1/10 AEW COLLISION REPORT

AEW Collision is live from the Esports Stadium Arlington in Arlington TX. Our commentary team is Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness.

We get a series of quick promos to start the show. 

The Death Riders (Pac, Wheeler Yuta, and Daniel Garcia) w/Marina Shafir vs Sky Flight (Scorpio Sky, Dante and Dairius Martin) w/Zayda Steel

Jon Moxley joins commentary.

Yuta and Sky start the match Yuta gets a side headlock takeover and holds Sky down, and then they move to trading arm bars. Sky is able to get a back slide after coming off the ropes and gets a two count. Sky gets a quick clothesline for two and Yuta grabs a cover for one. Darius tags in and is slammed into the turnbuckle in the Death Riders cover and Garcia tags in. 

They run the ropes and Sky gets a leaping back elbow and then a series of running blows in the corner. Garcia finally dodges a charge and sends Sky to the corner, who goes up and over and takes Garcia down. They run the ropes again, and Dante is tagged in where they hit a double; team knee strike. Sky is tagged in and so is Pac. The Death Riders work over Sky in their corner with quick tags.

Sky finally goes to Garcia’s eyes and gets a knee up in the corner to tag in Dante, who cleans house. Pac is able to cut him off and all three Death Riders attack Dante as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Dante has been in the babyface in peril through the break. Dante finally gets a drop-kick on Pac and crawls to his corner to tag in Darius, who runs wild. Darius ends the sequence with a fisherman’s suplex on Yuta after a flatliner for two, broken up by Pac. Shafir gets on the apron and Steel gets on the apron to counter her. 

Sky Flight gets a series of dives on the Death Riders. We get Shafir and Steel on the apron when Darius and Yuta are in the ring. Shafir spits at Steel while Darius gets an O’Conner roll for two. Yuta is pulled back into the ring and Darius gets a cutter for two, broken up by the Death Riders. Shafir distracts Darius and Yuta gets a low blow. 

The Death Riders hit forever splashes on Darius in the corner, and then Garcia holds Darius in a rear chinlock as Pac and Yuta crisscross in the ring before diving onto Dante and Sky. Pac returns to the ring and puts Darius in a brutalizer and Darius has to tap out.

Winners: The Death Riders

After the match, Steel and Shafir have a confrontation in the ring, and Shafir kicks Steel into Megan Bayne, who has appeared in the ring. Bayne gets a running Liger bomb, and Bayne, Shafir and Penelope Ford stand over her.

In the back, Lexi is with the Conglomeration and Roderick Strong. Strong says he is not done with the Death Riders. Mark Briscoe says the word of the day in momentum and goes over their titles and he tells Hechicero he had the momentum tonight. 

Brody King vs The Already In The Ring Barrett Brown (they never show his name)

Brown dives on Brody on his way to the ring, and Brody just slams him on the apron. In the ring, Brody gets the running cannonball and a Gonzo Bomb for the pin and the win. 

Winner: Brody King

In the back, John tells us that Don Callis is in Japan with Kazuchika Okada to celebrate Okada’s victory. As the Don Callis Family beats up people behind him, he cuts a promo about how The Demand will beat down Jetspeed. El Cl0n will win his match, and Hechicero will win the TNT championship tonight. 

El Cl0n vs Komander

They take their time before locking up and when they do, Cl0n gets a slam and a cover for two. Komander gets a pair of quick rollups for two and they go back and forth with capture pins for two. They run the ropes and Cl0n catches Komander and works him over in the corner and then gets a moonsault from the second rope for two.

They run the ropes and Komander gets a tejarais. He then goes for a springboard arm drag, but doesn’t quite get it. He then gets a series of kicks out of the corner and a tornado hurricanrana from the top to Cl0n. He dives into Cl0n who catches him and tosses him onto the runway as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Clon gets a chop on Komander in the ropes. They run the ropes and drop-kicks Cl0n in the leg and then a heel kick into a DDT. They fight in the corner and trade chops in the middle of the ring. They trade a series of quick moves with Komander getting a Poisonrana for a two count. Komander gets a backflip from the corner for two. 

Cl0n goes to the floor and Komander hits a moonsault from the top rope onto Cl0n on the floor. Cl0n is rolled into the ring and Komander goes to the top. Cl0n avoids a stomp from the top, gets an upkick into a tilt a whirl backbreaker. Komander reverses a pickup into a poisonrana for two. Cl0n escapes a pickup and gets a leg capture slam for two. Cl0n then gets an airplane spin driver for the pin and the win.

Winner: El Cl0n

We get a video package of the matches AEW talent had at NJPW’s WrestleKingdom last weekend.

Mina Shirakawa vs The Already in the Ring Lady Frost 

It’s a shame Frost is not in the “already in the ring” club.

A bouquet of flowers is given to Mina as she gets to the ring and we are told we do not know who they are from. Frost gives Mina a big kick in the flowers and gets a series of attacks until Mina gets a dragonscrew leg whip and takes over the match. Mina wins with the figure four.

Winner: Mina Shirakawa

We then get a recap video of Mercedes Mone after losing some of her many titles. 

Mark Briscoe (TNT Champion) vs Hechicero

Hechicero picks the leg and Briscoe is able to get a rollup for two. Hechicero goes for a submission but Briscoe is immediately in the ropes for the break. They jockey for position, but neither is able to get a full hold until Hechicero picks the leg and they go back to mat work. They run the ropes and when Hechicero tries for a back body drop, Briscoe lands on his feet. Hechicero gets a kick to the side of Briscoe’s head when coming off the ropes. He then gets a hammerlock spin into a backbreaker.

