WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch appeared on ESPN's First Take this morning to promote the 2026 WWE Royal Rumble.
Appearing via Zoom from Riyadh, they referenced her husband Seth Rollins saying she had the biggest Rumble win of all time. Lynch quipped that Seth gets everything right.
Lynch was asked what it would mean to join Charlotte Flair by winning the Rumble twice and tying her record. Lynch leaned into character, saying everyone says she's the greatest female wrestler of all time and is on her own lists. She has the best lawyers in the country and shouldn't be in the Rumble as everyone wants to challenge for her Women's Intercontinental title. She said that perhaps she wins and challenges both champions so she can have all three titles, which is what would be best for pro wrestling.
Stephen A. Smith brought up AJ Lee talking about Becky and praising her. Lynch said Lee has wonderful taste in women, terrible taste in men. Lynch said she's right, Lynch is wonderful before saying Lee has lied about tapping Lynch out. Lynch claims there was an infestation of bees she was trying to deal with the first time and the second time, she was calling her teammates over.
Lynch was asked if anyone was more influential in the rise of female WWE stars than her. Lynch said no one. She looks in the mirror and sees someone who does great things and only does great things. Smith asked who was more important than her and if she was more important than her husband. Lynch said it's equal and deflecting it to taking credit for ESPN and Netflix subscriptions for WWE. She said they are the greatest wrestling couple of all time.
Lynch was asked who she looks forward to eliminating from The Rumble. She knocked Charlatan Flair, Awful Asuka and Moody Maxxine, before saying she was ready for everyone.
