It’s the latest installment of “Mike is somewhere else, so Adam gets to dip in and see what TNA is up to every 6-ish months“. Last time, I was live when Mike Santana won the TNA Championship, and that was awesome so I’m looking forward to tonight. We have a tag team main event…but Nic Nemeth has a contract for a title match. So does Eddie Edwards. And Leon Slater is X Division champion....so there's a lot of intrigue on how this might turn out.
Match 1: TNA Knockouts Battle Royal - Winner gets a Title shot.
Participants: Mara Sade, Tessa Blanchard, Mila Moore, Victoria Crawford, Elayna Black, Rosemary, Tasha Steelz, Jada Stone, Harley Hudson
There were doing entrances for everyone and then BAM, everyone is in the ring? Rosemary is in this match! I see Jody Threat as well. Also, there’s no commentary on this feed. Very odd. Rosemary is tossed quick and I hate it. She grabs a chairs but the red talks her off that ledge. Tasha Steel is out next. Then Jada Stone. Then Harley Hudson. There is still no commentary at all. Tessa’s crew is ganging up on whoever they can. Myla Grace is ganged up on and sent flying. Jody tries to get rid of Mila….Victoria makes the save….Jody might pull them both down? Tessa runs over to make the save and accidentally eliminates both her partners! Did Jody go out on that too? Mara Sade and Black are brawling on the apron as Tessa recovers. Black kicks to the floor! Tessa confidently shoves Sade to the floor. Jody Threat is still in it! She AA’s Tessa to the floor to get the win! I can do this with no commentary but this is a bizarre watching experience for TV.

Leon Slater & Mike Santana are out here to talk about their main event match with Nic Nemeth & Eddie Edwards. Santana is more than happy to take on two guys who have incoming title shots. Slater is excited for his first match back in over a month. He mentions that he’s getting pushed to Option C his X Division title but he doesn’t want to do that against his boy Mike. They are pumped. Jelly Roll is in the house. We had audio for the interview. Still no commentary.
Match 2: Stacks (w/ Arianna Grace)(c) vs Trey Miguel (for the TNA International Championship)
A graphic lets me know that Stacks won this 2 months ago and Miguel got his title shot off a Feast or Fired contract. Trey is being accompanied to the ring by songwriter Teddy Swims. Stacks kind of looks like the love child of Marcus Mathers and Dijak. Now you can’t unsee that. The crowd pops as Trey swarms the champ right at the belt. Stacks retreats to the floor and uses Grace as a shield from harm. Miguel with a triangle dropkick sends him back to the floor. Grace pulls Stacks from harms way and Miguel eats the floor on a dive. She’s clearly the most effective part of this pairing so far. Stack pulls up the ring skirt and rams Trey’s shoulder into the edge of the apron. Big slams from Stacks. He even mocks Santino with a little trombone dancing. Where IS Santino? If there was commentary I’m sure they’d be saying something about that. Though without commentary, I can hear Stacks say that he hates Jelly Roll. And Nashville. Good heel banter. Stacks gets Trey draped on the middle rope and just kicks it into his throat. Boooo. Stacks slips on the top rope and the crowd lets him KNOW. Miguel slips free and hits a German! Top rope dropkick and a kip up! Stacks is looking winded. Miguel kicking the hell out of Stacks. Double stomp to the spine for two! Stacks looks like he’s trying a corkscrew suplex of the top but they just mess that up entirely. Stacks hits it from the mat and gets a two. I think Stacks just tried a F5. I’m not sure what’s happening but this feel like the match has gone off the rails a little. Trey with a head trap kick and a corner 619! He misses a double stomp but….tries a flashy moonsault dot and that is very out of position too. What is happening with this match? Stacks hits a hangman’s double stomp and sends Trey to the floor. Arianna takes a shot at Trey and the ref catches it and ejects her! Ha! Miguel with a baseball slide dat to the floor! Trey Miguel with a lightning spiral and stacks up Stacks to get the three. This is mercifully over. We still have no commentary.
