AEW Dynamite is live from the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, FL. The commentary team is Excalibur, Taz, and Tony Schiavone.
Tony is in the ring to speak to MJF, who brags about how well he dresses and how classy he is because he is the best wrestler on Earth. He brags about how much the title belt is worth and says that Bandido was the first to find out that 2026 is the year of the Devil and no one is on his level.
This summons Brody King from the back. Brody says that after what MJF did to Bandido last week, all he can think about is all the things he can do to MJF. He says he won’t beat MJF right now because we all know MJF is a bitch, and he won’t get what he wants: a title match.
MJF calls for complete silence so he can think, and we all know how that works out for someone. He then says he has thought about it, and he will have to say no—not because he is afraid of Brody, but because Brody is all bark and no bite. He says that Brody has only beaten jobbers, and to go for the world title, he needs to beat elite-level wrestlers.
MJF has a lot to do tonight, so he will take off and leaves.
We get a video recap of Hangman Adam Page, Speedball Mike Bailey, and Kevin Knight winning the Trios title last week.
Renee Paquette is with all three of them in the back, and Page says they need a trios team name. Knight says Jet Set Rodeo, and Speedball says Horse Guys. Page says it’s not gonna work, and they have big matches tonight. Page gives them advice for their upcoming matches and says he will face Katsuyori Shibata Saturday night.
Samoa Joe vs. Speedball Mike Bailey
Joe rolls out of the ring to start the match. He takes his time to get back in the ring, and when he does, he locks up with Bailey and forces him to the corner. Joe breaks and lays in jabs and headbutts. Bailey fights his way off the ropes and then gets a series of kicks off the ropes. Bailey then keeps laying in kicks and dodges attacks from Joe until he drop-kicks Joe to the floor. Joe pulls Bailey out of the ring and lays him out with a single chop.
Bailey gets a kick on the floor and then a baseball slide from the ring, followed by a moonsault. As he rolls Joe into the ring, Hook and Shibata come down to ringside. Joe knocks Bailey to the floor, and as he distracts the ref, Hook and Shibata stomp Bailey down and roll him back into the ring as we go to picture-in-picture.
When we return to full screen, Bailey gets a boot up in the corner and then gets a series of kicks on Joe, including a missile drop-kick from the top. Bailey keeps up the kicks, misses a standing shooting star, and Joe misses a senton. Bailey gets a shooting star press from the top for two.
They fight on the apron, and Bailey trips Joe and tries for a backflip knee drop, and Joe rolls out of the way. As Joe distracts the ref, Shibata gets a series of suplexes on the apron and the floor before rolling Bailey into the ring. Joe stomps down Bailey. Joe pulls Bailey up, and they trade chops until Joe slams Bailey with a knee breaker and then grabs a heel hook. Bailey gets to the rope for a break.
Joe lays in kicks of his own and keeps knocking Bailey to the mat. Joe gets a rolling kick to grab another heel hook. Bailey gets to the ropes again for the break. Joe goes back to kicks on Bailey’s leg. Bailey takes the pose for a crane kick and instead gets a roundhouse kick and a shooting star knee drop, and another round kick for two. Bailey gets a spin kick and goes for the Ultimo Weapon from the top, but Joe has the ref help him away. Hook tries to grab Bailey, but Bailey nails him with a back elbow and then rolls Joe up for two.
Joe grabs a Coquina Clutch, but Bailey rolls backward for two. Hook distracts the ref, and Shibata holds Bailey so that Joe can grab the Muscle Buster for the pin and the win.

After Mox drops Rocky, Archer chokeslams Mox on the board for two, broken up by Yuta and Garcia. Archer drags Yuta to the top of the ramp, and Pac comes from the back on crutches and uses the crutch to attack Archer. Claudio Castagnoli joins in the fight.
As Hechicero goes to join, Shafir gets a low blow, and Yuta gets a psycho knee. In the ring, Mox and Rocky brawl, and Garcia hits the ring and gives Rocky a piledriver, followed by an ankle lock. Mox follows with a curb stomp, and Rocky is out cold.
