Do you think Lola Vice will be called up to WWE this year or next year?
Since they had her work in The Royal Rumble that tells me she is definitely on the radar to move to the main roster. When that will happen? I don't know.
Is WWE blowing it already with "Royce Keys"? They debut him at the Rumble, which I'm sure many wondered who he was and then keep him off TV ever since. He had a few good minutes and then no follow up at all. Meanwhile, Oba is on a WM track, as he should be.
I can't say that they are blowing it because they haven't really done anything with him. My hope is that they don't want to do too many character debuts at one time. As you mentioned, they are pushing Femi hard right now. Talents can get lost in the sauce when too many debut at the same time, especially when one of the talents is a special as Oba. I will give them time with Keys before I deem his run a failure.
With WrestleMania 41 in Vegas utilizing heavy promotional discounts campaigns and free shirts to move tickets, is there a sense that WWE overshot the mark on pricing during a 'Trump Slump' in international tourism? Given that many international fans (particularly from Canada and Europe) have cited new trade restrictions and stricter border vetting as a reason to boycott US-based travel in 2026, does WWE realize that their core international audience who usually make up a massive chunk of the 'Mania crowd—might be staying home this year, me included?
I think that they are starting to realize it now, if they hadn’t already. I live in Las Vegas. I know how badly international tourism is down here, especially from Canada. Given that they are not even sniffing 40,000 tickets sold for either night yet, it should be dawning on them now that they won’t draw like they did last year. On top of that, if you check the resale market, you can get tickets for about half the price that WWE is charging so I would think most people will go that route and save money if they decide to go between now and April. It’s not like WWE will be in the poor house, but I don’t see them coming close to the crowd size that they had last year, though the gate will be higher due to the increased ticket prices.
With Adam Pierce & Nick Aldis competing to provide Oba Femi with a contract (given we don't know what these contracts says), shouldn't they offer a championship match to Oba Femi as an incentive to sign with them? It would make sense and refresh the "offer contract" angles.
To me, that sets up a slippery slope. If they make the offer to Femi, the next free agent would expect the same thing. Plus, cramming someone in a Title match, especially this time of year, can mess up the creative plans. On top of that, to me a Title shot should be earned, not given.