Winner: Trey Miguel (New TNA International Champion)
We have the TNA Injury report - Eddie Edwards got a broken nose last night….but he’s cleared to compete in the main event. Santana is ALSO experiencing back issue but he’s cleared. Jeff Hardy is cleared. Jada Stone is reported that she was attacked by Order 4 earlier in the night so she’s under evaluation….but she was in the Battle Royal….so….ok?
AJ Francis is out here. Boo, says Nashville. He compares himself to Bad Bunny. He calls out Jelly Roll. He invites “Mr. Roll” to cross the line into the ring. He says the rating POP when he’s around. He’s not on the card but he’s here to talk. And he’s gonna join the commentary team tonight. Oh. Well…I guess I won’t hear that? It would be hilarious if commentary magically fixes itself right now. <waits> No. No it didn’t.
Match 3: Mance Warner (w/ Steph DeLander) vs Action Mike Jackson
This is a cat of really wishing we had commentary because on its surface: This is an absolutely bizarre matchup. This old man in a blue singlet is gonna fight Mance Warner. (Yes, I know who AMJ is. This is still a freak show of a match). Mancer stomps Jackson down quick but Mike dodges a charge out of the corner, gets the wrist lock…WALKS THE DAMN TOP ROPE AROUND ALL FOUR SIDES. This is the oldest of old schools. Warner punches Mike in the head and gets a smooch from Steph. Mike Jackson suplexes Mance to the floor! SUICIDE DIVE FROM ACTION MIKE JACKSON WHAT THE F*** IS THIS MATCH? MIKE JACKSON IS 76! Mance decks Mike and tosses him aside again. Jackson up and hits a neck breaker for two! Warner has had enough (again). A big lariat and an impaler ddt puts Mike Jackson down in a flash. Jackson hits the mat in frustration after the loss. Mance picks him up and tells Mike “you still got it”. He offers a handshake….it’s legit. Steph offers a handshake….They both hold Mike Jackson’s hands up! This was surprisingly wholesome. Match of the night so far. I’m sure everyone thought this was gonna go sideways….and then Mance and DeLander argue with AJ Francis at the commentary table.

Backstage, Arianna Grace runs Stacks down for losing the International title. They were supposed to be a championship power couple and he had to RUIN it. She demands Stacks apologize to her. If something else goes wrong? She’s breaking up with him on Valentine’s Day!
Match 4: The Elegance Brand(c) (Heather by Elegance & M by Elegance w/ Ash by Elegance, Mr Elegance & The Personal Concierge) vs Indi Hartwell & Via Brookside (for the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship)
Elegance Branch is just a wild stable to me. Xia and Indi are making easy work of M & Heather early on. M finally resorts to choking Indi with the scary on her arm to get an advantage. Lord, M just TOWERS over her partner. Mr Elegance interferes while M provides a distraction, letting Heather lay out Xia for a two count. The numbers game on this is ridiculous. M chokes Tia in the ropes while Ash and Mr Elegance taunt her. Indi REALLY wants back into this fight. Big suplex to Heather! Xia just can’t make the tag as Elegance Brand pummels her. Brookside finally send them both flying to the floor. Ash screams at them to get back in the fight! Xia makes the tag! Big boots for everyone! Top rope elbow to the back of M! This sets up the big flurry of big moves until it’s just Indi and M recovering to their feet. Indi gets caught by M in a surfboard. Heather off the top with a double stomp and makes the pin! Did Indi get her foot on the rope? Did Ash shove it off? She sure did but the three count and the win stands. Here comes Mickie James! She drops heather by Elegance but can’t put her down. “WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!?” Screams Ash.
Winner: Elegance Brand (and Still)
Every time they cut to the commentary table, just flapping their gums with no audio. It’s so many chuckles. How have they not fixed this yet?
