WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi expressed concern on his podcast about how rising ticket prices and WWE's current structure under TKO have made attending WWE events increasingly difficult, even for those with longstanding ties to the organization. He explained that despite being on a WWE legends contract, securing complimentary tickets for family and close friends has become nearly impossible, with numerous procedural hurdles and effectively no comp tickets available. While discounts may exist, he argued that they provide little relief given the high base prices, which make attending shows cost-prohibitive for working-class families. Using the example of a family of five, Rikishi contrasted today’s costs, potentially approaching $1,000 even with discounts, with past eras when tickets were far more affordable, noting that many fans now struggle to attend events at all, often relegated to the cheapest seats. We reached out to WWE for comment but have not heard back as of this writing.
We are told a fan hopped the barricade at the end of the Smackdown taping in Berlin, Germany this past Friday but was immediately intercepted by security and removed. Good.
WWE "reality" series Unreal will premiere season two on Netflix next week.
