TNA No Surrender 2022: Impact Wrestling Champion Moose vs. W. Morrissey.
They started throwing hands back and forth and it was damn enjoyable. They took each other down and ended up in opposite corners. They pulled themselves to their feet. Moose speared Morrissey and set up for another. Morrissey rolled to the outside after the second spear. Moose sent him back into the ring and went for another but Morrissey leapfrogged Moose and hit a big clothesline. Morrissey hit the BQE powerbomb but now Moose rolled to the outside before the challenger could capitalize.
Morrissey followed and whipped him hard into the railing. He repeated the feat, sending Moose hard into the railing. Moose stopped another attempted whip and nailed a Uranage through a table at ringside, which looked great. Moose dragged him to his feet and drove Morrissey into the ring post. Moose went to follow but the ringside camera operator was in his way, allowing Morrissey a chance to nail a big boot and the BQE on the apron outside.
He went for another BQE but Moose turned it into a rana and then nailed him with a running dropkick in the corner. Moose and Morrissey went back and forth chopping the hell out of each other. Morrissey finally got the better of the exchange, hitting chop after chop. Moose hit a dropkick and then charged for a move while Morrissey went for a lariat and it was a malfunction at the junction as Ed Whalen used to say in Stampede Wrestling.
Moose came back with a big spear. He covered Morrissey but the referee realized Morrissey's arm was outside, under the ropes and stopped the count. Moose had words with the referee. Morrissey caught him coming and scooped him into the BQE. He covered Moose but this time Moose's foot was outside the ring, under the ropes. Morrissey rained down punches on Moose and pulled him up for a BQE but was backed up hard into the buckles.
They battled to the top and somehow, the top rope didn't collapse under them as Moose nailed a big superplex. That was insane. They really are working their asses off here. Morrissey avoided a spear but Moose rebounded and drilled him with it for the pin.
Your winner and still Impact Wrestling Champion, Moose!
For two guys as big as they are, this was absolutely great as they threw all caution to the wind and just went at it. This was absolutely a hell of a match and extremely enjoyable. Just two big Kaiju battling it out. I'll take about 1,000 more matches like this.
They showed highlights of the six Knockouts Tag Team bout from last week's Thursday Night Impact episode.
They ran down the Don West Trending Topics with the top being the Casket Match between Elijah and Mustafa Ali.
Gia Miller interviewed Ash by Elegance. She said she took care of the issues that kept her out of the ring to the best of her ability and she's cleared to return. Miller said she felt that Ash coming in made everyone step up their game. Ash said she is one of the oldest in the locker room so she loves to uplift and help the younger talents. She said you take from granted you'll get to perform everyone and then when you lose that, you wonder what's next. TNA told her she would always have a job but she needed to return to the ring for her own mental health. Miller talked about some of the cities they are going to in the near future. Miller talked up New Orleans and how much she loves the city. Ash said that her hometown is Cleveland, so she'd love to be there. They have seen her wrestle in WWE but as Ash by Elegance. Miami is another city she'd love to perform in. Getting the AMC deal is awesome because everyone who asks where they can watch her now is to go to AMC. She feels sometimes the United States is spoiled but when they go outside the country, the fans are more appreciative of what they do in the ring. She would love for TNA to go to the UK. This was the usual good conversation with Miller.
Mila Moore with Tessa Blanchard & Victoria Crawford vs. Big Mama.
Big Mama works regularly for UWN, where she is their Women's Champion. She was trained by Chris Harris and Abyss.
They locked up but Moore broke clean in the corner. They locked up again but this time, Moore was far more aggressive and nailed her. The referee admonished her, allowing Crawford and Blanchard to interfere. Moore got a little too confident, allowing Mama to nail her. Moore took her down and ripped at her hair and braids. Mama fired back with a series of rights and body shots. She nailed Moore with a hair mare, then hit a big slam. Mama called for the Earthquake splash but Crawford distracted her, allowing Moore to drill her with a double knee into the back for the pin.
Your winner, Mila Moore!