Match 5: BDE vs Eric Young
BDE stands for Brandon Does Everything….and NOTHING ELSE. And then the Triller signal cuts out….a moment later, it’s back….and we have commentary! BDE flies from out at Young during his entrance. He’s taking the fight right to the TNA OG before the bell! Young with a low blow just as the bell rings and he’s putting a hurt on this kid. BDE with a springboard crossbody…and EY catches him and just dumps the YouTuber to the floor. BDE tries a trio of head scissors but Young powerboats him down on the last one for two. Young is bleeding from the ear? He torques on this kid’s neck. Quick reverse DDT from BDE for two! Young catches him flying again with a power slam. Eric just beating this kid down. BDE throws a hand…Young clubs him to the mat. BDE hits a springboard cutter…it’s not enough! He fights to the top. EY bites his forehead! Elbow drop from on high! BDE kicks out! A DVD can’t get it done either! The crowd is behind this kid! BDE biting EY back! Canadian Destroyer! Young kicks out! BDE back to the top…Young pushes the ref into the ropes. BDE crotched on the top and a spike piledriver gives the win to Eric Young.

Backstage with Jody Threat as she celebrates her battle royal win. Tessa is big mad about this. Jody offers her a match on Thursday. Tessa promises to give her a clinic.
Match 6: Lei Ying Lee(c) vs Arianna Grace (w/ STACKS) (for the TNA Knockouts Championship)
Ah ok, now I see. Grace is Santino Marella’s daughter and she’s convinced her dad to give her this title shot. She’s 0-4 in TNA. This is her first match in 5 months. I agree with commentary, why is this a title match? Lee is looking great and VERY dangerous. She powers Grace into the corner quickly. Grace with a slap but she’s sent running when Lee unleashes a series of tornado kicks. Stacks tries to run interference but Lee chases her down. Big kick from Lee. Flying knee and a ten-count of pun…..Dani Luna is out here! She’s been banned from traveling to the US! Security is holding her back from coming down to the ring to attack the champ. In the chaos, Grace blindsides Lee and hits a neck breaker for two. Arianna smashes her face on the apron, she tries a suplex but Lee blocks it….Grace shoves her into the post! Suplex connects this time. To Garce’s credit, she is staying on the champ. She clearly knows that letting up the attack might spell doom. Corkscrew uppercut for two! Lee stumbles out of the corner and Grace eats buckle on a body splash! Lee’s kicks are finding their mark. A ten count of punches. A big toss but Grace kicks out! She hits a double throat thrust and a corkscrew neck breaker…Lee kicks out! Got race misses a double stomp….Lee with a German! A superplex! Stacks trying to encourage his fiancee back to her feet! Another big kick! Grace rakes the eyes to escape the warrior’s way! Stacks throws the title belt into the ring. Lee takes out Stacks on the floor! Grace kicks the middle rope as Lee gets in the ring to stun her….Grace has Santino’s cobra?!? She hits the cobra on the champ! She hits a TKO into her knee….and pins Lei Ying Lee for the three! Arianna Grace is the new TNA Knockouts Champion?!?

Backside, BDE is sulking and Rich Swann comes to cheer him up and play videogames.
Match 7: Order 4 (Mustafa Ali, John Skylar, Jason Hatch & Special Agent 0 w/ Tasha Steel) vs The Hardys (Matt & Jeff) & The Righteous (Vincent & Dutch)
This is a wild 8-man setup. The Hardys are in Righteous-matching white gear! It’s an uncomfortable pairing for the Hardys but they have a mutual problem. Order 4 is sent flying and the unlikely quartet find themselves celebrating amongst themselves. The Hardys are tagging each other only to start but Dutch asks to come in and maybe they’ve established some trust with the champs? Vincent gets caught up after a miscommunication on a tag…Special Agent 0 with a choke slam and Vincent is on the receiving end of the beatdown.Hotch and Skylar just stomping Vincent out while Ali gloats. They take out Dutch! Vincent escapes and gets the tag to MATT! Hary jut bounces Skylar and Hatch off of every buckle he can. Skylar eats a side effect. Matt goes for the twist of fate but Hotch chop blocks. Jeff tags in and dropkicks Hatch’s legs from underneath him. Whisper in the wind! Ali breaks up the pin! The match is starting to break down, everyone flying everywhere. Special Agent 0 flying over the top take out both Hardys! Dutch is gonna fly?!? He wipes out the Great Hands! It’s down to the two big men as they enter the ring for a kaiju clash. 0 powerslams Dutch! Vincent and the Hardys swarm 0! Poetry in motion! Righteous gets in on it too with some poetry! Dutch and Matt hit stereo twist of fates on 0 and Ali! Vincent and Jeff with stereo swantons?!? This kind rules. The Great Hands break it up! They try to suplex Jeff off the ramp! Vincent and Jeff off the ramp wipes out Order 4! Tasha Steel throws powder in Dutch’s eyes! Ali shoves Matt into Dutch, who hits the Death Walks slam. Ali with a 450 and pins Matt Hardy for the win. Nooooooo!
