MULTIPLE GRANDE AMERICANOS, BIG FOUR WAY, DOM IS BACK & MORE: 2/7 AAA LUCHA LIBRE TV REPORT

By Mike Johnson on 2026-02-08 00:00:00

Welcome to PWInsider.com's AAA Lucha Libre TV report!

The announcing team is Corey Graves, JBL and Rey Mysterio.

We opened the show with a shot of AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio.  Corey Graves said the king has returned.

They noted Ethan Page arrived alone tonight and teased Chelsea Green wouldn't be there.  Page was on the phone with her and wasn't happy when he learned where she was.

Dominik Mysterio made his way to the ring.    Mysterio said he's the king of AAA and makes the rules here, so he doesn't want to see the old men represented on the AAA flags.  No one has given AAA the prestige I have given it.  No one brings the title every week to Monday Night Raw.  I beat John Cena at Survivor Series and this title was in the middle of the ring so the entire world could see it.  He said AAA is on FOX in all of Mexico and Latin America and that's all thanks to him, not anyone else.   It wasn't Vikingo or Dorian Roldan, it was him.  Dominik made it possible because this is his era.

Hijo del Vikingo came to the ring with Omos and Roldan Dorian.   Roldan said they are in a new era of AAA, one that no one could have imagined a year ago.  Now he's one of the biggest, richest men in Mexico and invested well in the best wrestler Mexico has, Vikingo.   Vikingo said that he wanted Dom to listen to him carefully.  His end game is 3/14 in Puebla.  He asked Dom what he thought was going to happen when they wrestle.  Dom said he was going to kick his ass in front of his whole family.  Vikingo said you aren't going to beat me in my own house, I'm the best wrestler in the world.  He challenged Dom to put his hair on the line.   He said Dom can give him an answer in two weeks when they sign their contracts for the match.

Backstage, Ethan Page told Chelsea on the phone that he didn't know what they were going to do.  She stated she was hurt on Smackdown.  La Hiedra showed up and said no one knows more about the titles than her, so let's go to the ring.  Page was confused so she slapped him on the butt and told him to go.

They showed highlights of AAA stars in the 2026 Royal Rumble matches.

AAA Mixed Tag Team Champion Ethan Page & La Hiedra (substituting for Chelsea Green) vs. Mr. Iguana & Lola Vice.

Iguana and Page started off.   Page worked over his arm but was taken down to the mat and almost pinned.  Page was hit with a DDT and retreated to his corner, where Hiedra tagged in.  Vice tagged in.  She and Iguana cleaned house and hit stereo hip attacks in the corner.  She nailed a suplex on Hiedra for a two count.  Vice hit a lucha armdrag combination off the ropes and then hit a Thesz Press off the apron to the floor.  Hiedra blocked an attack and drilled her hand onto the ring steps, playing off her having the hand attacked by Kelani Jordan on NXT TV.

Back in the ring, Hiedra nailed a dropkick for a two count.  Hiedra worked over her wrist and hand.  Lola finally fought her off and went to Iguana for the tag.   Iguana and Page went back and forth with near falls.  Page missed a clothesline but Hiedra pulled a Midnight Express with a blind tag.    Iguana and Hiedra faced off.   He ducked a right and leapt to the floor with a rana on Page.  Vide and Hiedra battled.  Hiedra nailed a Flatliner and went after the hand again.

Iguana's mascot was grabbed by Page but he was knocked off the apron and iguana rescued his pet.  Lola drilled Hiedra and scored the pin.

Your winners and new AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions, Mr. Iguana and Lola Vice!

This was fine.

Backstage, El Grande Americano crossed paths with Dom.   As Dom left, the original El Grande Americano attacked Grande and handcuffed him to lock him backstage.  The idea the original (Chad Gable) was taking his place in the match.

Rey de Reyes Qualification Match: El Grande Americano Original vs. Rey Fenix vs. Dragon Lee vs. Octagon Jr.

Adding Gable was a nice twist, especially since the show aired live and spoilers didn't get out.

Everyone brawled in the ring.  Original was sent to the floor.  He pulled Octagon to the floor and drilled him into the ring steps.  He nailed a Liger kick on Octagon.  He found himself caught between Lee and Fenix.  They double superkicked him and sent Original to the floor.  The crowd got super excited seeing Fenix and Lee facing off.  They battled back and forth, evading each other before drilling the other with clotheslines.  Original came off the top with a double clothesline on both, only to be drilled by Octagon.  Octagon nailed a cutter off the ropes on Lee, then drilled Americano with a dive off the top.

Octagon went back to the top but was drilled by Fenix.  He nailed a powerbomb then sent Dragon to the floor.  Fenix nailed a big running dive to the floor.  Original nailed a cliffhanger on Fenix for a two count.  He then battled with Lee on the floor.  Americano missed a stomp off the ropes.  Lee drilled him.  Fenix as dumped to the floor.  He went to the top but was caught with an Octagon kick.  The crowd chanted, "This is lucha."  Lee and Octagon battled.  Lee nailed a double stomp off the ropes then killed Fenix with a big dive to the floor.  Lee nailed a dropkick in the corner.  Original hit the ring but Lee nailed the Styles Clash for a two count.

Fenix and Lee battled back and forth.  Lee nailed a big knee strike but was caught with a spinning kick.  Fenix nailed a big boot on Octagon.  Octagon came back with a Poisonrana on Fenix.  Octagon went after Original but Original countered him and nailed some German suplexes.   They all battled.  Octagon nailed a 450 splash on Original, who kicked out.

Backstage, Rayo and Bravo were trying to free Grande Americano.

Fenix nailed a series of kicks on Octagon.  He nailed a neckbreaker on Lee.  Fenix smashed Octagon on the top.  He ran the ropes and drilled Lee with a kick.  Fenix locked Octagon in and drilled him with a muscle buster.  Original pulled him from the ring as he made the cover.  Fenix tried to unmask Original.  Lee leapt over the ropes and nailed a rana to the floor.  Original loaded his mask with a foreign object and drilled Lee.  He did the same with Octagon.  Grande went to the top and hit a diving headbutt for a three count.

Your winner, advancing to Rey de Reyes, El Grande Americano Original!

Real damn good main event.  Lee and Fenix battling was a lot of fun especially.

El Gran Americano hit the ring and ran out Original.  They are obviously going to build to a mask vs. mask match eventually.
