has been arrested and further details will be announced.
"This outcome is the result of our detectives working nonstop on this case," Police Chief Tracy Avelar said in a statement. "We appreciate the patience of our community as we worked through a rapidly evolving investigation, and I'm proud of the work done to keep the community safe."
A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to assist Simonds' sister in the wake of loss of her brother and mother at this link.