He then beats down Briscoe in the corner. Briscoe is able to start fighting back and they both are dumped to the floor where Briscoe starts brawling. Briscoe tosses a chair into the ring and Hechicero tries to stop him from getting in the ring. Briscoe gets a blockbuster from the apron and then sets up the chair in the ring for a launching pad. Hechichero knocks down the chair and Briscoe knocks Herichero to the floor and dives. Hechichero grabs Broiscoe and gets an arm bar on the floor.

Hechicero runs Briscoe’s shoulder into the ring post as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Briscoe is selling the arm and gets a few blows before Hechicero gets an arm bar. Briscoe gets a rope break. They trade blows in the middle of the ring. Briscoe tries for a Pele kick, but Hechicero avoids it and gets an arm bar and Briscoe finally gets to the rope for a break as we are told there are ten minutes remaining.

Briscoe avoids a kick in the ropes and they both go to the floor. Hechicero had grabbed Briscoe from behind and Briscoe fell to the floor, driving Hechicero into the floor. Briscoe is able to finally get the chair assisted dive from the ring. Hechicero is rolled into the ring and Briscoe gets a flying forearm. Briscoe gets a leaping attack in the corner and then a fisherman’s buster with a bridge for two.

Briscoe starts a Jay Driller, but his arm is too injured. Hechicero hits a corkscrew leg drop for two. Hechicero tries for a Jay Driller and drops Briscoe into a front slam for two. Hechicero puts Briscoe on top and Briscoe bites him to escape his holds and knocks Hechicero to the mat, hitting Frogie Bo. Hechicero rolls Briscoe back for a two count. Briscoe is able to get the Jay Driller for the pin and the win.

Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong come to the ring to celebrate with him.

Lexi is with Grizzled Young Veterans as well as Eddie Kingston and Ortiz to talk about their upcoming match. GYV hates how Eddie does business and he will drag Ortiz down with him. Eddie says you reap what you sow, and they don't sow. They reap. 

Vertvixen, Hyan, and Maya World vs Babes of Wrath (Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale) and Kris Statlander

Kris and Maya start and Maya gets a series of rollups until Kris gets a shoulder tackle; Hyan tags in and gets a suplex. Kris catapults her into the corner and then hits a side suplex. Harley tags in and is thrown onto Maya by Kris for two. Vert tags in and Harley gets a sling blade for two. Willow tags in. She and Harley gives Vert a double slam for two. Willow gets a kick for one only. Kris tags in and gets a sliding clothesline and after Harley and Willow get a quick move, Kris gets a meteora for two and we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Harley has been the babyface in peril through the break and when we return. After a sequencer where everyone is in the ring fighting, Harley gets the tag to Willow, who cleans house. Kris is tagged in and they throw Hyan and Maya together and Harley gets a cross body on top to them both. Vert gets back in the ring to take the Staturday Night Fever pile driver and Kris covers for the pin and the win.

Winners: Babes of Wrath and Kris Statlander

Harley grabs a mic and we then hear from Thekla who is sick of the love and happiness. She and her sisters will teach them how to be toxic in their upcoming match. Kris says next week, the sisters will call her Big Stat Daddy.

We then get a promo from Don Callis who says Kazuchika Okada put down Tanahashi down at WrestleKingdom. Kyle Fletcher says that he wants to talk about Okada taking the screwdriver he hid in the ring and he and Konosuke Takeshita are not happy about Okada. Callus calms him down and says he wants Kyle to concentrate on getting the TNT title back. 

We get a hype video of Bandido vs MJF for the AEW Title at Dynamite

The Demand (Ricochet, Toa Leona, and Bishop Kaun) vs Jet Speed (Kevin Knight and Speedball Mike Bailey) Anthony Bowens

Jetspeed attacks when they hit the ring, and Bowens comes out after the attack has started, and when he does, they are able to get control of the ring and toss The Demand from the ring. After Jetspeed and Bowens scissor, The Demand is able to attack again and everyone is brawling at ringside. 

We finally get to Bowens and Ricochet in the ring and they run the ropes. Ricochet gets a running knee to the back and The Demand triple team him as Jetspeed is on the floor. They keep working him over with quick tags. 

Bowens gets to his corner for a tag to Speedball who works over Kaun. Knight is tagged in and they double team Kaun until Kevin gets a UFO splash for two. Knight and Kaun fight in the corner, go to the top and Kaun drops Knight with a slam on the top turnbuckle as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Knight has been the babyface in peril. Knight and Kaun hit a double cross body and crawl to their corners, and Bowens gets the hot tag and runs wild. Bowens ends the sequence with a reverse Attitude Adjustment for two. Now it is time for each person to get a big move on the last person in the ring combined with dives. The Demand starts to triple team Bowens and Toa gets the cover for two.

Ricochet tags in and misses a Spirit Gun. This sets off the tag team alarm and everyone in brawling in the ring until we are back to Ricochet and Bowens. Bowens gets a spinning DDT from the second rope and goes to the top. Bowens shoves off Kaun and Speedball takes Ricochet down before diving to the floor onto Kaun. Bowens gets a running PK for two.

Time again for everyone to get a big move on the last person in the ring. Bowens reverses Vertigo for a rollup for two. Ricochet tries for an O’Conner roll for two and they trade quick rollups for two. Bowens gets the Mollywomp for two, but Ricochet had gotten a blind tag to Kaun beforehand. Kaun and Toa get a two-man slam on Bowens for the pin and the win.

Winners: The Demand

As The Demand are beating down Bowens, Max Caster comes from the back saying something. When Jetspeed is able to turn the tide, Max joins in to help. The Don Callis Family attacks, but then we get the Conglomeration joins the brawl in the ring.

In the end, it’s the Conglomeration standing tall as we are desperately out of time!!