Winners: Order 4.
The lights go out. We have a coffin being brought out? Ali attacks the man who brought the coffin. The lid opens…it’s Elijah! Oh it’s a guitar case coffin! On Thursday, they are having a guitar case casket match. Always, Elijah is the undertaker now? Sure, aight, okay.
Santino is trying to get in to see his daughter, the new Knockouts champ. Daria Rae blocks him and saws he’s letting his emotions get in the way of his job. She warns Santino that she’s a former MMA fighter so he better not get any ideas about that dirty sock puppet.
Main Event: Mike Santana & Leon Slater vs Nic Nemeth & Eddie Edwards (w/ The System)
Daria Rae has said that if anyone decides to cash in their title opportunity on Santana, the tag match will be scrapped and it will become a 1on1 match. And here are three people who can force that match to happen after ANY time. Bear Bronson, Brian Myers, Cedric Alexander are all at ringside to back up Edwards, who has the broken nose taped up. The tape doesn’t last through the first sequence of holds and you can tell he’s feeling it. Quick tag to Nemeth and the pace picks right up but the champ shows he can go at this rate. Slater tags in and the matches goes even faster. Santana back in but Edwards manages to blindside him. Nemeth is thinking about calling his shot? Slater and Santana cut that off. Santana has so many things to worry about tonight and Edwards/Nemeth are trying to take advantage of that split focus. Slater has promised that he won’t be cashing in because he’s enjoying being the youngest X Division champion ever…and at over 200 days into his reign, he is getting close to being the longest reigning X Division champ ever. Slater starts getting taken apart by Edwards and Nemeth, after the system gets involved. Slater keeps ALMOST making the tag but he keeps getting dragged back into the bad zone. Slater manages to run all five opponents like an obstacle course and finally tags Santana! HUGE chop to Nic! Rolling cutter to Edwards! Nemeth runs into a DVD for two! Really good sequence here. Big faceplate slam to Nemeth! Slater with a frogsplash. Santana comes down too….Nemeth kicks out! Santana with a suicide dive to Nic! Slater over the corner post takes out Eddie Edwards! Steve Maclin runs down and attacks Mike Santana! Security trying to run him off! Maclin assaulting Security! They brawl into the crowd! Slater is alone back in the ring! Edwards and Nemeth swarm on Leon as the crowd boos. The ref takes control finally and sends Edwards to the apron. Nemeth taunting Slater that he has no one to tag. The heels are taking their time and having fun with this situation. Good lord, Edwards’ nose looks f***ed. Slater starting to counter his opponents and fire up! Double crossbody wipes them out! Slater with a spinning bomb to Nemeth but the ref get clocked on the way by. The System swarms Slater! MOOSE IS HERE! The System is ready to fight their former friend! Moose wipes out Bronson! Urange to Alexander! Myers tries to play the friend card….Moose bombs him OUTROF THE RING! Moose faces Edwards, who tries to hightail it out of there. Moose fights him to the back! The System chases them to the back. We’re down to Slater and Nemeth! Nemeth tries a rollout with a handful of tights…NO! Slater eats a famous…..kick out! Nic tries for a sweet chin music….Slater beats him to the super kick! Swanton 450 connects! Slater pins Nemeth for the win! What a bananas main event.
