Now that Drew McIntyre is a four-time WWE Champion, what exactly is his legacy? He is a four-time world champion in an era when the top title doesn't change very often. So where does he fit in the pantheon of WWE champs?
That is to be determined. Drew is still in the prime of his career so it’s not wise to state what his legacy now. The one thing that I will say is that WWE could have definitely used him better than they did up until, but I could say the same thing about a lot of talents. I don’t think that they have come close to getting out of Drew what he has to offer.
Seeing Ibushi hobble to the ring during Tanahashi's retirement ceremony was flat out disturbing. Having him, Jay White, Will Ospreay, and Kenny Omega there, each having lost so much time due to injury over the past few years, just hammered home to me how unsafe AEW and the AEW style of wrestling is. Without a medical/rehab system like WWE has, injuries take even longer to recover from, and occur more often. Why aren't people outraged about this? Is it just tribalism? Anything negative regarding the WWE gets shouted from the digital rooftops, but AEW shortens wrestlers' careers and fans are fine with that?
I think the main reason for it is that the fans who like to watch the dangerous couldn’t care less about the health of the wrestlers. Look at how they attacked William Regal for doing a PSA about how being dropped on your head can ruin your long term quality of life. He was treated like he was an axe murderer. I have said it many times, look at the top names of all times. Austin, Rock, Hogan, Piper, Reigns, Cena, etc. They didn’t do insane, dangerous spots very often, if at all. Yet, they are/were far more over and drew far more money than anyone in the “drop me on my head” crowd. The fans who like safer wrestling probably don’t watch AEW and don’t know or care about how unsafe it can be at times.
While watching the Canelo-Crawford match, the show felt different from other boxing events and looked top notch. The production felt a lot like a WWE production, sharing similar entrance tunnels and stadium setup. I understand it was a TKO event but was WWE personal involved with the production of this event?
WWE IS TKO now. Their production team and they way that they present TV is now TKO owned.
So Seth Rollins was upset that his kid told her teacher the truth. What does that say about him as a parent?
That’s a loaded question, for sure. I will let you decide the answer but from everything I have seen and heard he is a loving father. But, that comment rubbed me wrong too. Then again, that’s WWE for you.
