Watching Finn Balor in the main event of Raw on January 19, I came up with a few questions: After giving up the Universal Title due to a severe shoulder injury in 2016, why has Balor never again won the title? What caused first Vince, and later HHH, to change their opinion that Balor could not/would not be the champion?
I never try to get in the mind of Vince McMahon. It could have been that once Roman Reigns took the top spot and before they created the World Title, there was only so much top space to go around. With that said, Balor is awesome and has a prominent role on the show.
If I'm remembering correctly, Balor last used his Demon persona in a losing effort against Roman Reigns in 2021. As I recall, because it was seldom used, an appearance by the demon was viewed by fans as a special event or special night. With that in mind, why has the demon not been seen since?
It used to be that whenever The Demon showed up, Balor won. Once he lost using the persona I can see why it wasn’t brought back. The luster was gone.
The Netflix press release stated that subscribers watched 525 million hours of WWE content in 2025. According to my US public school education-level math, that's about $950K spent per content hour viewed. At one year in, who do you think is getting the better of the deal: Netflix or WWE?
I think this is one of those cases where it has worked out really well for both sides.
Is it me or was Raw last night just a ton of ads with a little wrestling in between instead of how it usually is?
It’s weird, sometimes when I watch after the fact, they don’t force ads on me. Sometimes they do. I am not sure what their criteria is but I can tell you that the international viewers aren’t subjected to the ads.
